  Positive: It has a restaurant inside that¿s very convenient. Negative: The staff is horrible. Overcharged my card multiple times. Got in contact with the hotel but was placed on hold and nobody returned to the phone. Money wasn¿t refunded and didn¿t get any answers from them!

  Positive: Location Negative: Room was not cleaned each day. I inquired at check out and was told we'd have to request service. There were do not disturb signs on doors that imply that they are cleaned each day. I could have gotten the same Service at Days inn and saved money.

  Positive: The staff were friendly Negative: We had to move rooms because the first one was dirty and the second one was just as dirty. DEFINITELY not anything close to a 4.5 star. I¿d say it was a 2 star at best.

  I have been staying at the Delta every other week for work related travel since October and I love it there! I take advantage of being able to order room service from the Winchester often and it is great every time. Crystal makes delicious drinks at the Guitar Bar and the bands that play there are super talented. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly, especially Rachael. She goes out of her way to make sure I have everything I need for my stay. Overtime, she has even learned my preferences like foam pillows and having a microwave. She responds quickly, graciously and with a smile on her face to any requests made by hotel guests. It is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in the area and is very conveniently located.

  I fully understand the impact COVID has had on all of us over the past couple of years, including the hotel business. However reasonable services and staff response to hotel guest still should be fulfilled, especially when personally requested and COVID not used as an excuse when not provided!

  I have stayed here numerous times and plan to continue to stay there. Gracious staff. One big negative which could be resolved: a very loud lobby during the hours the bar is open. There is a bar 20 steps from the registration desk. It has live music and NO doors to buffer the sound. I don’t know how the front desk staff can answer a phone call or register a guest without screaming to be heard. There is no way guests who want to spend time in the lobby for conversation or have a gathering at the restaurant a floor above can do so without loud, loud overflow sound from the bar. This is an issue that could be resolved to accommodate all guests. On another note, parking for guests on the weekend and some evenings is very limited even though the lot is designated overnight guests only.

  Positive: The location was amazing. I walked to the concert I was in town for. Lots around to go check out too. Negative: Parking was an issue. No solution other than to find parking on the street. Also the room when we got there looks like the floors were not cleaned and bed was just fluffed up but someone had sat on the or looked used. There was also still trash in the can

  We were in Ashland for Buddy Guy concert so we were in great mood anyway. The Delta Hotel was beyond our expectations. It’s very impressive, decorated nicely, a guitar and bourbon bar and a restaurant that was beautiful, delicious and affordable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The town is quaint and perfect. Wonderful adventure, would definitely stay there again.

  We stay here whenever we are in the area. The room is always clean and the bed comfortable. Easy check in and checkout. The only drawback is limited parking on the premises. The hotel has implemented parking permit only parking. We will continue to stay here.

  The Delta offers comfort to the traveler in Ashland, Kentucky. The hotel is pleasingly decorated, comfortable and convenient and is a centerpiece for the rebirth of this river city. Interesting eateries and entertainment at the historic Paramount Theater are just steps from the hotel. The Winchester on the second floor of the hotel offers an unapparelled bourbon list, a signature old fashioned and excellent dining options including steaks and fresh seafood. Live music in the first floor bar entertains as you wind down for the evening. With either a street view or a river view, the Delta is an unexpected luxury.

  I stayed at Delta Hotels Ashland Downtown for a two-night, two-day conference. I had a single king-sized-bed room. It was very comfortable and clean, except for a little rust around the corners of the shower slider area. It had a dorm-sized refrigerator, safe, iron, coffee maker, and ice bucket. I was on the eighth floor overlooking the Ohio River and the view was spectacular. I would consider going back just for that. The rooms have windows that run the width of the space and are about 4" tall, so the view is expansive. The general amenities were typical of a mid-sized chain hotel in a small city. I ate one night at The Winchester, the steak and seafood restaurant on site. I'm sorry to say the $26 NY strip steak I had, while cooked as requested, was neither particularly tender or flavorful. It honestly tasted about like a nicely grilled hamburger. For an extra $3 I got about a quarter cup of sliced mushrooms (looked canned) sauteed with some bourbon. It didn't help the meat much. I had been hoping for at least a garlic butter. Nope. It didn't taste like it had even been salted. The accompanying salad and loaded mashed potatoes were fine, but I've had better meals at Texas Roadhouse. It's probably fine for a convenient meal while at the hotel, but I wouldn't go to The Winchester for a fabulous steak. The wait staff was fine, the decor fine. Overall experience: I'd stay in the hotel again, definitely, but I'd go to the nearby bakery for breakfast and one of the other local eateries for other meals.

  We have not been to a Delta property before. It was a good value. Nicely appointed. Restaurant terrific. I wish we had been able to get a room with a sitting area. Watching TV from the bed is not very comfortable.

  Hotel was clean, staff friendly, room very nice. Just what I was looking for. Restaurant food was satisfactory. Bar bill exorbitant. $56 for a double of Blanton's bourbon. $60 for 750 ml bottle in Virginia state run store. If don't want to drink and drive, better not stay at the Delta Downtown or the drink cost will hurt you. Or maybe the cost keeps one from drinking more than one so can drive. Not the best option,

  I have always stayed at other hotels in the Ashland area when I'm there on business. I will choose the Delta from now on. It has a restaurant, Starbucks in the morning, is close to the bridge, and has many other dining options close by. It is clean and the staff is great.

  We stayed at the Delta in Ashland this past weekend. Enjoyed it very much. Food was good, but not exceptional. Apparently a bit short-staffed. Room was clean with everything working as it should. A little bit of mold at edge of shower threshold. Should be easily remedied, so don't understand why it was there. Lobby inviting, good for family meeting. The only downside is inadequate guest parking. Presume that bar and restaurant customers not staying at hotel take all available spaces. I guess it's a good problem to have.

  Hotel was awesome. Very unhappy with my meal at The Winchester. The shrimp and scallop pasta had no hint of scallops and the shrimp was quite undercooked. In addition, the main plate came out well in advance if the salad.

  Thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The amenities were perfect - Starbucks, on-site restaurant, large gym, and river view. The cherry on top was the hydration station right on my floor. That attention to detail made my day. I hope the Delta brand expands into other areas of eastern Kentucky. Quality hotel pickings are slim in the area.

  I often give good & bad reviews for every experience so that others can make better decisions on their choices in life. This is highly recommended for the price.. staff was friendly, food & bar was amazing, parking was great & overall I was just satiwith everything they had to offer.. they even had the sonic pebble ice in the hallway for the guest. Convenient location to everything but the hotel entertained my nightlife.

  After waiting for someone to leave to park I went to my room and got the telltale sign of dying lock batteries. Was given two queen beds (I reserved a king) and both looked laid in after they were made. Toilet had paper in it, ‘heat’ on 60 (it was 50 out), used kcup in coffee maker, no trash bags in the filthy trash cans. Winchester only cooked half my dinner, comped me with free dessert -lava cake with cold and still solid lava. Morning Starbucks from the lobby tasted like cardboard cup and I got wrongfully charged for smoking in the room which was supposedly cleared up but according to my cc hasn’t been.

  The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was great. However, the "perfume" smell in the lobby was overbearing. Made me dizzy every time I walked through. Was surprised there was no microwave in the room. The sliding door between the bathroom and closet is dysfunctional. If someone is showering with the door slid over the bathroom side, the closet door is open with light emitting from it.

  We were in town for Marshall Homecoming and I didn’t make the reservation soon enough to get a room in Huntington. We were pleasantly surprised by the Ashland Delta. Really nice restaurant and bar. Prompt and polite service when the alarm clock in the unoccupied room next door was going off at 5:50 am, which was very much appreciated! Convenient to Marshall and it was actually nice to be able to leave Huntington after the football game.

Their cleanliness is always on point, the staff is friendly and helpful, & the rooms are so nice with the most comfy beds! Not to mention the showers, which are always impeccably clean and fancy.

  The hotel was wonderful. My only complaint is about the Winchester Restaurant. I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes and then disconnected. So, I went in-person to order room service and it took ovwe 15 minutes for a "host/staff member" to even greet me. If the hotel staff could train the restaurant staff, this place would be a gold standard in customer service for Ashland.

  Marriott says it has a "Commitment to Clean," but this is yet another Marriott property that is not honoring that commitment. Entry-way floor and bathroom floor were very dirty. Shelf in bathroom that held the towels was dusty. Floor of the shower was too dirty for me to want to stand on in bare feet. Carpet in bedroom was dirty and there were still crumbs on floor from previous guest(s). Elevator floor was very dirty when I checked in, and when I checked out later the next day, it not only had not been cleaned but there was now food on the floor. Floor outside the elevator on the 10th floor was very dirty. The staff at check-in was very nice, acknowledged my Lifetime Titanium status, and gave me gift cards for breakfast and for market area since their "snack room" was closed. Staff at check-out were occupied with what sounded like personal business. I and another guest had to wait while the staff in the back were obviously having a personal conversation. I finally called the hotel which made the front-desk phone ring, so 2 people came out and only one helped us even though 2 guests were there waiting. Staff did not ask me how my stay was, so I'm glad to have been sent a survey so I can put it in writing.

  Positive: very clean, roomy comfortable room. Checked in on a Friday evening and there was live music in the hotel lounge making for a very inviting atmosphere if I was looking for an evening's entertainment. Negative: I was charged a $50 "deposit" fee when I checked in. I was told it might take up to 10 days for that deposit to be refunded to me. A very slow elevator, not sure if there was an additional elevator but for a multistory hotel only one elevator wasn't suf

  We stayed at the Ashland Delta Marriot Downtown for an Elks convention. Our room was very comfortable and since my wife and I both use CPAP machines for sleep apnea, the extra electrical outlets were appreciated. Also our shower was very spacious and modern. Stop by the Winchester bar for a Bourbon Slushie!! Great bar and waitresses!!

  This hotel was fresh and clean. I was welcomed from check in. The rooms were designed well and the cleaning staff is top notch. The bathrooms were designed with ease and function. Plenty of room to accommodate my needs. My experience was top notch. I will definitely choose to stay at the Delta again!

  This hotel is very nice and newly decorated and remodeled. All areas visited were clean and staff was welcoming. By far, the nicest hotel in the area. Parking is very limited. With approximately 90 parking spaces to accommodate approximately 150 hotel rooms, plus in-hotel dining and bar areas which are open to the public, it was not possible to find parking at the hotel the night we visited. Alternative parking is on public streets, which can also be hard to find depending on time of day and local events.

  Smoking is allowed outside the entrance doors that was annoying. Parking is sparce for tenants and restaurant combined. Restaurant menu makes you feel like it's a high end place but dress code makes it appear as a super casual Restaurant. Food was good. Housekeeping had to be requested due to Covid, towels provided but floors were not swept or mopped and nothing was wiped down. Beds were made.

  We loved the restaurant. Amazing food. We enjoyed ordering drinks to the room. Better quality drinks in the room than the actual bar. Overall stay was fantastic. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Everyone was really nice. The quality of the food in the restaurant was just amazing We will be back just because of the restaurant. The seafood nachos and corn on the cob were my favorite.

  The hotel itself is very nice and clean. Staff was very amenable each time we interacted with them. The food at the onsite restaurant, The Winchester was a great value for the money and very enjoyable. The only downside was the limited parking available to hotel guests. Restaurant guests frequently took up spaces that could be used by hotel guests, which left guests to park in areas that they are not familiar with. No matter who you are, that can be risky at night. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

  I requested a certain room and it was reserved for me only to check in and learn it was given away before my check in. The manager was able to switch my room after the first night but I wasn't able to unpack anything so that she could move my suitcase for me to the new room. I ordered room service only to be forgotten. I called to ask where my dinner was 45 mins later which was only a salad and drink, the manager called back to say I would have my food in 15 mins. It was delivered at 10pm. He did not charge me for the meal. I visited the coffee shop to get a large coffee and a bagel. No large coffee cups, no bagels and no muffins available. The lid to the coffee cup was not on all the way. I did not notice this until I went to put my belongings in my car. As I went to put the cup in the cup holder the lid came off and coffee spilled all over my white seat. I now need to have my car detailed and hope the stain will come off. That night I went to put my drink in the fridge only to open the cabinet to search for the fridge to find a bag full of trash in the cabinet that appeared to be old and crusty like it had been there for 2 weeks. I called the front desk to which the reply was I will leave a note for the morning shift. I had to request someone come and get it right away so the stink was gone out of the room. My left over room service from the night before was never picked up. Its really beautiful inside and I was excited to stay. I really had high hopes and everyone talked this hotel up about how good it was. I was really disappointed. It would probably take a lot for me to come back. Usually I don't complain, but this was just too much.

  Always love my stay at the Delta. Led a meeting with my peer for 35 associates and it was set up on time, the room was conference rooms were great as well as the guest rooms. The only down side is the guest rooms do not have microwaves and most hotels these days do. The conference room also did not include coffee and most rentals also include that as well for the same or less cost.

  While they are billed as a full service hotel, I would expect a hotel without frills. For the price tag, this hotel is an extremely good value. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are nice, but have not been trained at excelling in customer service. It is a welcome addition to the community and I am now able to visit my family more often due to having a suitable place to stay!

  We stayed here for a competition that was across the road at PAC. Great location. Wished we had eaten dinner here, the Winchester, rather than on the road. It looked and smelled amazing. The room was perfect for three. We didn’t see the breakfast menu behind the door until the next morning, but it can be brought directly to your room. We will stay here again.

  The room on the sixth floor was one of the quietest we have ever stayed in while visiting a hotel. The cleaning staff was very good about providing our room needs. There is one negative that really bothered my wife. The thermostat is mounted on the wall beside the bed, at night it emits a bright white light that kept my wife awake a considerable portion of the night. As nothing keeps me from sleep it wasn’t a problem; but I imagine this is for a lot of people.

  I’ve stayed at most of the chain hotels out on Highway 60/180 and they don’t come close to this place. I was super impressed with the renovations and how well I was treated by the staff!! My only disappointment is that when the hotel is booked close to full capacity (which it was on this particular day) parking can be quite limited and you might be forced to park on the street. It’s a small inconvenience for everything else you get though. I love how it’s within walking distance to Starbucks and many other popular downtown shops and restaurants. Overall this hotel gets two thumbs up from me, and I’m looking forward to my next visit at the end of the month!!

  Great views great location. Rooms are nice. Wish the TV had more channel options but that is because we stayed for 2 weeks. Also wished the doors to the rooms did not shut so hard and loud as we could hear others doors slam. The staff were very nice and friendly and kind. Professional.

  Walls are super thin and you can hear everyone like they are in the room with you. It's so bad that when the front desk calls to tell them you can hear that too. Restaurant is amazing and food is always good. Hotel is very very clean and always smells good. Overall the hotel is good.

  Super nice, super modern, recently updated hotel. The bar and restaurant were both great and the fact that there was a Starbucks inside to boot was Awesome! The bed and room all together was new and super nice and clean and we had a great view of the river. The staff was all super nice as well. My only complaint was the parking. The only parking lot for the hotel you HAD to pay valet parking for or you had to park on the street which is def not fun in cold weather. Otherwise was hands down one of the nicest best stays I’ve had in a hotel and great prices to boot!

  We found the hotel very clean and attractive. We did have a few complaints. I requested a down free room during the booking process. We arrived to the hotel late at night and I called the front desk to explain our room featured 4/4 down pillows. I was told the hotel was short on foam pillows but if I were awake for a “good while” they would let me know if they could come up with any. Mind you it was after midnight already. I declined as we weren’t staying up all night for the possibility of receiving a foam pillow. Additionally when booking I requested a river view room in the special requests comment section. Of course when we got to our room it was street front. Not a huge deal but at the same time, this is part of the attraction to the hotel and it just so happened my wife and I were traveling on our anniversary so it would’ve been nice to wake up with some sort of nice scenery such as a view of the river. Again, it was so late and we had already conducted our self inspection of the room, for bed bugs, cleanliness, etc., that by the time I noticed we weren’t on the river side we didn’t bother to complain to the front desk. This should have been noticed during the booking process in the special requests section, otherwise why does such an area exist for booking? I made the front desk aware of these issues during our stay and again at checkout and was offered nothing more than an apology, no rate discount nor compensation of any sort for their lack of attention to detail. Lastly, I did not feel valet a necessary feature of the hotel. Thankfully a parking space was available along the road in front of the hotel. We would consider staying here again but our stay certainly could’ve been better. The appearance of this new hotel is very nice. The location seemed good and well lit. The rooms were nice and the shower was second to none. We only received about 45-50 tv channels not featuring many channels that are fairly common, which was a surprise this day and age. There were options to log in to certain streaming programs such as YouTube, Pandora, and Netflix but still. Breakfast must be purchased. There are many positives at this hotel, including the bathrooms, cleanliness, etc., and it was a delight to find this place along our route but several aspects could have certainly been better.

  You have done an outstanding job of bringing the old Plaza up to a much higher level of comfort and quality. The lobby, check in area ,the bar and second floor are very attractive and comfortable.Your front desk staff were friendly,helpful and professional. I understand you have only been open a short time and it appears you are experiencing a few growing pains. I was told you have an outstanding dinner Menu and do provide a high quality meal service. I must say however that was not the case for the Saturday morning breakfast service. More training and supervision are essential in that area. All in all, we enjoyed the room and were impressed with the new appearance of the properity.
