  The hotel is good. The bed was comfortable but the gym was a joke. Its tucked away in the basement and the ceiling is so low that my husband couldn't use the treadmill. The ppn rate was very high and I couldn't see what I was getting for the money.

  Un excellent emplacement, un bon service et des chambres très confortables si vous y allez seul ! Les salles de bains dans les chambres ne me semblent pas très fonctionnelles (les parois de verre) font que l'acoustique et la lumière affectent le compagnon et dans la douche il faut placer les accessoires au sol et c'est assez inconfortable, sinon fortement recommandé.

  My son and I had a great stay in this hotel. The location is perfect to discover Madrid (near to musea, Retiro-park and shopping area). Our room (superior) was quiet and very, very clean. The staff is discrete, yet very helpful when needed.

  Charmant café dans le hall Hôtel très bien situé au centre de Madrid. L'attention des réceptionnistes est excellente à tout moment. Je n'ai trouvé qu'un seul bémol... L'accès au parking. L'entrée est très très étroite et la maniabilité à l'intérieur est à prendre avec patience. Il faut dire aussi que c'est l'un des moins chers pour la région qu'il est.

  The hotel was good, but I have been in other ACs that are better in terms of renovation (rooms and common areas). I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and I was given an upgrade for a room. But the room was too old. Next day I asked for a new room, renovated, and they gave it to me. Breakfast was very good, location was great. Hotel needs renovation.

  I loved staying at the Marriott Recoletos, as they made my stay during the pandemic period very comfortable and pleasant. Even my Tonic and Gin was perfectly prepared! I’m definitely coming back soon.

  I can't say enough about the people working here at Hotel Recoletos nothing seems to a problem for them. They are always super nice and trying to make my stay here better. All the staff here are amazing and have made my stay here in Madrid Great. I would recommend this hotel based on the people working here! Think the Marriott organization should take the time to recognize the excellent people that they have representing them here at Hotel Recoletos.

  We spent 13 nights at the AC Recoletos and we had a wonderful stay. The staff was very attentive and made our stay easier specially when traveling with a toddler. During breakfast at the hotel, Agustin offered us great service as well as the other staff members in the restaurant. In addition, Rebecca and the rest of the front desk staff made our check in/out process very easy and assisted us when needed help such as printing documents, etc. The hotel is conveniently located in Madrid City Center. Lots of walking venues to visit from the hotel and nearby metro station. The hotel has a parking garage which was a benefit for us because we had a rental car. Will be staying again the in AC Recoletos in the upcoming 2020 year and look forward to seeing their staff again.

Además de contar también un espacio cultural en el Bar, con sus constantes conciertos de Jazz. Con lo cual, ofertan un espacio cultural incluso para los huéspedes del propio hotel.

  Early arrival at the hotel was granted a very nice and quiet room overlooking an internal garden. The staff welcomed me as a returning “family” member and were always extremely welcoming. The hotel lies in a quiet corner in upscale Salamanca district and is ideally located if you want to shop or visit major museums. A little treasure right in the centre of Madrid!!

  We had an amazing stay. The staff was friendly and helped us with our lost luggage claim with the airlines. They serviced us with a smile every time. The bar tender was exceptional. He quickly brought the drinks and was quick to respond when we pushed the button.

  The hotel has a good location in a quiet street but very near to the interesting points of the city : Retiro Park, Prado & Reina Sofia museum and good bus connections to the city centre. We had a warm and efficient welcome and the staff was very helpfull in recommending restaurants. We had a superior room which was very quiet and with enough space We only had breakfast which was good and a very helpfull staff In conclusion : nice hotel with a friendly staff and a good location

  Walking distance to Salamanca shopping district and Gran via / downtown. There's a small supermarket which is convenient and Retiro park is also close. Almost all tourist places and museums are located in walking distance. I stayed this hotel twice for work but will definitely consider next time.

  Our hotel stay was excellent. The staff was very helpful and we worked with many different staff people; front desk, bar, house cleaning. All were very polite and met our needs. I would recommend the hotel to others. The location was excellent. Salamanca district is great for walking, eating, discovering, etc. Near museums, Retiro park, beautiful plazas, transportation, etc. Rooms are a little snug, but you are in one of the nicest parts of the city for an excellent price.

  Stayed here for three nights. Once arriving the front desk was courteous and had everything prepared. Our room was pretty stylish and had a balcony overlooking the street. The hotel has good parking so I felt like my car would be safe. Super comfortable stay. Highly recommended for business and leisure.

  Tuve la oportunidad de pasar un fin de semana en Madrid luego de una semana de trabajo. Se me unieron mis hijos universitarios. El AC Recoletos resultó excelente por su cercanía a medios de transporte y lugares tanto turísticos como de comida. Era mi primera vez en este hotel y definitivamente será mi primera opción para otras visitas en Madrid.

  We found the hotel to be comfortable and in a great location! We walked around the entire city and were able to walk back to our hotel easily. Really enjoyed the fact that the hotel was so close to retiro park! And not far from the hop on hop off bus line! Breakfast in the morning is unbelievable! Staff is also great! Nice to have a gym after all of those great tapas!

  Très bien. Les chambres sont très bien et très bien équipées, les lits sont larges et confortables ; la salle de bain a tout, et bien sûr tout est très propre. Un détail : dans chaque chambre il y a une cafetière à capsules Nesspreso, ce qui est très utile. Ma chambre n'avait pas de vue car il y avait un patio intérieur, mais il était assez large pour laisser entrer beaucoup de lumière. Le personnel de la réception est très sympathique et professionnel, parfait. De plus, certains jours, il y a un groupe qui joue du jazz en direct, même si je pense que ce n'est pas tous les jours. L'emplacement est excellent, il ne pourrait pas être mieux, il a la station Recoletos à moins de 5 minutes à pied, ainsi que les stations de métro Retiro et Banco de España. Il se trouve juste au coin de la Puerta de Alcalá, du parc du Retiro, de la Plaza de Cibeles, de la Gran Vía, etc. Les petits déjeuners sont très bons, ils ne sont pas très copieux, mais tout y est de grande qualité, par exemple, du très bon jambon Serrano. Le personnel est également très bon, sympathique, etc. Il y a une salle de sport mais je ne l'ai pas utilisée donc je ne peux pas en parler. Il y a aussi un parking, bien qu'un peu étroit et difficile d'en sortir, il faut donc faire attention. Aussi l'entrée de ceci est aussi la sortie.

  Emplacement imbattable. Quatre étoiles car notre chambre avait une fenêtre au dessus qui était contrôlée par une télécommande mais c'était assez compliqué à comprendre, il n'y avait pas de notice et on dormait avec toute la lumière. Je ne pense pas que nous étions dans la meilleure chambre. Le personnel très sympathique.

  La atención de todo el personal es sobresaliente: encantadores, amables y serviciales. Facilitan la resolución de cualquier problema inesperado. El tamaño del hotel es ideal para no sentirse agobiado por el resto de huespedes. Su localización lo hace céntrico sin ruidos o incomodidades.

  I came over from the US for a week-long business trip. It's a very nice hotel, located in a nice area of Madrid within walking distance of high-end shops and restaurants. The staff all spoke English, which was helpful especially since my Spanish is poor. The breakfasts are some of the better European breakfasts that I've had at other hotels.

  Fabulous location near best restaurants and high end shopping. Great service in hotel. Spotless room. Very modern, minimalist design. Not plush, however. But reasonably priced for the location, which is still walking distance from all tourist spots if you can walk a mile or so.

  This AC Hotel is the best AC Hotel in Madrid I stayed in in the last 18 months. AC Atocha is comparable, but room quality and set up is better in Recoletos. AC Carlton is poor compared to the other two I stayed in. The service was good and rooms are quiet and clean. For Recoletos speaks for sure the location. In the middle of a vibrant area for shopping and dining, with a short distance to Madrid city core. One comment in general regarding Marriotts reward system. I stayed for in the last 18 months four times in AC Hotels in Madrid. Every time I got a questionnaire, but only one time I got my credits for stayed nights on my account. I am struggling with my loyalty to Marriott, as the reward program was until now the differentiator to other Brands. I stayed this time for my arrival night in Madrid in another Brand.

  La combinaison de transport pour accéder à l'hôtel est très large et très proche. Le service du bar était excellent et de très haut niveau. L'ambiance est très cosy et avec une décoration élégante, moderne et contemporaine. Je félicite l'attention de la personne qui nous a servi au bar lounge.

  Status not recognized because they say they are only a 4 Star AC hotel. Bathroom flooded everything we showered, never fixed. Room service menu lacking. Machines didn’t work I. Fitness center. Would have been better using Priceline or Hotwire - would have had a better experience

  Je suis allé à un concert au bar de l'hôtel, le cadre est sympa, le service du bar est très sympathique, le son est parfait et les musiciens sont très bons. Seul bémol, j'ai demandé un verre d'eau pour accompagner le verre de vin qui était au prix de 5 € et ils m'ont informé qu'ils ne servaient pas d'eau du robinet. S'ils avaient mis de l'eau, j'aurais peut-être apprécié un autre vin. Le prix du billet pour le concert, 20 €, me semblait approprié, les musiciens et le technicien du son doivent vivre des concerts. J'apprécie que l'hôtel s'engage pour une musique de qualité.

  I was in Madrid for business. Ended up staying at two different marriotts while in madrid because i extended my business trip and the Madrid Marriott Princesa was booked for the extra days. This hotel was 2miles away. This was a delightful hotel with great entertainment in site. they had a live band the day we were there. awesome nightlife, very safe area. good restaurants within walking distance. Just an overall delight. i would stay at AC Marriot again in any trip returning to Madrid.

  Hemos estado muy a gusto en este hotel. Localización excelente. No tuvimos molestias de ruidos callejeros (estando en un segundo piso exterior). Trato cercano por parte del personal. Instalaciones bien mantenidas. Agradable decoración. Habitación y cuarto de baño amplios. Mucho espacio para guardar equipaje. Aire acondicionado que funciona bien. Radio/cd en la habitación. Muchos goodies. Desayuno excelente.

  On paper and in photos, this property should have been great; in person, it is another story. -- The rooms are very small (even by Euro standards) and though the decor photographs well and appears sleek, the furniture is actually quite uncomfortable. -- Bathroom is similarly cumbersome (sink is very shallow with only an inch between spigot and bowl and hard to wash your hands); shower door only extends halfway and thus floods the bathroom floor when you shower. -- Gym is tiny, barely more than a treadmill. -- No bellman of any kind, no one to get a taxi for you and the front is on a small side street. -- Thermostat in the rooms is one of the most INSANE things I've ever seen and resembles what you would see in a cockpit of an airplane. Very difficult to figure out and thus get a comfortable temperature. -- Morning coffee is NOT provided and the coup-de-grace of my unfortunate experience at this hotel was its audacity to charge €7.00 for a single cup of coffee. On the good side, the location is excellent: easily walkable to most areas of central Madrid where visitors will want to go and subway stations are nearby. Also, the television has a few international English news channels (BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC). But, overall, save your time and frustration and go to any number of other great properties in the area.

  AC Hotel Recoletos is perfectly located in Madrid in a quiet street but still full of restaurants. It is walking distance to everything you want to see and do while in Madrid. The hotel is quite small and everything works so well. The staff is very friendly and helpful an we got helped with everything we needed, always with a smile. Breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room was nice and quiet. The guest room was well designed, but no too designed!

  Wonderful location, great staff, very friendly... However the rooms' design includes a translucent wall of the bathroom which makes it very annoying to use it at night if you have a sleeping partner, as the whole room lights up... Really weird and uncomfortable. I really regret that detail because the location is hard to beat.

  The neighborhood was quiet, centrally located with several very good restaurants close by. Casino 3 blocks away and Retiro Park 2 blocks away. It is not a big luxurious hotel, but it is very comfortable, staff is great, room was very comfortable, bathroom excellent, and we enjoyed all 5 days. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  El hotel se encuentra situado en una de las mejores zonas de Madrid, a unos pasos del Parque El Retiro, al lado de Calle Serrano en donde existe una gran variedad de comercio. Y a unos minutos del centro. Este hotel tiene unas habitaciones muy cómodas, la cama es perfecta para el descanso. Todo se encuentra en perfectas condiciones. El desayuno es una delicia. Pero lo más placentero de la estadía lo hace la amabilidad y calidad del personal del hotel. Me he hospedado en éste hotel en tres ocasiones y con seguridad volveré a él cuando tenga que viajar a Madrid.

  Bon hôtel, comme tous les AC et très bien situé. Nous avons eu un problème de bruit dans la chambre, à cause de la machine à air dans une autre chambre, et ils nous ont proposé de changer de chambre à 4h du matin. C'était une délicate attention, mais je ne comprends pas comment un hôtel comme celui-ci peut avoir de tels problèmes de bruit. S'ils n'avaient pas eu de chambres gratuites, nous n'aurions tout simplement pas pu dormir

  The Hotel Recoletos is a walk away from many Madrid destinations, like Retiro Park, the Prado, the Thyssen museum. The staff are warm and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the hotel's jazz nights. Hotel staff were very accommodating and offered us lots of tips that made our time in Madrid memorable!

  Fuimos a pasar un fin de semana el matrimonio con una niña de 5 años y todo fue perfecto. La ubicación del hotel es privilegiada, al estar a menos de un minuto del parque del Retiro, de la zona comercial por excelencia (barrio de Salamanca) y muy cerca del centro de Madrid. Salir temprano por la mañana y correr por El Retiro es algo impagable, sumamente satisfactorio, o simplemente ir a pasear o de compras por la Calle Serrano y sus aledaños. El hotel cuenta con un desayuno completo y muy satisfactorio y alrededor hay todo tipo de restaurantes de muy buen nivel.

  This hotel is located in a convenient location to the great art museums of Madrid, the outstanding Retiro Park, and several museums.   Despite not having many of the amenities I've become accustomed to as a Platinum Elite member, this is my preferred hotel in Madrid. The hotel is modern and well maintained. The location is excellent. But most importantly, the staff is amazing. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. I checked out of the hotel for a short trip to Seville and when I returned a few days later, it felt like coming home. Only a friendly and attentive staff can make you feel that way.

  This hotel is a compact, welcoming, modern complex with which it would be difficult to find fault. I enjoyed the staff. Courtesy, the careful design features. This is an hotel with access to the busy heart if Madrid, but is an oasis of quiet and calm. Very definitely a good place to stay and in which to relax and to eat well.

  Stayed here for 3 nights during recent Madrid trip. The location was very convenient to the train station as well as restaurants. Within walking distance to Retiro Park. We rented bicycles from a rental store 1 block away and spend the morning cycling in Retiro Park. Highly recommended. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. Property had updated furnishings and great value.

  The hotel location is very close to the famous museum and the park. Around the circle there are many options for dining. The service of the hotel is really good. If you are not used to the late dinner time in Spain, room service or the AC lounge might be a good choice for you. All staffs are nice and friendly.

  I have stayed twice at this property and both times I enjoyed it immensely. The rooms are very nice, the staff is friendly and helpful and you can easily walk to (or ride a bicycle!) to all kinds of shops, restaurants and sights.

  Really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The room (412) was quiet and comfortable. No view to speak of and no coffee maker. Location is a little bit out of the old town but you can walk there in 10 minutes.

  After visiting the Spanish capital several times I have found the perfect hotel. The AC Recoletos is not only very comfortable and nice to stay in, it is in a very good location; close enough to all the sights, but far enough to be in a tranquil and calm area. Connections are wonderful as well; several subway stations a couple of blocks away; close connections to the rail stations (one can even be walked to) for day trips away from the capital, a 'cercanias' (suburban trains) station close by and even a 'Aeropuerto Express', the express bus service to the airport, stop a couple of blocks away. Not only all that but the wonderful, wonderful staff at this hotel literally made me feel like I was 'home' away from home. I intend to only visit this hotel in all my future visits. I didn't try the restaurant but it looked quite nice, both for breakfast and dinner, with a nice ambiance and enticing options.

  Overall a good stay. Noise was an issue on the first morning due to renovations but this was resolved and we were moved to a better location/room upon request. A more proactive approach would have been the best but nevertheless outcome was much appreciated and welcomed. Staff were very warm and welcoming, a big plus. cheers

  This hotel was comfortable and quiet. Close to shopping and within walking distance of major attractions. I only ate the breakfast meal as this was a business trip, but the food and service were both outstanding. If planning a future visit I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

  Just stopping in Madrid for the evening going back to the states. I chose AC Recoletos for proximity to Atocha train station and central Madrid (Gran Via) so I could enjoy a night out. Very near Alcala Gate. Rooms are clean and the staff is welcoming. Above average AC Hotel in my opinion due to location and cleanliness. Internet worked great and overall a great option for central Madrid.

  Je ne peux pas parler pour l'hôtel car je n'y ai jamais dormi, mais je fréquente le café du hall élégant, calme et confortable pour rencontrer des clients dans une atmosphère détendue et intime. Les prix sont élevés, à l'image du quartier, mais la carte des boissons et snacks est variée et de qualité, et le service est sympathique. Ils offrent le wifi gratuit, ce qui est très utile lorsque l'on travaille. Une bonne option pour une rencontre avec quelqu'un qui travaille dans la région de Retiro-Salamanca.
