  Changed 2 rooms with Kithchen water hose broken( not working). Finally, give up and asked the guy to change a new one, wasted 1.5 hours. Room filled witha odour. Very noisy room. Even you changed in facing. The door and window is not sound proof. Location is beside highway. So sleep is disturbed.

  Last minute stay went really really good. They like the rooms the food the service was great but then the truck got broken into and other vehicles I guess and staff was very uncooperative so my son says.

  Je suis membre IHG et j'ai séjourné dans près de 10 Holiday Inn Express différents. Voici le pire. Le levier de la douche ne fonctionne pas et l'eau ne sort pas. La porte de la chambre peut être verrouillée, mais elle fuit. Le wifi peut être connecté mais très lent et vole fréquemment. Enfin et surtout, le petit-déjeuner coûte même plus cher.

  Good stay during thanksgiving peak hours. Bathroom shower knob is tricky to use, not user friendly. Plenty of parking considering thanksgiving long weekend. No room service available to clean the room on daily basis. This service was offered only if one stays for more than a week. I would like my room cleaned daily as I stayed for two nights and three days.

  Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything when trying to sleep. Horrible smell in the room of either mold or bug spray. Not sure which it was. Halls were dirty. Paying in advance for breakfast is a scam. If you can’t use it, you lose it and the items are cheaper to buy at the restaurant than purchasing the breakfast in advance. Don’t do it! You cannot get a refund on the prepaid breakfast option. Hotel is outdated and not worth the price.

  This is an older property that needs some updating. Overall, it appeared clean and comfortable. Updates would certainly help. The King size room was the largest room I've stayed in a hotel for a long time. We were tired and didn't want to drive somewhere for dinner or breakfast the next morning so we ate in the onsite restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at the food. Prices were a little high, but the quality and taste was fantastic. If you don't feel like going out, definitely dine here.

  I had a great experience at this specific Holiday Inn as I have had a great one at the last Holiday location I stayed at. I was first warmly greeted by the staff who made sure to check me in. They were also nice enough to check me two hours earlier than my original check in time. The room was very clean and overall I had a great experience!

  We booked a suite for a couple of weeks while working in the area. The room set up was perfect with a divided wall so one of us could sleep while the other worked. We ate in the restaurant several times and the food was very good. We'd like to give a shout out to the evening server. She managed to juggle several duties and tables and always with a smile. Front desk staff members were helpful throughout our stay, especially when we asked for more towels, coffee, etc (there is no regular housekeeping service). Usually, someone would call our room to confirm that the items were sent and I appreciated that. I did lose a ring of sentimental value and called the hotel twice after checkout to ask about it, but never received a call back. I wish I'd received confirmation that someone did indeed look. Other than that, our overall experience was positive.

  The room was huge and perfect for pets. The balcony was a nice touch to let air in and go outside. It’s right off the freeway which is convenient, but the highway traffic made it difficult to leave. There is a nice restaurant, but it’s a different package to have breakfast there. Most IHGs include breakfast, but not this one. There was also no service for shorter stays.

  Stayed for a family wedding with a couple other adults and I have to say they do it right!. The staff treated all of us like it was more an intimate hotel experience rather than a chain. Front desk staff, housekeeping, bar staff - everyone went out of their way to say hello, how are you, can I get you anything, and to make sure we had everything we needed. It was SO noticeable and I stopped at the front desk on the way out to let them know because it was something unprompted that all of us noticed - like by the time we left we all had these little stories about something that someone said or did that had really caught our attention. THEY DO IT RIGHT!

  We arrived late after a long journey. The bath had black bits in the bath as well as standing water. The shower was nigh on impossible to use and when we spoke to reception they offered to send someone rather than offering an alternative room. We then used the sink and found it had the most disgusting smell coming from the drains until we ran a lot of water down the drain. There was also suspect human dirt above the sink. We were glad to leave. We told reception when we left and they gave the impression that they knew there were problems with that room so why did they allocate it? Others checked in after us so it wasn’t the last room available.

  The man checking us in was very nice. That was the only good thing about our stay. Dirty floors. Mold in bathroom. Mold in AC unit. Everything was very run down. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in in a long time. Also advertised as a "two bedroom" but it was more like a one bedroom with another room semi attached to the living room. My mother in law stayed in that "room" and had no privacy whatsoever and got woken up by us having to walk through her room to go to the bathroom at night and by my toddler who was trying to sleep in the living room. We ended up cutting our three day stay short and found another hotel nearby that was a true two bedroom for almost the same price and it was much cleaner and nicer. I would not stay here again.

  I have been pretty loyal to IHG for most of my recent travel, but this hotel makes me wonder if I should look at other companies. The Hotel is in desperate for a refurbishment, it looks worn down and not clean, the beds are bad and on top of all when we asked for basic cleaning service we were advised you only provide housekeeping every seven days...!! That's crazy. If we would have known that in advance we wound't have booked this trip!

Tout le couloir sentait les toilettes, les chambres étaient inconfortablement grandes et démodées (y compris la salle de bain), la cuisine était vide, sans couverts, assiettes, etc. se plaindre à propos de. Tout semblait désorganisé et comme si le personnel était débordé. Nous sommes contents de ne rester qu'une nuit (d'accord pour ça) et de ne pas avoir pris le petit déjeuner.

  We have stayed at this property several times over the past several years. All of the rooms are generously sized and we especially enjoy the one bedroom suite when traveling with the grandkids on business. There has been an improvement in room quality since our last stay, however, the rooms need to be refurbished as they are starting to look worn. Easy access to the freeway. We felt very safe as we had no room service during our entire stay, which is fine with us. It is not the property's fault that Cal Trans was repairing the highway in front of the hotel, but it would have been nice had staff informed us of this week long construction when we checked in. As an IHG member, they should have offered us alternative accommodations on the "quiet" side of the property. The lounge is closed on Sunday night.

  Found women hair, dirt and other dirt under blankets. Slept on top of blankets. Found a dirty rag by the window on the floor. I’m starting to notice a trend in some of these holiday inns. Hoping this doesn’t continue. I stay at a lot of these hotels for work. No breakfast and juice machine didn’t work.

  Positive: When checking in the employee was extremely helpful really kind able She was able to accommodate me, I use a cane and she was able to explain where my room was without a string to my injured knee. Negative: There are two water stains on the carpet, that could¿ve been clean. Miscommunication between the kitchen in the lobby we were told by the lobby it was open until 8:45, we went down at 8 o¿clock we were informed that the kitchen was closed.

  This hotel lies at the Northern edge of the Santa Barbara County wine country. You can taste wines and not have to travel very far. As an added bonus there are also several restaurants in town that serve Santa Maria style barbeque. We've spent many weekends here and always feel restful and relaxed because we can go at our own pace and not have to drive home after an afternoon of wine tasting.

  We were there for a three nights stay at the Santa Maria Holiday Inn. When we arrived at our room, the room was surface cleaned only, but I had cleaning wipes to wipe the room down, and there was no daily housekeeping service. This three night leisure vacation was for relaxing. If, I wanted to clean my room each day, I would have stayed in an Airbnb. Would I stay here, again? No!!

  Positive: Perfect for north Santa Maria with plenty of parking. Negative: Maintenance should be a bit more courteous when closing their access doors during night hours, you can tell, it¿s the one with all the keys scrambling then the door slams. Even the guests at night are not as noisy.

  The shower/bath did not work, so did without. The hot tub was out of service and the pool was cold. Rooms were very large size and the TV/coffeemaker worked well. Beds comfortable. Quiet enough to sleep and focus on the work. There is better in the area for a similar price.

  We booked two rooms. Our room had a very loose toilet seat, and the other room the seat was totally cracked! Asked for help and a new seat but the desk said the staff was too busy and later said they were gone for the day. Poor staffing! The rooms were very large and clean. There were a lot of big dogs on the property and I was not good with that. I mean Large dogs! There was no management on staff and the desk people could only help in small matters. The only good thing was the bar and food areas that opened early. We were given a breakfast credit for our comp pkg.

  Not only is this hotel staffed by genuine humans who ensure you have a great stay, with spacious, comfortable, rooms, but the breakfast is a REAL breakfast!! You can get mini waffles and chicken wings, Santa Maria tri-tip steak burrito, pancakes, omelette, breakfast potatoes that are crispy and seasoned to perfection, all made to order. No awkward buffet lines. As someone with a digestive disorder, I highly value being able to actually speak to someone to ensure I’m not getting sick. The buffets cause a lot of anxiety because I can’t check what’s safe and what’s not and I just feel so much better actually being served by someone. I didn’t get to check out the pool but I saw people getting to enjoy it from my balcony and it looked well-kept. I definitely would stay again. Thanks y’all!

  Un hotel cómodo y limpio. Staff muy atentos. Si planeas hacer lavandería, es mejor llegar preparado con los detergentes. Son gratis en el hotel pero me pasó q no había durante mi hospedaje y el staff no hizo ninguna diligencia para facilitarlo, tuve a salir a comprar. Desayuno es de buena calidad pero un tanto desorganizado por falta de personal. En general es un excelente hotel bueno locación. Limpio. Súper cómodo. El area del lobby y piscina muy bien cuidada y acogedora

  The staff was wonderful. The place is quiet. It is close to the freeway access. There is mini golf down the street. The restaurant has one guy doing everything and he was slow to recognize us. He was very busy. He was very nice. The food was served in Styrofoam containers but who cares, the food was amazing. We were really impressed with the food. The place is very clean.   I was here for medical reasons and planned a 10 day stay. Circumstances required an extended stay and I spent over 2 months at this hotel. My service dog is traveling with me as well. Every member of the staff, from the GM to the maintenance staff has been kind and helpful. It is a very pet friendly hotel with plenty of space and nearby parks to walk and play. The food from the restaurant located inside has been very good. It is on the pricey side, and that’s why I rate 3 stars. Overall, my extended stay was pleasant and the ease of working with staff made a difficult time a lot less stressful.

  The turn-on turn-off fixture in the bathtub/shower didn’t work at all, so I couldn’t take a shower or wash my hair the first day of my stay. I went to the front desk and explained. The supervisor offered to either move me to another room or fix the problem and comp the day. Since he seemed sure the problem could be fixed fairly soon, I chose to stay in the room. I met the maintenance person back at the room, and he found a new fixture needed to be installed, which he said would be a quick repair. Which it was. I asked him to work the fixture a few times to make sure I’d have no problems. All of the employees were friendly, courteous, helpful, and wanted to solve the problem. It seemed to me many upgrades were being put into place, but hadn’t yet been completed. Trying times during the pandemic. Bravo for progress so far. The toilet didn’t flush very well, but I didn’t want to bring up anything else at the time. I recommend a thorough inspection by the head maintenance person of every aspect of every room. This takes time, but compiling a list and working it through would give you a 5-star rating!

  We love the IHG properties so, naturally, chose this hotel for our stay in Santa Maria. There is a bar area and a small restaurant. We did not use either but saw people at the bar nightly. The pool area is nice but the gym was closed. The rooms are spacious with a larger kitchenette area--sink, microwave, mini fridge, small Keurig, which is another reason we chose the property. There were so many cabinets in this kitchenette; however, there were no kitchen items for use--no dish soap, no paper towels, no plates, utensils, bowls, cups etc.--so the only point of having this area is if you were bringing in your own kitchen items, which most people do not do when they are staying in a hotel. We definitely had need for these items. The one other challenge was that the shower handle was nearly impossible to use. We had 8 people staying at this hotel and we all had difficulty using the shower, and had to call for support since there were no 'directions' on how to use it.

  The bed and room were clean and comfortable. The shower was difficult to turn on and the water pressure was weak (nothing too out of the ordinary for a hotel). To use shower/bath: Twist up and pull out at the same time. This seems like something the hotel should address with a sign so guests don't feel like idiots while tiredly trying to use the shower. Two out of two nights, my entry card had to be reactivated/reprogrammed as my door lock wouldn't accept it - no matter how many times I swiped. Not a huge deal, just obnoxious to deal with late at night after a long day.

  Stayed 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. We liked that the staff was very accommodating and nice! The room and bathroom were a good size, it was clean and beds were comfortable. We did not like that there was no service elevator, staff and housekeeping carts often kept us waiting for the elevator to and from our floor. The room itself was very generic and lacked warmth. It felt dated with popcorn ceilings and a TV that was way too small.

  The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so yummy and filling. The room was very spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. The only thing that I would complain about was the noisy ac unit, but my husband like the noise as he likes the white noise to fall asleep.

  I came in late and left early so I was not there for very long. But, the room smelled strange...maybe it's old?? I don't know but it was not pleasant. I was tired and able to work through the smell. The walls are very thin, so we could hear every sound, esp on the bottom floor in a corner room near the parking lot and side entrance. I would definitely recommend a different room. I had to sleep with my headphones on. The person at the front desk when we arrived was great and a redeeming quality of this hotel. Free parking is always nice. And the room seemed clean. Overall, seemed overpriced compared to other places I've stayed.

  Our suite was perfect for a family of four. The living room provided a place for our boys to run around in, the kitchen was perfect along with the countertop for eating, and the bathroom was quite large. We pre-purchased breakfast when I booked the room and that was the best decision. Breakfast was amazing both days and kids eat free!! Customer service from the front desk and the dining room was first class!! Would definitely stay here again!!

We booked a King size which the three of us would have fit comfortably in since that is what we have at home. When I inquired about the bed size the manager said that the bed is western king size. We ended up having to be moved a room with 2 beds. Luckily the young man that worked the front desk was helpful because the manager was not. The rooms are very spacious though.

  I stayed in this hotel 4 years ago and had a pleasant experience. Second stay was not the same. This was the first hotel that did not thank me for being a platinum member. Not a big deal but its nice when they acknowledge that. We got to our room and we immediately noticed it was not clean. There was a fake eyelash near one of the lamps. Also underneath the beds were empty plastic bottles. Although there was a mandatory mask policy posted at the front door. Half of the guests I noticed wore one. They walked right up to the front desk. I don’t really expect the staff to enforce this. Even with these negatives I was still able to get a good nights rest so I guess thats what really matters.

  My stay was brief but I felt comfortable. It was an easy and fast check in and check out. The room is very spacious. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that they claim Queen beds when they are Full. I had family members stay that same night and all rooms had full size beds, not Queens. Other than that everything was adequate. Nice balcony to walk out to and catch a little fresh air.

  My little family stayed in one of the queen suite rooms, it was the perfect size for my husband and two younger children. The bedroom had a wall dividing it from the main room, perfect for us and the kids to get a little space at the end of the evening. The bed was comfortable, everything was very clean. We used the pull out couch for the kids and that was also very clean. They supplied all of the kitchenware upon request, and anything we needed, the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be staying here again.

  I haven't traveled since the pandemic began so I had no expectations. Many policies didn't seem to make sense, e.g. kitchnette but no supplies, not even paper towels in the room. We stayed 3 nights, but the hotel told us no maid service and if we needed supplies we had to call down. What they don't mention is trash service which meant we had to empty our own trash daily. With limited eating options and earlier closing hours, we had to bring dinner back to the hotel a couple of times. There is no table other than the desk, but a huge space where a table and 2 chairs would have fit in the room. Santa Maria is in wine country, but when we brought a bottle of wine back to enjoy after tasting we had to ask and wait 30 mins to borrow a wine opener. The room size and cleanliness to start was good, but it was hard to pull out the handle in the tub to turn on the shower and the elevator was broken 2 out of the three days we stayed. Not so bad with no luggage, but 3 flights up and down each day was tiring and annoying. There was no sign on the elevator, we just tried for 10 mins before we went down to tell the front desk. The receptionist was surprised it was broken. Location is good off the 101 and plenty of free parking.

  The hotel offers good amenities at a fair value. Room cleanliness was an issue for me during this stay. One of the beds linens seemed like they were not switched out from last guest. Toiletry items were missing and the sink would not drain appropriately leaving residue. Rooms are large and spacious. No complimentary breakfast or coffee. Hotel has an average restaurant and bar.

  La chambre en elle même est très bien. Par contre la cuisine est inutilisable faute d'équipements: 0 casserole, 0 verres, 3 pauvres fourchettes, bref rien pour cuisiner. Une fois demandé au personnel (très aimable), nous avons pu récupérer des couverts et des verres en papier... Mais toujours pas de casserole.

  Les chambres sont très bien et proximité de l autoroute pour continuer sur SFO ou los angeles très apprécié. Le déjeuner par contre est une cata, la serveuse est débordée

  Jolie chambre a côté de l autoroute. Prévoir du temps pour le petit déjeuner qui n est pas un buffet. Le service est très long.
