  A great place to stay in Avon. Very convenient to local eateries and includes a fun bar to enjoy after a long day on the slopes. The staff is incredible! Very accommodating and friendly. I loved every minute of our first trip to Beaver Creek!

  Great hotel with lots of amenities. Easy access to slopes. Comfortable lobby and friendly staff. Booked during spring break so rooms were very expensive per night. Wouldn't have minded if they gave us some perks as Gold members. Only platinum members get special treatment. Maybe an upgrade or a free drink or coffee? As a loyal Marriot/Bonvoy member I was disappointed.

  I’ve been staying here for several years. I won’t be coming back. The level of service is absolutely horrendous. “Due to COVID…” has become this place’s crutch and excuse for providing horrible customer service and experience. Where do I start… 1. Housekeeping every other day while you still bill your standard room rates 2. Elevator button on 2nd floor broken for the duration of our 7 night stay. DOWN button inoperable and we needed to only use UP button and then ride up to get down. Reported this multiple times. No sign or promise to fix. 3. Maya Restaurant had 2 workers. 4. Lobby wait staff short-staffed The list goes on and on. You blame COVID or labor shortages but The Ritz doesn’t have these issues? I have been coming here twice a year for 8 years now. I won’t be returning.

  Some of the personnel were attentive, some were not; Restaurant is not "Gourmet", but the breakfast was fine, the bar was constantly understaffed, but they did tried their best. The ski storage for staying customers was right on the money, very good.

  Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is a well laid out property with an inviting, lively lobby area. Live music in the evenings, several tvs to show live sports, warm fireplace and great bar all in one central area. The gondola to Beaver Creek mountain is so convenient so you don't have to drive, park, etc - just leave from the property! Also helpful ski valet, and connection to Beaver Creek Sports to rent skis! Currently there is a staffing issue, the hotel really needs to hire more staff, pay higher wages, whatever to provide better service and alleviate stress on current staff. They do a great job, but the potential for burnout is high. If you plan to stay, bring patience and warmth for the employees - I was just glad they were there so I could enjoy a vacation in one of my favorite places and they're doing their best! Starbucks on property is great, but they closed at 2pm during the week, so no Starbucks available after skiing. Workout facility was spectacular.

  Beautiful property, very clean, updated hotel. Could use more consistency in staff knowing details of events and opportunities. Biggest issue was need for another shuttle in to BC or every 30min instead of hourly. Very difficult to get families and kids to ski school by 9-915a if hotel is busy and only 12 ppl can fit on the shuttle and the gondola doesn’t start until 9a. Still some rumblings of Covid shortages, but all in all it was a wonderful property with great staff, we would go back!

  Pricey considering the lack of services - no housekeeping showed up for 4 days. Food was terrible. The room was nice, had high cathedral ceiling and floor to ceiling glass windows (it was on the top floor of the hotel). Would have enjoyed it more if we could have gotten someone to show up to empty the garbage.

  Overall it was a nice place. Staff was nice. However the restaurant options and times very limited. Maid service never cleaned our room on day two that was disappointing after a long day on the slopes. Room service for food was very limited and hard to find someone to deliver food to the hotel after hours.

  It doesn't get much easier to get on the mountain from the Westin. Rentals are on site and the gondola from the back door takes you right to the base. Easy peasy. The Mexican restaurant on site is excellent and there's also a Starbucks and a great little shop to pick up some snacks or a dinner for your room. We'll definitely be back.

  This was a nice hotel, but the service was sub par. When we arrived, they told us rooms would be cleaned "every 3rd day", but after 4 days, no one came. We called on the 4th day and they did a shoddy job cleaning the rooms. The room was decent, but there's not enough storage area for skiing. There was one small closet. No drawers. Lastly, be careful about the Valet. They told us it was $45 total to Valet, but they charged us $45 per day

  We booked a Mountain View room and looked at the other side of the building. Went to complain and after waiting in line, was told that most of the true Mountain View rooms were owned and they were fully booked so there was nothing they could do. Ski check out and valet was great. Super easy to get on gondola and get to slopes. Resort was completely overcrowded, No chance of getting a seat in the common area or bar. The restaurant took two hours with a reservation. We finally walked out with no sign of food on the way. Asked for a manager and was told he was busy breaking up a fight at the bar. Since we had no dinner we tried to order “24 hr room service” were told it’s a limited menu which consisted of 4 non appealing items. I ended up eating a 14 dollar piece of cold cake for a 10 pm dinner. Definitely not the peaceful birthday getaway we imagined. The resort has potential as the location and access to the mountain are great but definitely not the atmosphere and service you would expect. If you do decide to give it a try save your money and don’t pay for a Mountain View as you won’t get it and plan on bringing your own food. Pros: Location, ski valet, spa Cons: overcrowded, room views, food options, service

I understand it was a busy weekend but this was sloppy, unkept, staff was agitated except for valet guys and 1 concierge guy. I would not recommend and would never stay again.

  If you have children or a light sleeper, request to stay in a room away from the center of the hotel. The live music will reverberate through the walls like a college frat party during the night. While the music was great, it is not helpful when trying to sleep. The only solution offered by the front desk were ear plugs, and to wait until the musician is finished (which went beyond the advertised time of 9pm). When we initially checked-in at the recommended time of 4pm, our room was not yet available and were moved to a different room. While we were able to change rooms the next day due to unreasonable sound levels coming through the walls and floor our first night, management acted as if we were an inconvenience requesting a new room the following morning. While grateful for the accommodation during an anticipated busy weekend, the attitudes we received were not appreciated, lacking genuine concern and inhospitable. We did not have a room for 5 hours while awaiting the new room to be cleaned as we were told to leave the first room by 11am, but were promised to be notified of the ready room as early as 2–3pm. Management had warned us it was not a guarantee, but we were fortunate to have traveled with someone move into while awaiting the room, so we were flexible. Also, the Eat Well and Sleep Well menu advertised on the website is not available. The in-room dining team had no idea what I was ordering from, and limited to a much smaller menu that is available using a QR code in the room. The valets, in-room dining staff we interacted with during our stay and experience at Maya and Anjali Spa were wonderful, as were the gym facilities and pools. It's unfortunate that our experience the first half of our stay was not as great as we anticipated having experienced other Westins, but improved towards the end of our stay.

  The hotel is awesome with lots of amenities. The staff were superb, very attentive. Our room was great except for the bed. The sheets were rough and we could feel the mattress pad under. The bed also had a dip on each side from being old and worn out.

  We have been there twice 2020 and 2022 with our now 10 year old and 8 year old. Really think it would be hard to find a better family vacation in the US. (We’ve been just about everywhere.) The ski valet and gondola are great for families. Wake up, grab your coat, walk downstairs and the staff does the rest. After skiing, come back, drop your stuff and head to 3 great hot tubs and an AWESOME heated pool. Gym/spa are world class with full weight sets, Peleton bikes and yoga gym. A+

  Our stay was beyond lovely. The room was impeccably clean. The hotel staff kept our room well stocked with towels and toiletries. The fireplace was very cozy, The beds were very comfortable. The shower was hot. The hot chocolate and cookies that greeted us each day when we returned from skiing were delicious. The ski valet service was delightful. The live entertainment was wonderful.   We had the most perfect stay here celebrating our anniversary! The staff was hospitable, the rooms cozy and perfect, and the valet team was professional and efficient. It is in a perfect location near great restaurants and the live music and fireplace in the lobby makes the bar the perfect hang out.   Overall this hotel is an amazing property. The location is great and the proximity to Beaver Creek is phenomenal. The staff at this location was extremely rude and not informed on anything needed to enhance someone’s stay. The hotel was short staffed and everything was hindered. Room service, restaurants and the bar were not a pleasant experience. The service express was the only shining light of our trip. I have been going to this resort for years and honestly would not recommend until someone addresses all of the current issues. My vacation definitely was impacted….

  The Front desk and valet staff were extremely nice and cordial. The staff at Maya and the Bell Boys were atrocious. Maya refusing to do room service unless I come down to the bar??? Eventually I go down and they say ok just order here at the check in which shows me the ordering from the bar was not factual and very inconvenient for me. The Bell Boys we some of the worst I have ever been around. Rude and not willing to help, it seemed like we were bothering them when they were asked about our luggage. I hear one of them literally screaming and arguing with a guest, she was taking her own luggage up because she had been eating forever, similar to us, and the bell boy was like “I can’t even anymore, DO WHATEVER YOU WANT LADY” which I was appalled at and the lady was simply telling him she didn’t know she wasn’t supposed to take it since it was taking so long. At the end of the day the staff needs retraining on customer service especially at a Marriott property which is surprising.

  The hotel was beautiful and full of things we loved beginning with the lovely ice sculptures out front, the heated parking garage, the wonderful front desk and concierge service, room service and food (specifically pancakes and wings), linen, fitness center, etc. The concierge did a wonderful job of scheduling outstanding snowmobile trip with Sage Sports and providing information about the Magic of Vail Light show and ski information in Vail Village. We loved everything about our visit and can't wait to visit again.

  Very friendly and courteous staff. King suite room was equipped with mini kitchen, kitchenwares, soaking tub with separate standing shower and humidifier. Room was clean and spacious. Cookies and hot chocolate in the afternoon was a big hit with the kids after a long day of skiing. Entrance is small and valet cars can be blocked in by new arrivals. Will do self park if I visit again. Nothing special offered as platinum elite member. No enhanced wifi (slow with VPN for work), no lounge, was not offer room upgrade nor late check out. Not a ski in ski out during early season when Riverfront gondola is not open. Shuttle is extremely crammed and unsafe especially during pandemic and masking not enforced.

  From the moment I called to book the reservation, everyone was so patient and polite. We arrived and our room was gorgeous. The view was amazing and the room was basically a studio apartment. The fireplace was the perfect touch. The hot tubs on the river were especially calming. Salt water pool and hot tub so that was awesome. We are at Maya one night and that was great too. It’s always nice to be able to eat great food and just walk to your room when you’re done. Everything was great! Thank you!

  The room could have been a little cleaner. The bed was in need of replacement. I have a bad back, so that was not great. However, beautiful room and location. A couple chairs on the porch would have been fantastic. Bottled water in the mini fridge. Some beers? Expensive rooms, how about a continental breakfast. I just get allot more for my money at other Westin’s I have visited.

  Excellent hotel! The rooms were very nice and clean! We had a King Suite with a kitchen and fireplace which was amazing. The gym is phenomenal and the views were even more breathtaking. We went on the off-season, so it was not crowded. The staff was nice and accommodating. We had breakfast at the Maya and it was good. Before we arrived we received a very thorough email about the hotel and events in the area. That was a huge plus. Trust me they are reading your reviews and taking your feedback to heart. We will be back for sure!

  We came out to Colorado for a weekend of reconnecting and rejuvenating. We enjoyed every minute of our experience the spa was incredible, the fitness facility had everything we could ask for including peloton bikes, the food and drinks were incredible, the staff suggested so many fun things for us to do outside of the resort and really wanted to make sure that we had a good time while we were on vacation. Everyone was very respectful very friendly and the hotel was perfection.

  The property is in the heart of Colorado mountains. The property is beautiful, and the rooms and service top notch. Dog friendly which was very nice. Great yoga each morning or evenings. Workout facility was beautiful as well as the spa. There was so much to do in the area and they provided a guide to the weeks events. A great trip that I wish had lasted longer!

Spa services were really good but cleanliness of men's locker room was a bit lacking, two of three shower stalls went uncleaned for over 2 hours. Service at Sunday brunch was very slow, almost comically slow. Need to tighten up these details to justify the price.

  After 20+ nights at this hotel over the past 3 years we are now looking for a new summer and winter destination. While we were disappointed with the "rare" children's hamburger, the wet sheets and blankets delivered for the pull out sofa and the "Suite Night" upgraded room overlooking the parking lot and next to the employee entrance ( complete w/ a door that slammed all day and night) the service experience was what prompted this review. As I hadn't complained about any of the aforementioned items, the confrontational yet indifferent treatment from the hotel manager during checkout was the perfect bookend to a very poor experience. I did manage to catch up with the GM two days after we left the property "I'll get you next time" was how that shook out.

  The hotel is very nice and offers great amenities, the staff was professional, helpful, and kind. The views from my room and the lobby and pool were excellent. The access to the area was terrific with regular shuttles to Vail and Beaver Creek. The pool, spa, bars, and restaurant were excellent and the staff very good. A big problem was that many of the guests had dogs staying with them! Barking dogs could be heard night and day in the corridors and at times in my room. Getting on an elevator with large dogs is not conducive to relaxation at a resort. Dog guests are not what I expect from a Westin or Marriott Hotel.

  The hotel was beautiful, the food was good and the amenities were good. But the service was bad. The staff would upgrade our room even though I’m platinum status. The complimentary platinum credit didn’t even cover the full buffett so if you wanted eggs you had to pay $20 per person. And the bell man never came to get my families bags after waiting 20 minutes for we all had to carry the bags out to the car our self.

  The Westin Resort and Spa was breath taking, clean, customer service actually exits and was amazing... this hotel actually exceeded out expectations. We have stayed at the Ritz Carlton many times during our vacations and chose to try the Westin this time and we couldn't have been happier!! The Westin in my opinion was a better experience than other 5 star resorts/hotels!! This was an amazing hotel and we will definitely be back!!! Thank you Westin for an amazing experience and stay!!! The one thing we have noticed the last 2 stays was how much the Maya restaurant has gone downhill. The service, quality of food and increased pricing has made us decide we won't be eating there again. It's too bad because we love it before and it's convenient.

  I loved my stay at this beautiful and family friendly hotel that had great amenities that I do not usually see in other hotels. The 1-bedroom suite had a humidifier which was a must for my kid. Apart from the beautiful views and hot pools which were absolutely fantastic, I felt amazed when my 5-year old daughter said “ it feels like home” on our first day at this hotel.   We have stayed at The Westin in Avon several times. The suites with a kitchen and joining rooms is perfect for when we are meeting friends. The kitchen has Everything we need to make a meal, keep drinks cold, etc. The bar and restaurant on site are reasonably priced, food is great, and service is always attentive. The service and bar at the pool make it easy to spend a day resting and restoring. There are several good restaurants within a five minute walk, and the access to the River path makes for an easy, pretty walk to wake up to or close out a lovely day. We never ever regret heading up here, and it would be the perfect home base for some time playing in our amazing mountains.

  Stay away from In Room Dining, our experience was absolutely horrible. Breakfast service was extremely slow and our order was mixed up, bill was incorrect and we had to chase down our check to leave. At the spa, make sure you get the service you requested and verify what they're going to do prior to starting. The bar had great service and food. Maya dinner was delicious and service here was good. This hotel is very inconsistent. Service is either good or very, very bad. I had called the front desk a few times and got the "I can't help you, you'll have to call back later" very often. Oh, and when we checked out and requested that our in room dining charge be removed, they did it - but oddly enough, no one asked what was wrong or apologized or even cared that we had a bad experience. And, no one even said, "how was your stay". I would NOT stay here again and would recommend you select another resort in this area.

  The staff was super friendly from the valet guys, to check-in. We really liked the size of the One Bedroom Suite with the cozy fireplace, large bathroom and kitchen. The pool is huge, 3 hot tubs and large workout room give you other things to do if the snow is not good or too snowy. We will definitely come back in the summer. They have lots of activities planned!

  Service at the westin is abysmal. There are much better places to stay in Beaver Creek for the same price- like the Osprey. The pool is a mad house. It is shared with a public gym and all of the surrounding residences. There are beer cans everywhere and kids everywhere and no sign of staff ever. Expect to open the lobby doors yourself while struggling with skis and luggage, any call to “service express” requires a 10 minute wait on hold- even just to get toilet paper. The courtesy vehicles exist only in the hotel’s imagination. They are never actually available. And the shuttle van to the mountain is a tiny 12 person van with no open windows that is packed with standing room only. Its a Covid panic attack. This hotel is just awful at customer service and you will be disappointed.

  We had a wonderful time at the Westin. Great location with gondola to the ski lift making it very convenient to get to Beaver Creek Village. Pools and hot tubs are so relaxing and well maintained. Starbucks in the building is a big plus and the room service meals were very good.

  As I said above it was fantastic besides a couple of small issues. We were very underwhelmed with our expensive and not very tasty breakfast. Also we wish the music on Saturday would have played past 6:30pm! The band was amazing and everyone wanted more. It just made everyone leave the lounge and then no music was even played on the speakers for probably an hour or so. That part was disappointing. We left and went to listen to music at the Ritz and spend our money in drinks there instead. Friendly staff and amazing pedicure at the spa! Loved the room and the ski storage and the gondola!

  My husband and I travel all over skiing and not only is Beaver Creek one of our favorite destinations, but The Westin is hands down one of the best hotels we have stayed at for a ski trip. It is truly ski in and ski out with the ski valet and Town Gondola right outside the door of the hotel. The rooms are also so comfortable, nice, and functional. The staff was also so friendly and helpful anytime we needed something. We will most certainly be back!!!!

  The Westin Riverfront is a great property in the Eagle Valley area. The location provides easy access to the entire Beaver Creek resort. The staff was professional and courteous. It was surprising to see how many people were staying at the property. The only downside of the stay, 3 nights, were the guests. Since it was spring break there were a large amount of teenagers and young adults who acted as they owned the place. It made physical distancing, for COVID safety, an impossibility. The hotel staff did their best to provide great service and maintain healthy conditions. My family will plan more trips to the Westin Riverfront in the future.

  We did a family ski vacation with our two kids. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we felt safe at every turn of our stay. The gondola, fitness facilities, pool, restaurants, bars, etc. all were run with social distancing guidelines. The hotel is beautiful, well kept, clean, and an amazing experience with the gondola and ski valet. Highly recommend this hotel!

  We’ve stayed in the Avon, CO area many times for ski vacations. This was our first time staying at the Westin. The location is great. We particularly enjoyed having direct gondola access to Beaver Creek resort. The ski & boot valet and fitness center are awesome. Our only complaints are with cleanliness and unsecured WiFi access. The suite was covered in dog hair - on the floors and upholstery. We were constantly picking hairs off of our clothes and socks. After the first night, I received over 400 spam emails from websites around the world that I had suddenly been subscribed to. I’m not sure if this was a coincidence, but I have never had this happen before. I’m still receiving spam emails a week later. Had the suite been cleaner, this could have been a perfect place to stay. Also, considering the cost of the rooms and the added resort fees, I think the parking fees are excessive. I’ve never had to pay parking fees at other properties in Avon.

  We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The room was clean and updated as well as the hotel. Aron the shuttle driver was so helpful and thoughtful to us during our stay. Clint helped us find our way to the river walk and was super nice as well. The spa showers are the best my husband and I have every experience, would recommend putting those in the room!

  All of the staff members were great, especially the valet parking and the ski valet guys. They were fast, friendly and helpful. Our room was small but nice. It was great to have a kitchenette, and it was well stocked, but the sink was was way too small. The hot tubs were great. The pool was too cold. It was nice having a gondola right on site to take you to Beaver Creek. I wish they didn't have so many add-on fees - $35/day resort fee, $35/day parking fee, $150 pet fee - but at least they are up front about the fees. The lobby was nice and the food was good. I really wish the hotel had internal staircases - they only have fire stairs that lead outside. With COVID rules, it can take a long time to get on an elevator. When you're room is only on the 2nd or 3rd floor, it would be so much faster and healthier if you could just take the stairs.

  Great four day stay. The resort has great facilities, including three outdoor hot tubs with enough spacing to allow for social distancing. The platinum breakfast is well executed. However, other than breakfast elite recognition is limited. As a lifetime platinum I received no upgrade, not even the same room type with a better view. Service was excellent throughout the stay with the exception of check in at 11pm, which seemed unprepared for arrivals at that hour.

  The Westin River in Beaver Creek was wonderful. Outstanding service and great location. The gondola takes you right to skiing, or you can take a shuttle if you want to go to the main ski area. My family (wife and three little girls) will be back. My only negative feedback was I think they would benefit from another restaurant. We loved Maya, but we would have liked more options.

  We will definitely stay here again! Very impressed. The smell is very inviting the moment you enter the hotel. The staff is friendly and informative. The Hotel is so convenient for skiing. The service is impeccable! The lobby with the fireplace and live music is very inviting. We went to the spa snd Anne was wonderful! The 3 hot tubs are very spacious and the swimming pool, huge! They give you a s’mores kit upon check in to use at one of the many fire pits. The Starbucks is very convenient for in the morning. We loved the service and the hotel!

  The hotel is in a good location and the property itself is very nice. Ski rentals are convenient. However, service levels from front desk to concierge to shuttle buses are average at best (even for Bonvoy elite customers). Also, be careful to ensure you get the room you intended to book.

  The hotel is gorgeous, clean, and classy. We loved the layout of the lounge, and bar areas, and the spa, pools, and locker rooms on the first floor. The infinity hot tubs offer relaxation and beautiful views. The valet/bell service is fantastic. They load your luggage and bring it to your room. The food provided for our company holiday party was delicious, the bar service was great. The room was very nice, clean and beautifully decorated. ****Note: Would be more apt to stay again if we could ski Beaver Creek. We have season passes elsewhere so it's tough to pay $159 a day for lift tickets when we can ski free at other resorts. Discount lift tickets??

  Our family of five enjoyed a four night stay at this location. Be advised that it is an independently owned facility, and similar to our experience at other independent Westins, don't expect recognition or upgrade for your SPG status. Things we loved: the ease of getting to the slopes. Excellent, helpful and friendly staff at the ski equipment valet and car valet areas. Tabby at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful when one of our travelers became ill. Things we didn't love: I have never seen so many dogs at an upscale hotel, so if you aren't into dogs, be aware. Dogs with their paws up on the check in counter, dogs on the floor and in the laps of other guests in the lobby where food was being served, dogs in elevators. There are only about 10 rooms that do not allow dogs, so if you want one and dont want to have to wonder if the carpet and bedding was fully cleaned after a dog stayed in a room, book way ahead and ask for a pet free room. We were also billed for every little thing, including $35 per night for a roll away bed, $30 for parking per night and the $39 resort fee. Even using points to stay here, be prepared to be billed for about $100 per night. Very annoying. Still, we loved the facilities and the location.

  I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. We booked late and came for a skiing experience for spring break. I had a beautiful 1 bedroom suite facing the river and mountain. The staff were professional, accommodating and would have immediate responses on any of my queries. I loved all of the amenities, I took a yoga class everyday after skiing, it was an exceptional class and the whole gym/spa facility was fantastic. The hotel was lively after skiing and there is something to do for people if all ages. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitly come back for a spa/summer experience in the summer.
