Positive: The helpful, cheerful employees made the visit very enjoyable. They are trained to assist with a smile. Staff at the front desk was the most accommodating person I've ever met. They weren't to busy and she took the time to show me some of the property Negative: The construction made navigating difficult, but I will be back after they finish to see the glory of a 1925 historic building that deserves its place on the register.

The Vinoy is a beautiful hotel and the location is great; however, the price during construction was not commensurate with the experience. Staff was excellent. The room in the tower was nice but not what you expect for the price.

We went to St. Petersburg for the Tampa Bay Blues Festival and the Vinoy was one of the partner hotels. We use Marriott points for our stay, and they upgraded us to a nicer room because of our member status. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the tower which had a great view. The Vinoy was only a block from Vinoy Park where the festival was held. We ate at Paul's Landing on the property and were very impressed. We also use "Small Bites" for room service which was very good.

We had our son and daughter in laws wedding ceremony and reception at the Venoy. Everything was wonderful and lovely. Staff is attentive and thoughtful. Food was delicious. Our wedding/ event coordinator was wonderful. Our guests loved the hotel, and the city of St. Pete. Perfect choice for their wedding weekend.

There is never a good time to do construction in the hotel business but it would be helpful to be aware on ongoing construction when you book. We booked a water view and were placed in a room overlooking the construction truck zone and the tennis courts-we were told it was a garden view. They also stated if we went out on our balcony a looked past some buildings we could see the water. Then told they had "upgraded us" :) If you stay at this hotel insist on a higher floor with a view of the marina so there is no confusion. Also, on your first day find Joseph Dobson, Navigator, he is so knowledgeable about the area and knows all the good restaurants. Too bad we found him on our last day.

The place looks a lot better online. Rooms are badly in need of updating. Surrounding area is a neat little place, lots of shops and restaurants. On-site dining was fine but not great capacity so if the hotel is busy, plan ahead. Valet staff was great.

We always love the Vinoy but know that there is renovation going on right now. We typically love being on the pool/water end but this time it wasn't available due to the high number of rooms under renovation. That coupled with the amount spent on staying doesn't leave me feeling thrilled. Still a great place to stay.

Nice hotel that is being renovated. We stayed in the new section which was very nice and had a patio. Paul's Landing Restaurant had amazing food. The pool and pool service was very nice, staff were excellent. Worried if the hotel was at capacity there would not be enough seats at the pool.

The hotel is in a wonderful location. The housekeepers are kind and considerate which is crucial in this day and age. The front office team were not accommodating or kind in anyway. Our greeting was unfriendly our departure even worse. We came in to celebrate our anniversary, there was no mention no record of it. We asked to be placed on a high floor instead we were on the second floor facing the trash and the tennis courts. While it was fun to watch people play tennis it was disappointing not to have the accommodation we asked for. Our refrigerator broke in our room, when asked to replace it they brought up the wrong size and had to leave it on the side. When the engineer opened the cabinet that housed the fridge it was so filthy and disgusting. During a time of Covid cleanliness, this surprised us. Our sink clogged up as well as our toilet. They were quick to have somebody come up and fix it. The hospitality industry is struggling to get good labor in other words people who really care about their guests. We will take this into account and most definitely try to stay at the hotel at another point in time. We would not discourage people from staying here as this hotel is loaded with potential and we have sent many people here that have been happy.

I booked my reservation well in advance and used points and suite night awards, making sure to indicate a wide variety of upgrade choices. There was no communication from the hotel. The day before arrival, I checked to ensure that specific room types were available and contacted the hotel, indicating my membership status and desire for an upgraded room. The staff member apologized for the lack of communication and indicated that someone would respond. I never heard from anyone, and upon check-in, was given a rundown room with a mildew-filled bathroom. I found the staff to be lacking in hospitality and guest-focus that I typically experience in other Marriott properties.

I found delight in every aspect of the Vinoy. The hotel was gorgeous, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the amenities outstanding. Plus, it must be noted that rooms with water views are not to be missed. To see the sun rise in the morning from the vantage point of my bed is an experience I will not soon forget. Thanks

We were on an extended car trip from the panhandle to Boca Grand. We scheduled a stop in St Petersburg and we were torn as to whether we should stay in St Petersburg or St Pete Beach. We made the great choice to stay at the Vinoy. It is conveniently located in the midst of wonderful restaurants as well as fun activities. Convenient = walking distance. Our 2 night stay was a treat and the ongoing reno was not an issue. We enjoyed the golf as well.

The resort was very nice when you arrive, but the room accommodations where in very bad conditions. The room was very dirty. There was a used ketchup packet on the floor in the room and things very uncleaned in the room. The property seems like it has potential, but the cleanliness was very bad. That for me is unacceptable. The construction crew was walking around the hotel instead of sticking to their construction area. The construction was a very smelly and overwhelming situation. But over all the cleanliness was the biggest issue. The bathroom was horrible as well. Not clean at all… and to be the most expensive hotel in the area and not be clean seems like a huge problem to me.

We have traveled to St. Pete on multiple occasions, and the Vinoy is now our favorite place to stay! Austin at the check-in did a wonderful job of directing us to our room, and the gentleman that took our luggage was equally as kind and attentive. The pool area was clean, and the bar served up some delicious drinks (we loved our bartender!). Our room with a view of the bay was in the newer building, and was gorgeous! Overall, we were impressed and will definitely be back!

Misleading as to what to expect, falls way below a 4 star hotel, more of a 3 star with prices of a 5 star hotel. Beware of their daily charges, we were charged 4 different rates per night. Quality of rooms extremely poor, and the new remodeled area of the hotel is quite far away from the main and only entrance of the hotel. Room service quite deficient, and towels old and worn out, amenities of low quality. The ONLY so called Restaurant is more of a cafeteria. The only good think about this hotel is its location. Overall, We do NOT recommend this hotel, it had better days, not now.

The best feature of this hotel is the location on the waterfront. Next is service. I wish to be a guest again, but rather than having a room in what I'll call the annex, a long walk from the entrance and lobby, I prefer to be in the main building. I was placed in the annex this time because I want a room with a walk-in shower and, apparently, those are available only in handicap rooms---in the annex. I have one more reflection on my stay. I ate dinner one night in Paul's Landing. The food was very good, but the area was stark and cool. Could you decorate it so that the ambience is a little warmer?

They all went the extra mile to make sure we had a wonderful time!

We stayed at the Vinoy for a friend’s wedding in mid November. Hotel is right on the water overlooking harbor and within walking distance to activities at the harbor, museums and restaurants. The old world hotel itself is in need of a renovation. Our room smelled musty and moldy, the furnishings were worn, the bathroom in need of a renovation and the carpeting seemed dirty. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure exceptional.

The hotel it is amazing nice, super comfortable, great location, clean, great historical building and I would like to share and recognize 2 AMAZING EMPLOYEES that made a HUGE POSITIVE EXPERIENCE at the Vinoy Resot. At the check in, Greg from the front desk helped us out and gave us a warming greeting and also congratulate us for our 14th years anniversary and he also go a SUPER NICE room with a amazing view. He was super nice, very professional, very polite, very helpful and most of all he was a perfect example of a GREAT EMPLOYEE that I would say 5 star and Dimond service. I would like to say to Greg, thank you very much to make our staying the best ever! Another employee was David from the SPA. We joyed the spa on our last day and David was super nice, professional, happy to talk and explain all the SPA activities to my wife and I. We offered us a great customer service 5 STARS & DIAMOND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I TRULLY THANK YOU THESE 2 EMPLOYEES FOR THE AMAZING HELP AND SERVICE. Marcelo N.

From the moment you pull in you feel special. The hotel staff at valet, the bellhops and the front desk make it all so easy to arrive, unload and then get around in downtown St. Pete. So much to do in the area plus the historic hotel surroundings made for a wonderful three days. The cabanas and pool were fantastic and enhanced by Paul's Landing. The food and drinks were excellent and plenty of staff to pamper you. Shuttles to the golf course made everything so seamless. When time to relax back in the room no detail was overlooked. Can't wait to return to enjoy another stay.

After researching so many hotels in the area and we finally found the absolute perfect solution, the Vinoy. It was the best quality hotel we have stayed at in years, it’s the perfect location, walking distance to everything, the views are spectacular, the hotel is modern and vintage at the same time, extremely clean and well polished, the staff are super outgoing and very very friendly, the food was incredible, we have absolutely no complaints, which is rare! So this is the best choice by far and we have stayed at some very exclusive hotels.. this place was our favorite

We stayed at the Vinoy Renaissance in St. Petersburg for two nights for a wedding and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The food that was served during the rehearsal dinner (the wedding reception itself was at a different location) was delicious and we also ordered room service and ate at Paul's Landing. Everything was great! The room we stayed in was spacious and exceptionally clean. My kids absolutely loved the pool. Service was very friendly during our stay. If we are ever back in that area we will definitely be staying there again!

Overall the hotel is very nice. The dining at Paul's Landing has a very limited menu but what you received is good. Do not accept a room overlooking the dumpsters in the Historic (old) building as you never know when they will be picking up the trashed building supplies and you will have a racket waking you up at 6:00 AM.

We stayed an the Vinoy for the Boat Races on 9/6/2021. We were very impressed with the grounds, how friendly the staff was and how beautiful the hotel is. We are history buffs so all the memorabilia, displays and timelines outlining the creation, decline and rebirth of the hotel was very interesting. The view was beautiful along with the gardens surrounding the Hotel. The Pier location is just fabulous with easy to walk to fine dining, shopping and the spectacular Vinoy Park. One of our favorites is the African Tulip Tree and we are very curious what time of year it Blooms. If we find out, we will be certain to be back at that time.

We stay at The Vinoy several times per year. I was married there, and most recently, my daughter's Bat Mitzvah celebration was thrown in the Plaza Ballroom. In addition to our hotel rooms, we also booked a hospitality suite. Everything was perfect, minus what they call cleaning the suite. There were empty cups, candy wrappers, and trash left all over the room and on the outside deck. We weren't even sure it was cleaned, but the staff said it was. Additionally, when we called the front desk one morning, the woman was extremely rude, cut me off while I was speaking, and ended the call before I was finished. I know they've had A LOT of turnover lately, as we went through four event coordinators in two years. All in all, it's still our favorite hotel. We just hope the staff can get it together.

Top notch service! The hotel is older, so go in with realistic expectations for room (and elevator) sizes, etc. But the amenities were enjoyable, location is perfect and the service is exceptional, from a complimentary room upgrade with bottle of champagne, to the immediate, prompt service, always with a courteous smile. I cannot wait to return for a romantic weekend getaway with my wife.

We had an excellent stay at the historic Vinoy. We enjoyed the large pool with 2 hot tubs, water aerobics, gym, golf, massages, and beautiful spacious tower room with balcony. Bonvoy platinum and above received breakfast discounts. The breakfast was very good. We also enjoyed great lunch, dinner, and bar food and drinks. The lobster salad and seafood tower are outstanding. You have the choice of self or valet parking which is especially nice during the pandemic. All staff were wonderful. Sandra at the Paul’s Landing restaurant is a great asset to the resort as well as Susan at the front desk. We really appreciated the birthday chocolates and champagne.

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that the beds are really comfy and the rooms are quiet and just the right level of cool without being cold a/c all night. 1 other nice thing: The bathroom was large, clean, and there were plenty of towels. The granite counter tops are lovely and the hotel leaves you with soap, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Very nicely and neatly placed There were individually wrapped cups and an ice bucket with individual bags to be sure it was clean. Furniture was beautiful, view of the water (though tiny) was lovely. The front desk is iffy. If you call you get ALL KINDS of club numbers but not info about the rooms, check in etc. The check in is SUPPOSED to be 2021 electronic key, which I didn't get until just hours before my arrival. And the battery operating not just my room door (all electronic key swipe not insert) but all my 20 relatives staying there..failed. And when the front desk "clerk" who was very young, 1st couldn't remember my room number so I suggested (Im 63) that she put the number in her "notes" in her phone..she was 25 or so and she should already know that. the story: my key didn't work on the door. I went back down to front desk waited in line, and asked for another key. I went back upstairs and THAT KEY DIDN'T WORK either. So I asked for a workman to come to my room asap as I was late for the event I need to get showered etc. The front desk gal (see above) tried her key, then tried to call for workman from the phone at the elevators The workman came, was very polite and efficient. He was not surprised at all because ALL OVER THE HOTEL the door lock batteries were dead. The hotel is GOING to renovate and replacer these locks as they run out of battery often He wanted to come into the room and spend 10-15min replacing the battery or recharging it. I asked for him to come back in an hour as I would be gone for 4 hrs at my event. The workman said I need to call the front desk when I returned. I said no..I had already dealt with the front desk 3x to get this resolved. The young lady from the front desk who was standing there agreed to contact workman in an hour and have him come by. She did not, He did not either...as it turns out she or someone from the front desk DID come by and instead of calling him to fix the lock, she put a DO NOT DISTURB hanger on the door, which is the signal for NOONE from the hotel to even knock, much less come in. I am sure that do not disturb was suppose

The location, staff, hotel, amenities, and pool are fabulous. The room was "surface" cleaned and disinfected, but could seriously use a deep clean (dust, baseboards, carpet and upholstery cleaning, etc). The bar in the lobby of the hotel had drinks, though good, were ridiculously expensive ($25 for one cocktail for a medium shelf liquor). That's just silly. We literally choose other locations outside the hotel for that reason; otherwise, this is super convenient and nice to sit out on the porch with a drink. The staff was great, courteous, always helpful, and prompt (for the most part)! The location was great: close to bikes, scooters, walking/biking trail along the water, a small beach (though it was closed to use during our stay), many restaurants, and museums. The pool was great, drinks were good. The staff there were nice and attentive. The water was great, not overly chlorinated at all like a lot of public pools, and they never balked at my request for more than one towel. :) There are areas where they could improve, but that wouldn't deter us from staying here again.

this hotel is just lovely and the staff are extremely friendly. It is very clean and the location is fabulous. We asked for early check in and they were not able to accommodate us. And the only other issue was that on previous stays we (our small group) were able to use the rarely used common areas in the hotel to bring in food - this time they would not allow it even though those areas were empty the whole time we were there. Hopefully next time, they will reconsider

Positive: The service was excellent in the restaurants and at the pool; amenities, view and location were all outstanding. Our room itself was extremely spacious with two gorgeous, gigantic windows. Negative: Had to wait 45 mins for our room, and our bathroom left much to be desired. There were rust stains on the tub surround and a dark unknown stain down the middle of the tub, as well as peeling wallpaper. Definitely in need of a renovation/update/repair.

TampaGal./ 5Le 08/06/2021 à 00:00
The hotel itself is a classic, the location, restaurants and views were fantastic as well as outstanding pool service, but we (my family of four) had a 45 min wait to check into our room (apparently someone forgot that we were waiting downstairs for the “final inspection” of our assigned room) and were there to get ready for a nearby wedding at 6pm, which caused an absolute mad rush to be on time. I actually ended up retrieving my bag from the gated luggage lock up area and began to do my makeup in the lobby. Finally, the front desk associate that checked us in earlier upon arrival and was the person who originally notified us that our room needed to be changed (we were assigned a king bed rather than two queens originally) happened to walk by and noticed we were STILL seated downstairs at 4:45pm and made a quick effort to get us our keys. This was not at all the impression I was expecting from The Vinoy; the irony was that I had called the hotel in the morning to try to arrange for an earlier check-in so that we would have extra time to prepare, but since that couldn’t be guaranteed we showed up just a little bit before the regular check-in time of 4 PM, assuming we would be able to go right to our room at that time. As for the room, it was absolutely beautiful and spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and while the bathroom was nicely appointed, the tub and wallpaper left much to be desired. There were two very noticeable rust stains on the tub surround as well as what appeared to be a dirt or wear stain/streak down the middle of the tub. I do believe the rooms were clean; these were simply wear and tear issues, as well as peeling wallpaper beneath the open style sink that is highly viewable from the tub. Not sure if this was just our room, but it definitely appears that renovations/updates are due. I would give the front desk/staff coordination a 5/10, however the rest of the amenities were an absolute 10/10 for service.

The convenient location of the Vinoy positions you within walking distance to so many fabulous experiences and restaurants of the St. Pete area! The hotel is immaculate, the staff is professional and kind, the rooms are generous and the beds are a dream! Who knew being out of town for a business meeting could result in such relaxation? The history of the hotel is an added bonus and the strategically placed photos are the perfect accent. If only the walls could talk! I look forward to returning.

This facility is beautiful, landscape, architecture, the design of the rooms, location near galleries and the pier, excellent dining options nearby, and completely classy, professional staff who set the time for an atmosphere of excellence and comfort simultaneously. I was here for business and stayed only one night but wish it was more. I love the town and the hotel and will definitely come back!

It’s been 20 years since I stayed at the Vinoy, and I remember a time when it was a grand hotel and a place to be seen. Unfortunately, that’s not what we have today. On the upside, the valet service and bell service was prompt and efficient. Of course, you pay for parking, but the staff is worth the money. Breakfast was good in the only dining (VERY, VERY casual) facility. More is expected out of this property than parking cars and breakfast. Service in general was just OK. The 2 bar visits, one was good, but the second day at the outside bar, staff were wondering around ignoring us sitting at the bar. In addition: My wife a week in advance tried to get a spa treatment, but no one returned her call until it was too late and there were no reasonable options. The hotel room was average “Holiday Inn”, with plastic cups and mediocre coffee. Nothing extra, save a robe. The most shocking part of the trip was the lack of dinner options. There is no formal dining arrangements for a hotel built on style and formality. This is offensive to the history of the property and making the guest walk across the street for dinner options is unexplainable, and the staff is clueless, when asked, about how strange this is. This property “all sizzle and no steak”. I expect more from Marriott AND CERTAINLY, more from a historical property like the Vinoy. Overpriced.

Valet staff are super welcoming and not fake. As you walk to the front desk, folks are friendly and warm and accommodating. The rooms are old but we’re still beautiful as we were in the historical section but we’re more than excited about the beautiful “Bay view” room we had. The hotel as a whole is emasculate and cleaning staff addressing things all the time! Pool staff and servers are fantastic! Paul’s landing breakfast was ok but staff and Christian (our server) was adorable and friendly and fun! The pool is beautiful, the towel staff and pool staff amazing including the servers who deal with the heat all day and are still so friendly! You must try the charcuterie board in the lobby to 2, 4, or 6 people! Apps are great and bar tenders are awesome!!!! A well deserved “10” for the money!!! Thank you Venoy!!! We’ll see you again soon!!

From the moment we pulled up to the entrance to when we left our experience at the Vinoy was excellent. The historic property is stunning and kept up immaculately. We stayed in the renovated guest towers. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and so Chic. There is so much within walking distance, it was a great mini getaway for my birthday. We got a late check out and enjoyed the pool on our departure day. The real standout during this stay was the staff. All we encountered made us feel special from the valet, to the front desk to the lobby bartenders. We will definitely be returning.

Sadly disappointed with this hotel - it’s supposed to be such a “wonderful” place to stay. Firstly; we were contacted 15 minutes before the 4pm check-in time to be notified that our room was NOT available and that we had to change rooms. Why the Vinoy waited until 15 minutes before check-in is completely beyond me, considering we did check-in via the app TWO HOURS PRIOR and was informed at that time the correct room with the correct sized bed and correct view was available. Secondly; when we did finally check into the room that was available, it was FILTHY - the sheets were visibly dirty there was food all over the floor and furniture (of which I have photos). At that point they sent us to yet another room on a lower floor. Thirdly, the last room that they moved us to was smaller than what we had reserved with a completely different view (of the PARKING LOT) and they charged us more money than our original reservation. Fourthly; we were told we would have a credit for complementary drinks at Paul’s Landing because of the complications - which we never got. During our visit to Paul’s Landing we were informed the main restaurant was closed and this was one of only two choices for “light meals and bar food”. At that time we were also approached by the manager that evening, Mohammed, he informed us our appetizers would be credited and they were not. Even the food items on the menu were incorrect. The ceviche wasn’t Snapper as noted but Mahi and tasteless and this was verified by the manager. The only positive experience was when dealing with the valets and bellman. My experience with this hotel makes me question the Bon Voy program and their loyalty to their customers.

Very friendly staff who were very accommodating. Greg at check in went out of his way to take care of us. Pauls Landing offered wonderful breakfast options in a great environment. Would like to see improved coffee options. Nice cozy bar area and relaxing front porch overlooking the marina. Sometimes the bar area, which is open in the lobby got a bit rowdy, like a college frat party with kids spewing fowl language. Such a fine hotel shouldn’t be subjected to that. Poor parenting I suppose. Nice place, great staff. Highly recommended.

The Vinoy is a lovely property. The food was generally delicious and environment enjoyable. Staff was pleasant and polite. I loved the location of being able to walk for coffee and breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening. The pool area was nice. Would love to see the full resort being used for guests however I understand with things returning to normal not everything is in perfect order just yet.

Had a beautiful room that was recently updated and very nicely appointed. Spectacular water view out of one of the sliding glass doors. The room was spacious and comfortable. There is only one restaurant at this time - Paul's Landing. Casual and the food was excellent, but I miss the elegant dining room and lovely brunch. A very nice visit and we were pleased.

Stayed 3 nights and overall was a nice hotel. As a Marriott Bonvoy member we knew we were arriving early (1:00 pm) and requested a early checkin but ended up not getting the room until 4:00 pm. Not the end of the world. Once in the room, the mattress pad was ripped and exposed and the sheets were too small for the king size bed. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was room cleaning service only on one of the 3 days we were there and if there was a Covid related reason for that, it was not properly made known to us. The staff were great; very professional and made us feel welcomed there. I took special note of the enhanced security which made us feel safe. The pool and food were exceptional. It’s really the location and the vintage feel being there is what makes this property the best. I would stay again , we would only hope the room was a bit cleaner next time especially for the amount of money we paid.

We were there for just one night, for a wedding but we really enjoyed our stay. You feel like a big wig when you stay there and the staff is always friendly and willing to help. We ate breakfast on Mother's Day at Doug's Landing and our waiter, Christian was very friendly and accommodating. If you are looking to spend a luxurious night in downtown St Pete, this is really the best hotel to stay at.

As a longtime Marriott customer, I was very surprised at the level of disrepair in the guest rooms in the historic part of the Vinoy. It wasn't just poor housekeeping (dirty sinks with toothpaste still in them, hair on the counters and in the shower); it was also a lack of regular maintenance and an indifference to quality. I truly don't remember having stayed in a Holiday Inn that was in this bad of shape, let alone a Renaissance. After seeing the first room we checked into, we asked to be moved as the chair in the room was so dirty and stained, the carpet was torn and patchy, and the shower was mildewed and dirty (just to highlight a few things). The second room we moved to was only marginally better, and unfortunately no other rooms were available at the time we stayed. There are a few things that could easily have been done to quickly improve the initial look of things like snaking the shower drains so that it actually drained, new shower curtains and new bathmats and bedsheets that actually fit the beds (the bottom sheet kept popping off the corner and really made the "signature Marriott bed" experience unpleasant). I realize that the historic part is "historic" (and in fact I love that the hotel has history!) but that should not be synonymous with a lack of maintenance and upkeep, especially in a Renaissance hotel. The only reason I gave the hotel a "Fair" rating is because the pool deck was great. The staff helping on the pool deck, the cleanliness of the pool deck, all top notch and exactly what we would have been expecting in a Renaissance Resort Hotel. The public areas of the hotel were also beautiful, and although disappointing that the historic Marchand's Restaurant was closed for our visit (assuming due to COVID), there were many other options nearby in St. Pete that were great. The staff was also very friendly and helpful but, unfortunately, we will definitely be looking elsewhere for our future stays in St. Pete, at least until the hotel has a complete renovation, as the guest rooms were decidedly subpar for a Resort level hotel.

This is probably the best hotel in the world, definitely the best value, at any price. The pool is beautiful, the public areas are beautiful, the guest rooms in the main building (my preference) and the new tower are all beautiful. But what always sets the place apart are the staff. They are wonderful and always make you feel like you are a true guest, not just a faceless customer. I have stayed here many times and hope to return here many, many more.

Visited on business for a conference and it was an all work and little play type situation, but what I did see was impressive. Very beautiful, historic venue, near the water. I checked in late first night and was "stuck" having to grab dinner at their hotel bar. The staff took in this weary traveler, made some menu suggestions, and provided me an excellent meal and service. The rooms were absolutely everything you would hope for, even from an older venue. The bed was one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept on. Woke up very rested each morning. It's on my list of places I'd love to visit for fun someday. Enjoy!

We stumbled across this place and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel and area. The bar and lounge stayed open until midnight. There was plenty of outdoor seating with firepits. Awesome workout room. Didn't experience the spa, but it looked great. I wouldn't bring my kids as the pool closed at 7. There are many nice restaurants and places to walk in the area. Great place for adults and couples.

Awful experience. I booked this resort for a lowkey bachelorette. Absolutely no regard for customer service at the least. The first receptionist that checked me in was helpful. Everyone else acts like they are forced to be here and won't provide any information unless you pry it out of them. No extra towels, sheets, blankets provided even though they specifically ask for this info during booking process. When someone did bring extra blankets, he knocked over a glass of champagne and just said I'm sorry. Didnt clean it up, ask for towels so he could wipe up the floor, but proceeded to watch me without offering to help. This is just common courtesy; if you make the mess, clean it up. No activities at all. I understand covid, but there can still be small activities. Everything including gym needs reservation, but is not noted anywhere. If this was noted, I would have reserved in advance. When I emailed staff they left unanswered questions. With what this place is charging i would have been better off booking a cheaper hotel with this level of service and amenities.

The property is located just off the main downtown waterfront shopping and pier - everything is easy walking distance - or close proximity to transit or bike rentals. Husband I and enjoyed a short walk to the park to watch the sunrise one morning. The property is beautifully decorated and provided ample spots for drinks or relaxation from the front porch to the inside bar area, outside by the pool and in a raised grassy area overlooking the marina. Hotel room was relatively clean and bed were comfortable. All service related interactions with strictly hotel staff (bellman, dining, check in were wonderful.). My only disclosure for this property is that there is a high volume of locals who have a membership to use the facilities. This did put a but of a slower strain on their service at the pool and indoor bars as well as a bit of a delay at the very small valet stand. All in all we would return to this property for the proximity to downtown and comfort of our room.

We stayed one night and had a wonderful experience! Clinton at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate our stay and was very hospitable. We stayed in the new tower and loved our modern designed room. The beds were so comfortable and up to par with Marriott standards. My 10 yr old son had a swim at the pool and it was nice and relaxing overlooking the marina. Excellent area to walk and explore! We would definitely book here again! I loved the old Art Deco feel of the 1960s flair of the aristocrats feel of the veranda and lobby area.

Wonderful hotel built in the early 90's restored to its original grandeur. The service was amazing from check in through the entire stay. Kudos to the management for being able to accomplish this consistently! Heck we even had a glass of champagne during the short wait for check in. We stayed in the new tower building. We had a nice roomy clean room a short walk from the "old" building. We had a balcony room but I would highly suggest a Bay View room as the view in the back is of the tennis courts and a dirt parking lot. The Vinoy also is easy walk to many restaurants and the Pier. Fun!
