  We had a lovely stay with a view of the fountain of Neptune. There was so much within walking distance - it's a perfect location for enjoying Retiro Park, Prado Museum, Grand Via, Peurta del Sol and so many other things. Taxis are lined up out front all hours and there are several bus stops out front, too. Very close to metro as well. The rooms are well appointed, and maybe it's because of Covid, but there are no coffee makers or kettles in the room. They were offering a bottle of water per day per guest and a coffee or tea once per day as well. As long as you're not in your room all day that's plenty. The staff are all helpful and kind. We met a man who has worked there 40 years! His father and grandfather also worked there. That's some dedication! There were a few minor issues with our room itself - surprisingly the bed was very squeaky and loud when anyone got in or out of it. No sleeping through someone else's movement. One of the windows didn't seal properly so the noisy sirens were getting in - we reported that issue and I bet maintenance has fixed it by now. It was room 229. Other than that it was an amazing room with plenty of space. More closet space than we could ever need when traveling, which meant we could easily store away the luggage....
