I am a local but from a different part of the country. Love staying there just for the relaxing experience. I highly recommend enjoying a meal on the various patios and having a cocktail at the lobby bar at night.

Un hôtel de chaîne classique, très propre mais montrant son âge. Super petit déjeuner et une belle grande cour calme avec différentes piscines. Juste en face d'un grand centre commercial également ouvert le week-end.

pour ce qu'ils facturent, c'est un service moche: au marché, les serveurs vous servent mal; Ils ne vous laissent même pas d'eau dans la chambre, ils ne répondent pas au téléphone, je leur ai demandé de ne pas faire ma chambre et ils l'ont fait quand même, le service au bar est mauvais, LES MATELAS SONT INCROYABLES, j'ai jamais vu un hôtel 5 étoiles dans ces conditions.

Excellent service, très bel hôtel, bien entretenu et son personnel est très attentif aux besoins de ses clients, la nourriture est très bonne, le buffet est assez varié et le tout avec un très bon samson, nous avons eu des journées très froides et pluvieuses, rare sur la côte riche, donc nous ne pouvions pas entrer dans les piscines, nous sommes allés au centre en taxi et assez rapidement.

This is a very dependable hotel in San Jose. It is more of a north American experience but the hotel does blend the local culture into the environment. A great hotel for families.

Le marché a connu des jours et des temps meilleurs. Le service est lent et la qualité de la nourriture s'est détériorée depuis la pandémie. Il n'est plus ouvert 24h/24.

My last 2 stays have been characterized by several issues which should be of particular concern to the reputation of IHG: After checking in, as a platinum member I was directed to an "upgrade" room in the more distant, adjacent building. The room smelled strongly of tobacco so I called down to request to be moved right away. I was moved to a similar room on a lower floor. In this room the lights and tv did not work. I again had to request another room. The room offered was again in the adjacent older(?) building. These rooms lack many of the simple amenities that the "standard" rooms offer, such as good lighting, light switches, lights and plug sockets adjacent to the bed. I asked to be given a standard room and then waited almost 2 hours to be given one. At 10pm. After a long day travelling for business. The desk staff said the hotel was 98% full and no rooms were available. This is a shocking way to treat a Platinum member. IHG should stop presenting these old, un-refurbished rooms as "upgrades" as they are most certainly downgrades on a standard room. The hotels standards appear to have declined notably: 1. My standard room had debris on the floor when I arrived and it was not swept the entire time of my 4 night stay. 2. There were grease stains and smudges on the wardrobe door. Never wiped off. 3.My room was not attended to make the bed/remove trash on the third of my four day visit. When I told the man at the front desk, he just looked glumly at me and said nothing.(!) 4.The corridors had trash on the carpet that was not picked up for several days.

I expected the usual great Intercontinental Hotel quality service, but was disappointed. After check-in went to my room to find that bathroom was missing soap and shampoo. Called and was told these would be delivered. 2 hours and 3 visits to front desk later, I still had not received soap and shampoo. Hotel staff would apologize and blame someone else. To add to bad experience, mattress was old and uneven. Hard to sleep on. IHG needs to get involved in this hotel and fix things quickly.

The hotel rate for a car from the airport was more than twice the taxi or other transportation rate. No need to charge that much money for your guest. A free shuttle would be nice.

J'ai travaillé comme barman lors d'une fête d'entreprise Et mon séjour a été merveilleux... L'hôtel est incroyable Il dispose d'un hall spacieux A accès aux fauteuils roulants Il a un grand parc Il dispose de plusieurs services de santé Environnement calme et luxueux Personnel amical et responsable Grandes chambres et espaces Et les barmans sont de qualité !!!

This hotel is within walking distance to the Multiplaza Escazu, and is easily accessed by a skybridge. Great location and beautiful hotel! Room service pizzas were outstanding!

Staying here was part of our San Jose experience. The staff was so friendly, particularly the girl at the front desk reception check-in. Breakfast and evening social was above and beyond our expectations. Particularly the evening social, where we met and had great conversations with other guests. We were centrally located and conveniently located walking distance to the Multiplaza Mall. Definitely we will book here again when we come back.

What a wonderful opportunity to escape for a few days from the early winter in USA and be ensconced in a truly remarkable hotel environment in great city of San Jose, Costa Rica. This hotel with with resort surroundings that are prepared for the needs and whims of its clients made me feel welcome and important. The food choices provided a range of options to meet most any taste and were presented by gracious staff. The pools were a welcome sight from the terrace at night and I was rewarded with pleasant settings throughout my stay despite overcast skies and windy weather that still ranged in a comfortable 70-80 F. I will gladly return soon.

Teníamos el check in a las 2 pm , llegamos a las 3 pm y no tenían habitaciones disponibles , me la dieron hasta las 4 pm por insistencia y porque solicite hablar con el gerente. De verdad deja mucho que decir de un "Hotel" de esta categoría y que no tengan las habitaciones disponibles a la hora que corresponde.

Stayed for a conference that was being held locally and enjoyed the atmosphere of the Intercontinental as well as the proximity to shopping. The room itself was old and a bit "beat up" with stains and holes in the carpet, yet clean and each day the room was serviced very well. The breakfast food for Club members was just ok and after the first day knew that ordering an omelet meant a ten minute wait. The service folks in the Club were very friendly and welcoming. The ability to use the spa facilities was most welcoming and the fitness room had just about everything you would want. I stayed in some other places when in downtown San Jose that were very nice and better food options yet half the price. Being an Ambassador member, I decided to try here first and was not disappointed.

Stayed here one night prior to flying out the next day. It was raining in San Jose but this hotel was perfect for just that! Warm, heated pools. Great food options, comfy bed, and amazing bathroom! All reasonably priced!

I was recently in San Jose for business and normally stay with another brand. IC was recommended and I wasn't disappointed. Staff were friendly, used your name and were exceptionally patient with my mediocre Spanish :-) One of the more comfortable beds I've experienced in a long time and I travel a LOT! Bravo InterCon San Jose - I will be back in a few weeks and look forward to it!

All 4 of the restaurants have less than adequate food The hotel needs refurbishment The suites which have jucuzzis need to have them revitalized as half the time they don’t work. The front desk staff is very helpful The location is excellent The pool and grounds are very beautiful

This hotel is very understaffed resulting in slow, inattentive service, especially in restaurants. Our room had steamed up windows, light bulbs that don't work and tired interior resulting a dark feel. The pool is not well cleaned, and staff are absent. Time for an investment in staff and modernization.

L'hôtel est super. Si vous demandez quelque chose qui n'est pas dans la chambre, assurez-vous de répéter la demande toutes les 15 minutes car cela peut prendre beaucoup de temps pour qu'il soit fourni. La seule chose répréhensible à mon avis est l'insistance absurde à mettre des couettes comme si vous étiez dans l'Himalaya, dans une zone dont je doute qu'elle ait jamais descendu en dessous de 20°C, c'est le cynisme ridicule et consumériste de l'époque.

Chaque fois que je voyage à Cr, ils m'ont hébergé dans cet hôtel, mais cette fois, la chambre était un désastre. La salle de bain n'avait pas de savon. La salle de bain était cassée à l'intérieur lorsque vous avez pris un bain, l'eau est sortie sur le sol de la salle de bain car il y avait pas de porte, en fait j'étais inquiet car cet hôtel avait perdu en qualité. J'ai apprécié le tout compris, ce qui semble tout à fait raisonnable pour le rapport qualité-prix, cependant, étant le week-end, il fallait de la musique live dans le bar principal et de meilleurs meubles dans la piscine, dans laquelle il n'y a qu'un seul parapluie pour tout l'hôtel . .

Black mold in bathrooms. Furniture is outdated. Food service is slow. Bars close early at 2200 or 2300. Poolside bar is not open. Beds are comfortable and there is a good variety of food options. The amenities are nice. The outdoors pools have varying temperatures, the hot tub and the gym are open 24/7.

This hotel is super close to home and we stay every time we need a little break without driving to the beach. An oasis for tired parents. Food is delicious, sleep quality is great and the service from employees is super nice. Can´t wait to use the spa next time.

Not as good as the pricing. Breakfast and other food was extremely good. But there are many missing in the bathroom/the room. Room service takes time to answer the phone. Shower system is not user friendly.

Un très bel endroit, les sushis du restaurant Nau sont très savoureux, plus les desserts s'ils nous devaient, j'ai essayé la banane tempura et la vérité était qu'elle n'était pas riche, elle manquait de saveur et un brownie qui était bon plus tout le reste était parfait.

I´ve been a loyal costumbre for more than 20 years. Actually a diamond member, I don´t know what to expect from them when I arrive, maybe the problem is that the hotel was full with soccer teams from around the world and the 70 night customer doesn´t matter. My room key didn´t worked and call 3 times to fixed it and still waiting for that, also need to talked to the manager still waiting. The wifi in my room is awful.

The property is very beautiful, and my room was very nice and spacious, and the room and also bathroom has nice amenities. A safe, a refrigerator, a coffee machine and products - coffee and tea, and the refrigerator was nicely stocked, although I did not take advantage of it. I really loved the morning breakfast that was included in my room rate, and I loved that it opened at 6 AM, because I am an "early bird", and I kept waking up early due to time difference in my country - USA. The wide choice of food, and the choice of omelets and other egg dishes, directly from the Chef. Also, the choices of pancakes, and waffles, and many choices of breads and rolls and pastries. There was a wide variety of fruit, and yogurt, and many other warm dishes to choose from. Also, the waiters were very attentive and courteous. I did NOT get recognized as an IHG Rewards Member. Are my points for my stay posted?

Upon arrival, my booked room was unavailable and this was resolved the next day. The staff were always attentive from the front desk to the room service and the restaurant services. The grounds were laid out well and easy to become familiarized with. I enjoyed a spa massage visit that was excellent and everything was well kept and very clean.

As I had said previously in one of the common fields on this topic I always feel so welcomed, safe and secure at your location. Most of the front desk staff (Temeley and Francisco) know me by name as well as the restaurant staff both (Daniel and Christian). Also as I mentioned the housekeeping staff is always so friendly and accommodating.

I stay at this property every month and since Covid they had to build up staff levels from scratch. At the behinning they had some struggles, but every time i stay it gets better. I can see they now have the team together to deliver the quality expected from an Intercontinental propert and really do their best to ensure guests are feeling comfortable and welcomed. I always enjoy my stay; the team takes absolute care of me all the time and it always feels great to be there again. Looking forward to my stay in September .

Super hôtel, très agréable, avec de très grandes chambres avec tous vos besoins, café, sèche-cheveux, mini bar, etc... délicieux petit déjeuner, très complet avec différentes sections de nourriture, fruits, tortillas, plats chauds. J'ai dîné sur la terrasse et je sais à quel point c'est incroyable, l'excellent traitement du serveur qui nous a aidés dans les choix, comme dans la nourriture. Très grande salle de gym moderne avec toutes sortes de machines de cardio et de musculation. Personnel très agréable et sympathique, toujours prêt à aider. Totalement recommandé. Super hôtel très agréable, avec de très grandes chambres avec tous vos besoins, café, sèche-cheveux, mini bar, etc... petit déjeuner délicieux, très spacieux avec différentes sections de nourriture, fruits, omelettes, plats chauds. J'ai dîné en terrasse et je sais à quel point ça s'émerveille, excellent traitement du serveur qui nous a aidé pour les choix, comme pour la nourriture. Très grande salle de gym moderne et complète avec toutes sortes de machines cardio telles que des poids. Personnel très agréable et sympathique, toujours prêt à rendre service. Totalement recommandé.

This hotel suffers from poor management. There are so many issues that it has to be an overall disregard for the brand. Where it starts, I don't know. But, I will say that it is not worth the money. There were (sex) stained sheets (in both my first and second room), dirty towels, mold in the bathrooms, front desk staff who kinda could care less, dead insects on the lounge sofas in the hallways. Maybe this once was a fantastic hotel. It seems that way. But, it has been neglected. It needs someone who actually cares about the place to pull it all together. Right now, it seems like the owners are just collecting and don't care about the brand. I hope this changes, because it could be an amazing place to stay.

I stayed at this hotel during Covid. Nice hotel, very good restaurant but with extremely limited services. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, so I booked again Unfortunately the same lack of customer service continues. As a diamond ambassador I had a certain level of expectations. I booked a premium top floor room. I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a clogged toilet. No water in room after traveling-I asked at the front desk and was told they don’t offer that. They told me to take something from the mini bar. Of course I was charged for it, and never received my credit. Service by the pool was non existent-I was never able to purchase a drink. When I asked to talk to a manager, I was told they didn’t have one, that she was in charge. I reached out to IHG to express my concerns. In the end the hotel gave me the required 10k points for not offering IHG ambassador benefits. So I overpaid for a 3rd floor room and a soft drink from the mini bar. I won’t make the same mistake again. This hotel attempts to ride on the IHG name, without providing the services or benefits. There are many other places to stay that actually appreciate their customers. Again, nice hotel with zero customer service. It’s a shame.

Front staff, are the first responders to new arrivals, these people fail to assist, arriving over an hour early before an allowed check in time i am informed the room is ready and I can go to it for an additional fee of 50 US dollars. When declined I was promoted to simply wait, I have no idea where the restaurants are or any facilities to use while waiting they simply ignored me, i haas to ask the cleaner where the restaurant was, fortunately the columbian staff there were kind and hospitable due to nature certainly not facility. I am disgusted by the lack of attention for a 300 dollar plus night room. Do not go here if you want service. - if you are encouraged by poor unhelpful, ignorant front desk staff than this is your place to visit.

Nous participons au salon ACCCSA, les salles de conférence sont très spacieuses et confortables. Bon éclairage et son. Le salon des exposants était très bon. Le service de restauration était le meilleur, varié et avec de grandes portions et l'un des restaurants situés derrière la piscine. Parking très bien, extrême et sous toit avec entrée rapide automatique. Si vous avez aimé mon commentaire laissez un 👍

Note que tela de las sillas del lobby estaba sucia. Ademas, había tela de arañas en el techo. El look en general del lobby es como que no ha recibido mantenimiento ni renovaciones apropiados. Solicite me ubicasen en habitacion cerca del elevador y me pusieron en la que estaba mas lejos. En la mañana no habia agua y jamas fui informado por el personal. Ademas, que cuando hice ver el problema en la recepcion, me dijeron que habia sido un problema no planificado (cuando lo son?). En las habitaciones no dejaban agua embotellada de cortesia, como se acostumbra hoy en dia en todos los hoteles de Escazu. El minibar estaba vacio, asi que tampoco habia forma de tomar una y pagarla. Pedi room service y el spagueti no estaba rico. Las camas, sabanas y las almohadas son comodas, ain embargo las sabanas ya se veian viajes. El Intercontinental es el mas caro de Escazu, por lo que lo seleccione, pero me encontre que en lugar de recibir algo mejor que los otros hoteles de lazona, recibi algo que no estaba incluso a la altura de los demas … lamentablemente muy por debajo.

Bel hôtel, les chambres sont spacieuses, la piscine agréable. Petit déjeuner varié et complet. L'ensemble des prestations sont bonnes mais à ce niveau le service reste à améliorer: La réception n'est pas pro active, les demandes sont expédiées, des oublis, il faut redemander plusieurs fois les choses avant de les avoir. La commande du petit déjeuner en room service est très désagréable on a l'impression de déranger la personne au téléphone, on ne nous indique pas ce qui est disponible et plusieurs choses manquent lorsque le petit déjeuner arrive en chambre. En résumé le personnel n'est pas au niveau de la qualité de l'hôtel.

Just got back from an great 2 night stay at this hotel. First off, I have to note the excellent recognition of Ambassador benefits and was very happy with the upgrade I received. We enjoyed all the amenities that the hotel offered including the spa, pool and restaurants. Javier at the main bar is an asset to your organization and we had a lot of fun sitting at his bar. The staff at the Club lounge was excellent as well and took very good care of us.

I absolutely love this hotel. It was my third time there . The last time I stayed there I had lost my passport and wallet. They were so gracious giving me a room until I had my new passport and credit cards. It’s safe and luxurious with incredibly comfortable beds ! Then there is the food ! So many choices for dinner ! This is truly a world class 5 star hotel. I will always stay here when I’m in San Jose !

At check in had two rooms booked for two night. Offered an upgrade for one room not the other . When I asked for both rooms to be upgraded to keep us together in the same part of the hotel refused. So I refused the upgrade. Food and drinks in the hotel very expensive . $28 per person for the buffet breakfast. The setting was poor with few tables outside. There were queues for the buffet. We left and ate breakfast in the disappointing and expensive Mall across the road which had attracted us to this location in the first place. A wedding and other events made getting a seat and service at the bar a frustrating experience.Having to ask for drinks a number of times, waiting to receive them over 10 minutes, more chasing round for a drink for a friend who joined us then trying to get the bill. Staff functional not pleasant .Again not enough seats outside. Shop expensive and limited items to buy On the positive side the room ,it’s facilities and cleanliness was excellent. Staff cleaning rooms a delight. Lovely person on desk helped us print our travel documents. Help also from pleasant Doorman. The heated pool and jacuzzi were lovely. The gardens pretty but lacked wildlife that was so abundant in other locations. Unfortunately we would not return to this hotel .

Staff was very helpful and courteous. We had them help with our party planning and excursions and they did an excellent job. I had 2 rooms while on my stay and one room the suite was nice and clean, but the other room was old dark and moldy. We had several maintenance calls placed to the second room in which they tried to fix most of the issues but couldn’t. We told them that the room needed to be put out of service until every issue was addressed. We didn’t do too much complaining because we were only there most of the time to sleep, shower and eat breakfast. Other than the one room, the stay was very good and close to shopping etc.

Service du petit déjeuner en room service un peu laborieux et une expérience quelque peu décevante au restaurant le Market de l'hôtel, car le service n'était pas à la hauteur du standing de cet hôtel. Beaucoup d'attente, et des oublis dans la commande.

L hotel est parfaitement bien place, le jardin est magnifique et la partie restauration vraiment optimale. Dans la chambre, Il devrait y avoir une carafe d eau potable pres de la cafetiere. Le lit est tres confortable et douillet. Cote petit dejeuner, les cereales du buffet devraient etre de meilleure qualite et eviter le sucre raffine. Les marques utilisees devraient etre plus organiques. UN PLUS: La chambre devrait disposer de peignoirs de bains. Merci pour votre merveilleux service hotelier

Très bon service en général, mais le matelas était irrégulier et les oreillers également. La piscine chauffée était indisponible et l'ordinateur du lounge n'était pas connecté à internet (impossibilité de faire le web check-in et d'imprilmer le boarding pass pour le vol du jour suivant).
