  A decent hotel & I would say the price you pay is about right. Breakfast was good & the location was ok. It’s a little confusing accessing the hotel the first time as it’s in a tricky to get to location. There was only one elevator to access all floors so there is a bit of waiting around for that. Beds were comfortable but there was a bit of outside noise throughout the night, (cars,garbage trucks etc). A/C was a little loud but the room overall was quite comfortable. Not a premium hotel but comfortable enough for a few nights stay.

  Great service and staff, I stay there quite often due to business and I have never had a bad experience here, yhe only draw beck is the homeless population of cleanness of the neighborhood and that's not the hotel problem.

  Driving into LA is always stressful but all that stress literally melts away as soon as I step into the lobby & being greeted by a smiling face! Staff are absolutely wonderful, from the front desk to the hotel crew.

  We stayed at this Santa Monica location in order to visit our daughter and take a cruise. Price was just right, room was comfortable, and the break fast was better than any pre-cruise hotel I've stayed at. Pancakes, yay! And a spacious dining area, which was greatly appreciated for Covid reasons.

  I didn't know exactly what time I would be arriving at the hotel so I called ahead and they were able to notate on my profile that I would possibly arriving late. When I arrived, the night audit staff answered all my questions and was very kind. In the morning when I checked out, the front desk was sweet and quick with my check out. Everything was done in a timely manner.

  Thank you Holiday Inn for my recent stay in LA, I was currently traveling for business and need a night to travel. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and cozy. The hotel staff and maintenance team made me feel at home, with my few request, the staff address all my needs in a timely manner.   This hotel location is convenient but entrance is not that easy to find. The room is clean, but not big for family of 4. Especially after you put luggage, the walking space is even tinnier. The bath room is clean and bright. We all like it. The breakfast is good enough, dinning room is a little small, but comfortable. So overall 4/5.

  Extreme friendly staff and good service. Good breakfast and everything extremely clean. Good location but that is also the problem. Next to highway and hard to sleep at night. Hotel needs double glassed windows in order to reduce the noise. So; do not come here for relaxation.

  Location is on Santa Monica Blvd, just off the 405 Fwy. There are many dining options within walking distance. Underground parking is very convenient. Rooms are spacious and well outfitted with Korig coffee maker, mini-fridge, and digital safe large enough to hold your laptop. Breakfast has a lot of variety with typical breakfast fare and something to grad on the go.

  This was another good say at this location. It was convenient and close to UCLA, where I had business. I wish that they had a full service kitchen for late light meals and snacks to eat on. That would have been great

  Positive: The staff at Hotel was excellent specially at main desk. Negative: I asked for the fresh towels which was not kept and I found out when I went to the hotel at 11.30PM. Next day housekeeping staff did not clean the room properly as toilet seat was left with some marks / spots along with the tv desk with some food left on

  This was a very convenient location for us as it is halfway between the family we visited family in both the Pico/Robertson area and Santa Monica. Unfortunately, there wasn't much for me, a low carb vegetarian, for breakfast. The yogurt was not low sugar.

  I stayed here for two nights. The check in was incredibly easy and the front desk provided us with water bottles for our stay (in the summer). The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was well lit and clean. Breakfast had tons of options too. We had a great stay!

  Ive been a member with ihg for many years. This by far has been the worse experience. We were booked for 7 nights. Upon arrival we noticed hotel was off a highway with a boarded up gas station across the street. Hotel was surrounded by homeless people so much so that hotel doors were locked and staff only unlocked to let guests in. We felt very uncomfortable and uneasy. One elevator for entire hotel. Hotel was smelly with low ceilings. Needless to say we checked out first thing in the morning. One terrible night stay was expensive and overpriced . We rebooked with AC at a better price, better hotel, better value. Sadly Holiday Inn has lost out loyalty.

  I cannot begin this review without mentioning Mya and Andy. These two welcomed me in the hotel with big smiles and a first impression is everything! Andy assisted me in that I had to change my room accommodations at check-in and there were no problems. Mya made my daughter feel extra welcome as well. throughout my stay I ran into them both and they were very pleasant. This location also uses a text messaging service which I thought to be amazing. I originally thought it was automated, but it's not. The room was very spacious, clean, and had everything we need. The bathroom was bright, clean, and just the right amount of towels. I love the room service system which prevents people from coming in and out of your room. You get to "order" room cleaning. The breakfast options were different everyday. If you don't like one thing, they'll have plenty others for you to choose from. Andy worked in this area too and was very welcoming to each and every guest! Overall, I'd stay here simply because of the customer service... it was outstanding and I really felt like a proud IHG member. Even when I asked for an extended checkout, again not a problem. If I had one recommendation, it would be to have a shuttle service from the airport. It could be a long shot, but hey you can always make great greater.

  Hotel was in a great location (walking distance to Sawtelle restaurants). Checkin was quick and easy. My room was comfortable and clean, with good amenities. The hotel provided free and good breakfast - with a lot of varieties (hot and cold foods). I like the rooftop deck. Convenient parking.

  Depuis notre arrivée, le personnel a été très à notre écoute, ils nous ont beaucoup aidé avec un problème que nous avions à l'agence et leur attention était d'or. Ils m'ont donné, à moi et à ma famille, les meilleurs conseils pour déménager, ils nous ont toujours accueillis avec le sourire et leurs gérants sont des gens attentifs et très chaleureux. L'endroit est très propre, et les chambres sont assez spacieuses et confortables, sans oublier que le petit déjeuner qui est inclus est largement suffisant pour bien démarrer la journée. Si je retourne à Santa Monica, j'espère revoir ces travailleurs et profiter à nouveau de mon voyage, je le recommanderai toujours.

  Will definitely be back!! Great service, bedding, location and amenities. I loved that they have complimentary hot water, apple cider and hot chocolate in the lobby during holidays. COVID compliant hotel! They have several hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the property, which made me feel very safe. Elevator wait was not very long. Also, they have stairs if you prefer to take the stairs. I saved a lot of money on food because of the in room microwave and fridge

  Staffs are friendly and check in and out is so quick. Breakfast is good, usual stuffs, eggs, sausages or bacon, self serve pancake machine…. Etc. they kept the place clean. I request led to stay on 2nd floor, I like to be close to the breakfast serving area. Pro: close to breakfast area, quick walk to ground floor. 10 mins walk to Sawtelle area, great restaurants there, 20 mins Uber ride to airport. Con: street is noisy on 2nd floor, but I don’t mind it, breakfast serving time can be noisy too. Is my 2nd stay, will stay again.

  The room was nice. The breakfast was great. Just needed to know about not having beds made or trash emptied or even temperature control not being able to adjust. Also on your front door and says mask required but 3/4 of the guests were wearing no mask lack of enforcement.

  Nice comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast was good though if you try to sleep in it can be impossible because the breakfast room is right there in the middle of all the rooms and people are not quiet at all. The safe did not work. I asked for it to be checked and I was told they had to wait for the manager who would be in later that day. The safe was never fixed during my stay. Otherwise a very nice clean hotel.

  Clean, friendly staff, safe parking, central location. Normal hotel breakfast options but at this price range can’t expect better and more options. I would preferred that the parking was free but at least it was cheaper than other hotels. Noise from street can be heard from the hotel room but window blocks a lot of the noise. It didn’t bother me from sleeping but someone who is a light sleeper could have difficulties. I would come back here.

  My son (19) and I were attending an early function at the UCLA campus the following morning and needed something nearby that wasn't ridiculously expensive and felt safe. The area isn't perfect but the hotel was clean, safe, had comfortable beds and a pretty decent breakfast.

  Le seul avantage de l'hôtel est sa propreté. Tout le reste est dégoûtant (vous ne vous attendez pas à cela de la part du réseau mondial). La communication du personnel n'était pas amicale, l'une des deux clés de la chambre ne fonctionnait pas. 20$ par jour pour le stationnement, c'est trop. Le petit déjeuner est dégoûtant. La salle est étouffante. Il n'y a pas de sèche-serviettes, la serviette est restée humide le matin. L'entrée de la route est facile à manquer.

  I would normally rate this stay a 9 or 10, for the most part everything was good. But when I went to check out, my fiancee noticed something crawling on the bed and upon closer inspection, we saw a bug of some sort and I after looking it up, knew it was a bed bug. My fiancee has sensitive skin and she had really bad bites all over her arms and legs, to the point where her foot was swollen. We thought maybe it was a mosquito that happened to get into our room or from when we went out to eat. But now I realize it was due to bed bugs. I took a video and showed the receptionist when checking out. I showed proof that it was at the Holiday Inn Express West Los Angeles-Santa Monica because I recorded the telephone that showed the address as well. She apologized profusely, which I appreciate, and said that she'd have maintenance/management reach out to me later on. Its been several days now and no one has contacted me yet. Pretty disappointed, so I can't recommend this hotel.

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and shades darkened the room well. There is a lot of street noise right outside the windows, but that was something to just accept. (Trash trucks at 6am in back lot was too early). Santa Monica Blvd is a very noisy street. The bathroom was very clean and the soap/shampoo dispensers were very nice. The parking lot had very spacious sections to park vehicle.

  Nice place to stay and close to everything in Santa Monica. The hotel was clean, except for the ants in the bathroom. The elevator is a bit slow but never had to wait more than a few minutes for it to arrive on our floor. Beds were comfy and room was well kept. A little noisy since right by the 405 freeway and on a busy street but it didn't keep us awake. Would stay again if in the area.

  This hotel is very nice. The rooms and bathroom are very roomy and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff is friendly and courteous. It is right next to Highway 405 and our room was facing Santa Monica Blvd, but you didn’t hear any outside noise with the a/c blowing. If I ever come back to LA, I will definitely stay here.

  This Holiday Inn Express is a great value! The updated rooms are clean and spacious. The security is confidence inspiring. Staff, parking and room key access for specific floors, really good. Public transportation directly across the street, easy access to the beach and Santa Monica Pier. We will book again.

  We were pleasantly surprised to find this small 4-story hotel on a very busy intersection to be a clean, comfortable and safe stay. It was pretty new with many amenities, very clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was better than most hotels during Covid restrictions. We didn't think it would be a walkable area but were really happy to be able to walk to the popular Sawtelle Japantown just down the street and a short Uber ride to Santa Monica and the Pier. Only downside is the constant traffic noise and emergency vehicles, but that is to be expected in L.A. and the windows did a pretty good job of sound proofing.

  The proximity to the beach and highways is perfect. The restrooms are big and the lighting is amazing. There is only one elevator and it’s super slow. It’s faster to take the stairs. They don’t have a pool, so if you want to go swimming but can’t get in the ocean if it’s too cold you don’t have another option. On a corner right off the highway so you hear all the cars, ambulances etc., pass by. Sheets had crayon markings and pxxxx hairs, had to call and get new ones.

  The service personnel at check-in were very friendly and co-operative. They introduced themselves which I found accommodating and useful. Phone service and wireless service was excellent. Elevator health and security safety was exceptional. The hotel was at a great location to get on to major roadways in either direction. The hotel location of being within a few minutes of a major university and a major national health system at UCLA was ideal for getting to medical appointments etc. The Westwood UCLA Campus is ideal for walking around and finding top quality take out and dine in food options in this pandemic time.

  The staff at this location continually went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great stay - starting from check-in and even after check-out, they made me feel safe, welcome, and like family. I was blown away by their customer service and attention to detail, and highly recommend their 'sleep easy' kits with the eye masks, ear plugs, and white noise machines, especially given the spillover sounds from the highway. However, this means that your drive to anywhere is simple, as the freeway entrance ramps are super close to the hotel.

  Reserved with points for extended weekend getaway for my daughter’s 19th birthday. Upon arrival front desk agent said my reservation had been canceled and that there was no rooms. Then she found 1 room, but had 1 double bed. I was traveling with 2 of my daughters so needed a double. I asked for a manager because I was so mad that my reservation had been canceled accidentally especially when I call from Houston airport to confirm reservation. When I asked for manager Marigold came to save the day! She found a double room for us. Also on my daughter’s birthday there’s was a small gift outside our room for my daughter with a sweet note from Marigold! She’s truly amazing!!!

  It’s noisy facing the freeway, but that was the least of our concerns. Staff had an issue giving us extra towels. 4 girls in 1 room need more towels especially when we went to the beach and needed to shower when we returned. The staff that brought towels to our door was very rude. I understand that they can not come in due to covid measures, but not having the room cleaned in between was annoying. Having to put your trash in hallway and towels so they can replace and you have to wait, was time consuming. I think the breakfast options can be upgraded.

  The service, location, and cleanliness were all top notch. Ample underground parking was appreciated during the winter rain. The only downsides were noisy neighboring guests (rooms above and the lobby, people/teens running around at 12:30 am outside in the halls) and the food options during covid are mostly microwave biscuits and muffins. I cannot wait for COVID to end and real food service to return. The hotel also has only a single elevator for all floors, but stairs are nearby.

  Yes, it’s a loud location but convenient for a quick stay when you have appointments in the area. Room is small but comfortable. Handy to have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in room. Staff is very accommodating and quick to respond to requests. Grab and go breakfast is limited but understandable for safety of guests and staff. Nice to have a little something without having to go out.

  Hotel and room seemed very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a 711 right across the street which was very convinient for us arriving late. As for the breakfast its grab and go but they had a pretty decent selection for being in the middle of a pandemic. The kitchen staff will grab the choices you ask for and put them in a to go bag for you. You can express checkout and leave your key in the key drop box. Overall a good experience and my family and I would stay there again.

  Great location. Hotel does not jump out at you. I think it has to blend in with immediate surroundings. The hotel looks like it was recently renovated. Very clean. Staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was better than average. Rooms were nice and clean. Maybe a little small but probably average for the area. The location is the best. It's within walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Easy drive to beach and other tourist attractions. Parking was adequate but be careful going in and out of the parking garage, the hotel is right next to an onramp for one of the busiest highways in the nation.

  For starters, I booked my room a less than a week to my check in date and still got a great deal on my room. Getting to the hotel was a little confusing, on top of LA traffic the entrance to the parking lot is really easy to miss. Once we checked in everything smoothed out from their. Staff was friendly and check in was quick. The room was really nice and clean, also the beds were comfy. The bathroom was updated and there was plenty of outlets to charge our electronics. Overall the room was great and I slept really well. The breakfast selection was great, although I do think the pancakes could be better. Check out was quick and easy, I would definitely come back again. The hotel is down the street from Japantown which is great for dinner options (ramen, sushi, and desserts). We ended up hanging out in the area and had a great time.

  I couldn't have asked for a better stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were modern, bright and squeaky clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The room had a good sized fridge and a microwave, and a modern coffee machine with lots of choices. The hotel was just a short distance from UCLA (about 2 miles) and easily accessible. The lobby was inviting. The 4th floor patio was great for sitting quietly in the sun.

  Très belle accueil. La chambre est spacieuse et propre elle possède tous les objets nécessaires pour dormir. Le petit déjeuné est copieux et varié. Et il possède un parking gratuit.

  Our stay was very pleasant. We got there early, and the front desk was very accommodable and allowed us to check in to our room then. We needed to print something, and the computers and printer in the lobby were free and easy to use. The room was very spacious which was good since there were 4 of us in the room, but I never felt on top of anyone. There was also a bathroom in the hallway which was really convenient. Breakfast was a typical hotel continental breakfast- oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, etc. The location was right off the highway so it was really easy to get to the beach, UCLA, downtown LA, and Hollywood and no uber was too expensive.
