  Aujourd'hui, je suis allé au buffet, le goût de la nourriture était très bon, les légumes étaient pratiquement crus, ils devaient faire plus attention et les carottes totalement crues ne pouvaient même pas être mordues.

  Très grand hôtel avec le meilleur emplacement. Les chambres sont grandes, très propres et disposent d'un grand lit king size. Le personnel est toujours très sympathique et serviable. Le délicieux petit déjeuner buffet est varié, avec des plats chauds, mais aussi du muesli, des toasts et toujours des fruits frais. L'hôtel dispose d'une superbe salle de sport et d'une belle piscine extérieure avec de nombreuses chaises longues. Juste en face de l'hôtel, il y a un petit centre commercial avec quelques restaurants et à quelques pas, vous pouvez rejoindre un grand supermarché et de nombreux autres restaurants de la classe moyenne à supérieure. Seul le trafic du matin et du soir (heure de pointe) est très gênant. J'ai séjourné ici pendant presque 2 semaines pour affaires et je reviendrais à tout moment.

  Très mauvais service. En charge de l'espace petit-déjeuner avec un traitement très éloigné du service client. Ce fut une expérience qui ne se renouvellera pas car je n'y retournerai pas.

  El hotel esta bien ubicado, frente a un centro comercial. El personal muy atento, ya desde antes me habian ayudado con una agencia de tours e hice todo con ellos, muy buena: Willy Tours. Me dieron hasta curitas, porque me hice una herida en el pie, y fueron muy amables. Hay autoservicio de lavanderia, lo cual me parecio genial. Aceptan mascotas :) El desayuno es muy bueno, y como teniamos que salir temprano, nos dieron descartables para llevarnos el cafe para el camino. De hecho que lo super recomiendo!

  I always really liked this hotel, they had a fun vibe and friendly staff. I’ve recommended it multiple times to other people however this experience was not good. We had the rudest staff the entire time, I have no idea what was going on but it was like we were on a Hidden camera television show. There was one nice employee who stood out, a gentleman who works in the bar area. Our room seemed dingy and old as opposed to what I’ve experienced before. Disappointed in our stay this time I’m sorry to say.

  My first time at this hotel, it suited me well for my business needs. Near to shopping and dining, within walking distance. Lobby is a little kitschy for my taste with purples and blues. Beyond that, the room was great. Spacious and well appointed, with good working space. I got a good night's sleep each of the two nights of my stay. Decent breakfast in a nice restaurant area overlooking a nice garden. Low point is that there was no hand soap available. For me, inexcusable. Of course, you could use the gel soap in the shower, but with your wet hands and a wet shower as well? I did ask for it at the front desk, but after a long explanation, still not satisfied.

  A really wonderful hotel. Everything was fantastic: the comfortable beds, the bathrooms, the spaciousness of the room, the TV and appliances. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Shops and restaurants right across the street via covered walkway. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

  La habitación debe ser más insonorizada, se escucha los demás huéspedes por la puerta y por las ventilas del aire, las cortinas deben permitir entrada de luz y el baño debe tener otro mecanismo de puerta para que cierre por completo y no cueste abrirla y cerrarla, por otra parte, muy cómoda la habitación, el alfombrado del suelo es muy buen detalle, bonitos diseños y concepto en general, camas cómodas y A/C excelente. Ricas comidas y buenas amenidades.

  I visited the hotel as I was moving from CR to USA and would fly on the next day. I was carrying 6 large luggage and 2 carry-on bags. This hotel did not offer a service to bring luggage to the room. I asked for a car trunk and they didn’t have one. I left my daughter watching over the bags at reception while I brought up to the 6th floor two pieces of luggage at a time. Not once they showed any empathy or offer any help. They didn’t acknowledge my elite status and loyalty to Bonvoy. They charge for the coffee. Hotel room was clean. That’s the I only positive thing I can say about this hotel.

  This was an excellent hotel close enough to downtown San Jose. Customer facing staff was bi-lingual. Hotel was clean and following all Covid protocols. Area is clean and safe. Modern grocery store within walking distance .

  My partner and I went to sleep at this hotel for one night. We wanted to get up in the morning to cheer our family in a cycling competition that was happening throughout the 27th route in Santa Ana. We got to the hotel at 11 pm, and went to sleep. Around 1 a.m, one guest started putting very loud music, like a disco. After almost 3 hours of not sleeping, I called the front desk to complain about this because I couldn’t imagine how it might be possible that no one in the staff had heard all that noise. They told me that they would get right away to our floor to talk with him. Music got quieter for a few minutes. And after a while it all went back to the same volume as before. We thought hotel staff were going to attend this. After being exposed to that noise until past 5 a.m, my girlfriend called the front desk again and she was told that the staff had no authority to shut off the music, as the guest was in his room. And that they could set us another room for the rest of the night (how was this a solution at 5 a.m and in a second call?) We are very angry and disgusted about this situation, because hotel staff were negligent, we invested a lot of money to sleep well and have a good time with our family, and not only we didn’t get much time to sleep but because of this situation missed our family’s participation at 6 a.m.

  The location is great for if you are going to stay in the area. The rooms are spacious and very well lit. They also look and feel really nice. The higher floors have nice views of the mountains and the buildings nearby. It's a shame that the pool and restaurant or bar are not on the rooftop.

  Hotel is showing its age, specially on hallway carpets and furniture. Breakfast does not have a lot of options, but I'm guessing this is COVID related since breakfast buffet was much better a couple years back. Great service from hotel staff. Elevators are a bit slow and this is further aggravated by COVID restrictions (just 2 people at a time). At times elevator was at capacity and still stopped at multiple floors on the way up/down.

  The overall stay was pretty good but our check in wasn’t really pleasant, the agent should have a little more empathy, he send us to park, it was raining a lot, we follow the indications he gave us, coming by the pool, but there is not directions where to get in so we ran around as crazy and got wet with our luggage. In regards to the room and food service it was really good, definitely a place to rest and sleep well.

  Je ne me sentais pas bien. Design industriel, chambres et employés inhospitaliers, un mini buffet qui n'en est pas un mais qui fonctionne comme une cantine. De plus, des choses comme des détecteurs de mouvement dans les chambres et un montant ont été bloqués sur la carte de crédit sans qu'on nous le demande. Je ne réserverai certainement plus.

  Realmente la pasamos bastante bien. Sugerencias: Debería existir cubierta de techo entre el parqueo y la recepción. Las habitaciones, no son aisladas acpusticamente, desde adentro se escuchan todas las puertas cerrarse de las otras habitaciones y conversaciones del pasillo. La opción de la piscina, recuerdo cuando empezó y era un proyecto nada mas, aporta muchísimo. El desayuno entre semana no es buffet, pero podría haber otra opción, no solo pinto, o tal vez no nos la afrecieron

  I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now for weddings and vacations. It is in a good location about 25 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from Escazu and multplaza. The backyard restaurant has a really good breakfast each morning with eggs, gallo pinto, and fresh fruit. There are many restaurants within walking distance including the mall across the street with the Olive Garden and Johnny rockets. The hospital metropolitano is about a mile down south ($2 Uber ride) where we got out Covid antigen test for our flight home. The Aloft has free parking, free WiFi, and a safe for your valuables. You need a room key to get on the elevator from the lobby so we felt very safe. I will definitely be staying at the Aloft hotel again soon.

  The Aloft Santa Ana experience was overall pleasant. Everything was clean. The amenities are fairly minimal but about what you need to get through the next day. Some additional amenities would be nice without breaking the bank - such as providing facial tissues and a backup roll of toilet paper. My teenage daughter used the last of the toilet paper which I didn't notice until I got up at 4 AM to use the bathroom. That was a major strike against the experience. The breakfast was plentiful, delicious and filling. The restaurant staff was really thoughtful and attentive to detail. The front desk staff was not always in the kiosk and at times difficult yo identify. One reception associate was friendly, polite and helpful. The other seemed like we were bothering her to be checking in to the hotel. The location is fantastic. I think the room was overpriced compared to another lovely, well-located property nearby.

  You offer many things that appeal to us, black out blinds , English channels, great breakfast, friendly staff. One of your front staff that worked on Sunday in the afternoon( I can’t remember her name ) but she helped us make an important call that we could not understand and she helped us translate. She went over and above to help us with a very friendly demeanor.

  Every stay at the Aloft in Costa Rica has been exceptional. They take offer a personal touch and focus on the customer in every interaction. The experience has not changed, even though so many things have changed since the pandemic. I beleive the Aloft has remained true to their core principles and still executes perfectly.

  I stayed here for 6 nights during a recent business trip and cannot recommend this location enough. The food is fantastic, the staff is very nice and accommodating and the lobby is full of fun activities. The gym and pool are always clean and ready for use. I would stay here again!

  The hotel itself is convenient to a lot of amenities. The breakfast is great and is included in the stay. The staff however seems although not rude just not interested in going above basic job responsibilities. We arrived at 2:15 pm and were just told we can’t check in until 3. Very understandable but that was it. No “let us store your bags“ and offer suggestions to have a bite to eat or drinks. We asked for an early taxi and reconfirmed. Unfortunately if was not done. Just had a strong impression that we didn’t matter.

  Generally okay room, friendly staff. The food in the hotel isn't amazing but you have a lot of options nearby. However, they play music all day and night in the corridors at a loud enough volume that at night you can clearly hear it. Made it very difficult to sleep. Ignoring the fact that pop music is not everyone's kind of genre, it's incredibly annoying when you just want some peace and quiet. I asked the reception if they could it turn it down at night or if there was some kind of "quiet floor" but the answer was just "no, this is standard in the whole hotel".

  Hotel was very modern, which I like, and the room was clean and had great views of the mountains. I was there for a week, and the food was not only very good and very authentic, the food and beverage staff were top notch. Even with all the guests staying there, they did a great job remembering my preferences and how I liked my coffee. The front desk staff was overall okay, as there was only one individual who was rude and obnoxious, but I figure everyone can't be perfect so will try to let it go. Generally speaking, a very good stay.

  L'hôtel est tout à fait correct. La piscine semble beaucoup plus grande sur les photos qu'elle ne l'est en réalité. Les chambres sont modernes mais rappellent Las Vegas. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est correct. Un parking surveillé est au coin de la rue. Tout en un d'accord, mais je n'aurais pas à le refaire maintenant. Pour nous, c'était le dernier hôtel avant le vol de retour. En général, nous avions des logements bien plus agréables au Costa Rica. Le petit déjeuner était assez bon. C'est en fait 3,5 étoiles. Malheureusement, il n'existe pas, alors j'ai décidé de lui donner 3, car ce n'était certainement pas 4 étoiles. Le personnel n'était pas assez sympathique pour cela et vous n'étiez qu'un autre invité.

  Bon rapport qualité / prix dans un hôtel moderne stylé avec chambre très spacieuse et douche italienne très large . Un petit-déjeuner continental très copieux avec fruits tropicaux et autres : un vrai régal !!!! Ne pas hésiter à réserver.

  En general la estancia estuvo bien. El cuarto fue bonito, tenía todo lo necesario y estaba limpio. Algunos puntos a mejorar: 1- Estuve en la sala de reuniones #3, y fue un poco incómodo porque tenía vista a la piscina, por lo que sirvió de distracción. Se necesita privacidad. Obviamente se puede cerrar la cortina, pero no se quería oscurecer la sala. 2- La calidad de imagen de la televisión no fue buena, penas regular. 3- La comida no fue un punto algo, no fue que sabía mal, aunque si estaba salada en general. He comido en Aloft antes y me parece que esta vez no fue de alta calidad. 4- Las paredes del cuarto son delgadas, y se escucha mucho los ruidos de las habiciones continuas o el pasillo. A pesar de que no hubo mucho ruido, cuando lo hubo se notaba mucho. 5- La piscina no se usó, pero se nota que ocupa más privicidad, tal vez más vegetación, ya que se puede ver todo desde los edificios de Forum 2. 6- Estuvimos un rato trabajando en una de las terrazas (la pequeña, no la del lado de la piscina), y había un olor muy fuerte a gas, parecía que había algún tipo de fuga.

  The hotel, overall, is very contemporary and has great decor. The hotel is located directly across the street from a 24 hr McDonalds (which ends up being handy), and is walking distance to several other US restaurants (Johnny Rockets and Applebees), as well as a supermarket. The staff, other than the front desk, was great - very friendly! The front desk seemed too busy to attend to needs. The food at the hotel is great! There is a great bar and lobby has a pool table to use. The pool is very small and only gets morning - noon sun (late afternoon the pool is shaded). The rooms are very clean and comfortable, but the wall are very thin. Sometimes the noise in adjoining rooms sounds like it is in your room. Natalie (bartender) was GREAT!! There is a tour company (Greyline) that sits in the lobby to plan tours. It was a very affordable hotel for what you get, but know that you are quite away from downtown San Jose. If you wanted to go into the city, a taxi would cost about $20-$30. I would recommend for people not planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel - not a hotel you would go to for lounging around the pool and relaxing.

  Front desk staff needs more training. We (4 of us) felt like the staff were not trained enough. They could not help us or answer us properly sometimes. We got this ticket for tea and coffee as a gold member compensation. I asked for a tea and two staff said they don't know how to use the machine. I talked with my colleges, they had the same experience. I asked to book an airport taxi, instead she kept explaining shuttle bus so I ended up calling the local taxi company by myself. Staff in the restaurant and bar was very friendly. The breakfast was decent but I had stone from the rice. Amenities are very limited. But the house keeper was very good. Overall, I can't say I was impressed and would go back. I will probably go to different Marriott hotel in the area next time. I felt like it was not matched to Marriott Standard.

  Beautiful and clean hotel in great location. Make sure you confirm with hotel staff before you arrive that the room you reserved and paid for is correct. We were given the wrong room and nothing was done to rectify the situation. Otherwise, an awesome hotel for a quick stay before flying. Also, the shuttle only runs at set times, so you’ll probably have to cab or ride share to airport.

  I did not like this hotel. Staff overall is nice and attentive. However the hotel is very average. It might be a style preference but I think the style and design of this hotel is cheap and tastless. Music that the hotel plays in the lobby, restaurant and elevators 24/7 I found to be very annoying and tastless again. The food is not good, staring with breakfast finishing by dinner. Every time I ordered guacamole it was never fresh (could see by color). Facilities such as gym and pool is also very average. Hotel also doesnt not have much of a nice outdoor space that you would expect from the hotels in Costa Rica. Yes it is close to the airport. But there are many other lovely hotels around for slightly higher price but much more appealing. I have been travelling a lot including Costa Rica and this hotel doesnt meet any of my expectations. I understand that Aloft style is supposed to be modern and trendy but it doesnt resemble any of that. If you want to escape America and live Costa Rican experience dont stay here. If you want America in Costa Rica and are looking for a place for an overnight stay, go ahead - bed is comfortable.

  On a campé avec notre campeur VR loué à côté de l'hôtel. Le gardien a surveillé durant la nuit suite à notre conversation. Endroit calme et sécuritaire.

  Bar moderne, service très bien, la bouffe semble pas mal (mais je n’ai pas mangé..) ambiance décontractée et il y a une table de billard. Le lounge est super cool !

  My family and I stayed at this Aloft 3 nights on the front end of a 12 day vacation to Costa Rica and 1 night on the back-end before flying out of San Jose. We enjoyed the stay here very much. - The rooms were modern, impeccably maintained, and very comfortable. - The breakfast buffet was excellent and provided alot of choices, featuring both American and traditional Tico food and plenty of fresh fruit and other healthy options. This helped us make the most of each day here, since we could very quickly enjoy a big breakfast, go out to explore nearby attractions, and not have to worry about having to stop for lunch later on. - The Aloft was about 10 minutes from the airport, and provided a pretty good location from which to make day trips to volcan Poas, Irazu, and San Jose. The neighborhood the Aloft was in was also much nicer and safer than San Jose, with plenty of nearby restaurants, supermarkets, etc... - Finally, the staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. I particularly enjoyed chatting with Adrian B. and Liset L. at the front desk everyday. They helped make the stay even more enjoyable.

  This hotel was an excellent value. It's a 1.5 year old building. I highly recommend you include the breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the hotel in general very clean. It has a new gym with new machines, cold water, towels and TV. My room had all the amenities. Lots of restaurants nearby. It has a nice bar and great music.

  I have stayed at this hotel probably about 10 times now, since before it even formally opened. Its the first Starwood property in San Jose, Costa Rica. The hotel is great, its new, great casual atmosphere, tidy and clean, and well located for airport and coastal highway access. The rooms are typically Aloft, and are comfortable with great support for all your IT needs, lots of outlets, USB ports and more. The lobby bar is fantastic, great drinks, nibbles, and entertaining too. The most outstanding thing about this hotel is the service, the team is incredible. They remember me each time, always recall my latest trips or how my work is going etc, they are so polite and yet casual. Nothing is too much trouble for this team, they make it fun to come back each time. From requests for extra pillows, the HDMI connector kit for connecting your laptop to the 42inch room TV, to making reservations at restaurants and more every time it is done with a smile. I cannot say enough about the team working there. I'll be back in a couple weeks, and I am looking forward to it.
