  In downtown Shanghai Ruijin is like a second home to me and my family. With plenty of food choices and transportation availability, Ruijin is really a great family trip destination. I particularly like the fact that I can leave my kid in the yard where he can run and play without worrying he may get bored. Although during the holiday it may be a bit crowded but the experience wasn't impacted much. Thanks to all the staff.

  It was a very satisfying stay. Both hotel rooms and executive lounges are recommended.It's nice to have a good holiday here. Intercontinental Ruijin is also my first choice in Shanghai.

  Our general impression of the property and quality of the room were excellent. It was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we could not access any of the amenities, to no fault of the hotel as it was due to local COVID regulations. However, we were particularly unhappy by the quality of the food. The 30-minute room service was 98RMB per menu item but the food to not meet the quality standard. Especially the salad which only had 3 pieces of shrimp, under-ripened avocado, and was generally tasteless. Breakfast was the most disappointing. We had put our breakfast choices at 1:30am which was 1.5 hours before the requested submission time of 3:00am. However, when we woke up, there was no breakfast to be found. It turned out that breakfast needed to be submitted at 10:00pm the night before, which was not clear to us at all. We called to complain, and lucky enough, they brought us our breakfast, but there were many things missing. There was no bread, we ordered hot chocolate but they brought some strange, sweet coffee instead. Overall, the hotel is nice at face value, but compared to, for example Crown Plaza, wasn't even close to that quality of service. The best part was at checkout, that when when I had complained about the breakfast, the hotel did not offer any form of refund for the food. Instead, they asked if we'd book again, and that they would give us an additional upgrade. It was very discouraging and made me feel like I would never like to return, being asked for even more money for a potential sub-par experience.

  The hotel is absolutely fabulous! Luxurious rooms and spacious gardens, gourmet food, nice staff, prime location in the old French concession district -- what more can one ask for :) Special thanks to Harris and Chris from the Front Office, who took great care of my stay throughout. I have stayed at IC Ruijin many times and highly recommend it to all my friends and colleagues!

  Excellent hotel in beautiful settings. Very quite and very easy to go to great locations in Shanghai. Great Restaraunts, bars and culture all close within walking distance. Great to just "get lost" and wander around the area's streets. We highly recommend.

  This is the second time I've stayed at Intercontinental Ruijin. The room and the general area are maintained very well, with a clear attention to detail and quality. The location inside the compound always makes for a good quiet escape from an otherwise bustling metropolis. Kudos to the attentive staff too.

  We had a week in the club suite which was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and the club food and drink was really good. The location is inside the French Concession area of Shanghai, close to cultural attractions, several metro lines and local and international style restaurants and bars. We have recommended this excellent hotel To our friends.

  拥有百年历史的瑞金宾馆，蒋宋在此订婚、陈毅元帅办公用地，一砖一瓦间仍能看到旧日风采。 13年挂牌瑞金洲际，是难得的富有历史感的花园别墅式酒店。 来上海一直住隔壁 人民广场外滩附近。这次来上海决定体验下洲际。第一天隔壁，第二天佘山洲际体验不错，瑞金洲际一直没有机会去体验，这次有几天空余时间，临时决定一定要体验下，晚上7点到酒店，前台已经升级到行政房，住着挺舒服，安静.硬件保养还可以。早餐人不是太多很安静.如果有来的计划，最好备注“带阳台的行政房”或者“开放式行政房”，或者行政套房.体验会上一个台阶。

  The hotel occupies a prime location in the middle of the former French concession area, where classic elegance meets modern chic. Unlike most steel-and-glass hotels, IC Ruijin consists of iconic villas spread over acres of beautiful greens. The rooms are luxurious, well maintained, and exquisite clean. It's a one-of-a-kind urban oasis. In addition to top hardware, the hotel boasts extremely professional and courteous staff. I traveled with a big family, including both elders and a little baby. Despite near full occupancy rate, hotel staff worked wonders to meet our diverse needs. Special thanks to Duty Manager Harris and Club Manager Hailey, who took expert care of all aspects of our stay. IC Ruijin is a gem in the IHG portfolio and I highly recommend it to all my friends and colleagues. I look forward to more stays with them for years to come and will direct corporate business their way wherever suitable.

  Historical buildings, beautiful garden, but get prepared to wake up by walk in tourists and the staff were not friendly and professionally trained. The worst is to be mindful of many tourists walking and smoking around, and outsider cars driving into the compound without speed limit. May be this place is good as a tourist spot, but not recommended to stay. This hotel is not even up to four star standard quality. For IHG group of hotels in China, Beijing Regent

  The Intercontinental Ruijin is our "go to" hotel when we are staying locally in Shanghai. Since we are expat residents in Shanghai, we have been able to check out many hotels when we stay local and we always return to the Ruijin. The beauty of the grounds, coupled with the attention to service and friendliness of the club level staff, make this our number one favorite hotel in Puxi. This was our second consecutive Chinese New Year stay and we were able to compare to last year's stay. We are grateful for the service which was excellent for us and had no special needs since everything was taken care of for us. It shows that the managing staff are staying on top of their game.   这次住宿是疫情期间孩子在家呆不住，选择了有大草坪有古典美的瑞金洲际酒店。无数次路过，这次打卡成功。 入住头一天值班经理Harris就和我联系，并考虑大使会员升级房型。 第二天入住登记时，考虑到小朋友游泳，天气冷还是选择贵宾楼行政套房并且包含行政待遇。全程Harris非常耐心讲解价格差异并申请了优惠价格。 贵宾楼行政套房视野非常好，有树有河，下午暖暖太阳下非常惬意。 虽然是老房子，房间设施配置非常好也保养不错。最后浴缸下水有点问题没有把水放掉。 再说一下泳池，虽然不大但是天花板顶非常梦幻，只是管理员一直不断的唠叨，不能到深水区，那边有一米九，小朋友会游泳家长看着也一直提醒；疫情期间开着通户外的门，发现小朋友有点打喷嚏，担心着凉就让孩子在泳池边淋浴房冲着热水，我去拿浴袍给他裹上回房间，管理员就大呼那里不是厕所，上厕所到里面厕所。真心觉得超级被嫌弃。 行政酒廊一直得到ANABEL的帮助，非常热心对小朋友也很nice。早餐和下午茶都非常好吃，特别是早餐，点单上得快，味道也非常棒，红茶非常讲究的没有用袋泡而是茶叶，茶具精致。非常值得

  好几个月没有住IHG了，这次特意选一家洲际体验一下，连续住了两天，失望。酒店设施太旧了，房间桌子下方的插座，电脑插头费了九牛二虎之力勉强插进去，第二天干脆不插了。wifi老掉线，中餐厅前的走廊漏风的，在这种寒冷天气之下有种冰冷的感觉，很难想象洲际酒店内部给人这种体验。早餐连续两天也是试了一下坚果，确实都是变质的。仅仅是中餐馆一碗黄鱼面留下一点好印象，但里面推荐的鸡肉不行的。

  Dererste Eindruck vom Hotel ist sehr gut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist hervorragend für Spaziergänge durch die altstadt. Hotel ist sehr schönes historisches Gebäude mit schönem großen Garten. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel mit kleinem Balkon. Aber ich fande die Betten sind zu weich, das möbilar teilweise veraltet und die Mülleinmer auf den Zimmern waren etwas keimig. Trotzdem würd ich das Hote weiterempfehlen

  The property would be so nice if it were well-maintained, but sadly it lacks refinement in many ways. For example, you can always see supplies and props littered around at some corner. And the biggest problem I experienced was that it was crowded beyond my belief because the hotel decided to host 4 weddings on that day (!!) according to a staff member I talked to. As a result, every street inside the complex was occupied by parked cars, and I could not walk for a minute without hearing a honk from car behind signaling me to make way. Also, there were so many people in the garden that I felt uncomfortable being on my balcony. Definitely NOT the nice secluded green space I was hoping for! Most importantly, I'm sorry to say that the service here is the worst I've ever had at any "luxury" hotel. When I arrived, no body acknowledged my presence - no greeting, no one helped with luggage. In general, all the staff members would pretend as if they didn't see me whenever I ran into them. Some would look at their phone and some would turn their head in the other direction. How about just saying Hi, or even just nod? I think it's fair to say that the service is absolutely subpar for a hotel of its self-proclaimed caliber. As a comparatively minor disappointment, it wasn't advertised in advance that the executive lounge was closed which was a benefit that I was counting on.

  My wife and I have returned to the Intercontinental Shanghai Ruijin for another weekend get away from across the river. I booked the a stay at the Club Intercontinental which has just recently been reopened. The club rooms are beautiful, clean and well maintained. The Club building is separate from the main hotel. For us, its exclusivity and service is what attracts us to stay here. While the club lounge is still closed, the amenities have been modified to accommodate the guest. They still have the happy hour, it's just that it is being served in the La Rue restaurant in the main building. Instead of the standard appetizers, this has been replaced by a set menu. Now I wasn't sure how this would be- but it turned out to be excellent. The chef has prepared a variety of dishes for the set menu and my wife and I felt that the choices were good and the food was excellent. Our server, May paid special attention to us and served us both nights- always helpful and has a great memory.She went well beyond standard service by getting us extra xiao long bao - a Shanghainese standard. Kim, the managing director, greeted us and went out of his way to accommodate a request that he surely didn't have to - thank you Kim. On the food and beverage side, the hard workers, Pascal and Cai, were also attentive during our breakfast time. The buffet has many selections and no one should come away disappointed. Well done La Rue restaurant. We hope to see you again in the near future. Show less

  The location is perfect if you love heritage European buildings. This hotel itself is one compound made up of these historical assets, the grounds are huge and covered with maple tress, rendering autumn colours everywhere and hence splendid for photo taking in November and December. It is also within or close to the beautiful former French Concession area whereby residences of Sun Yat Sen and Zhou En Lai and Tian Zi Fan Shopping are just a short walking distances. I just wonder if the grounds are open to the public as there are a few gates and many people from outside seemed to stroll in for photo-taking. The interior within the Club Lounge is beautifully astounding! Certainly the staff is very professional and speak English well.

  Ruijin Intercontinental has the make up of a great hotel. It is the perfect marriage of the old and new Shanghai. It’s conveniently located in the city with easy access and even in walking distance to many interesting sites. The staff is efficient enough but feels like they don’t bother going the extra mile to provide extraordinary customer service. The room service staff did not seem to understand my order because the menu I got in my room had a different numbering than the menu that she had despite me reading out the food description to her. They ended up delivering something totally differently from what I wanted and didn’t seem apologetic about it at all.

  Overall the location and grounds of this hotel are great, the lobby is grand, and the staff are welcoming. The gym is great and it's peaceful to walk around the hotel property. The only issue I had is the beds are very firm and made for an uncomfortably night sleep. I'm primarily a side sleeper and this bed hurt my hips and shoulders. I wish they could offer some kind of tempurpedic mattress topper or someone.

  The environment and location is awesome. Other than that, I can't think of anything good. The first night, we had to ask to change room because the whole room smells moldy. There were hairs in bath tub when I checked in, and the anti-slipper mat was super dirty with hairs too. We were allowed to change room the second day, but the new room still smells. Breakfast is just average. I waited for an Omelette for 15 minutes. Worst of all, staff wasn't nice. I've liked IHG for friendly staff, but apparently this hotel doesn't have it. The manager was quite nice, but everyone else wasn't experienced or nice. Concierge guys didn't help me with luggage either. They literally watched me taking off luggage from a taxi and struggled to walk to the front desk with 4 pcs of suitcases on hand.

  My first stay here, after having stayed at other Intercontinental hotels in Shanghai. The hotel sits within a posh garden. Check-in was efficient and I was assigned a room at Main Building. Having read about reports that some of the rooms come with small windows and room is dim, I was pleased that I was assigned a room that gives me a nice view of the garden with big windows. Room is very well-kept and bed is comfy. TV comes with both domestic and international channels. However, it appears that during my stay, the TV signal for domestic channels are weak and I am not able to view some of the Chinese channels during my 3-night stay. I have my breakfast in the restaurant in the Main Building. The spread is extensive and nice with wide selection of food. However, the cooked food can get cold and hard when I had my breakfast around 930am. The egg station is busy with only one chef coping with numerous orders from guests. I visited the Club Lounge during the happy hour in the evening. The lounge is very well-kept and staff are very attentive. There are wide selection of alcoholic and other beverages including warm food. As I am staying in the Main Building, it can be quite a walk to and fro the Club Lounge. When I was returning to my room, it was dark and I ended up losing my way around the big compound. Luckily the staff around was able to guide me back to the Main Building. Hotel is situated near MRT station and within walking distance to shopping malls. Overall a pleasant stay despite minor issues encountered during the stay.

  The front desk team is always warm and responsive. They are there whenever I have a need. The team is outstanding. The restaurant and lounge team also takes a great care of loyal customers and we appreciate it. Hope the swimming pool focuses on serving the hotel guest instead of selling membership.   We stayed at Intercontinental Ruijin Shanghai for 4 nights and had a splendid time. The location and atmosphere of the hotel make it unlike any other hotel in Shanghai. It is truly a peaceful refuge away from the bustle of Shanghai, while at the same time being walking distance to interesting areas of the Former French Concession. The territory of the hotel is kept up extremely well and is so pleasant for evening walks. We really enjoyed the service from general manager Kim and his team at the Club Intercontinental Lounge. They ensured we had all that we needed and also provided us with tailored recommendations to get the most from our stay and visit to Shanghai. Can't recommend this hotel enough!

  Following my previous stay at this hotel 2 days earlier, I stayed again. This time I paid with cash rather than rewards points. As I had been told on my last visit, you can only get an upgrade if you are paying for the stay. Consequently, I got an upgrade. The check-in experience in the club wing was reasonable and considerably better than in the main lobby. However, my Spire Elite status was not mentioned and I was not offered any welcome amenities. Happy hour had finished so I had to pay for drinks in the club lounge. This hotel offers a choice of only TWO red wines! Unfortunately, the club lounge bar had only one of them available. They are both poor/mediocre wines. It took a great deal of time and effort for the staff to locate a bottle and bring it to the club lounge. We poured a couple of glasses and then decided to finish the bottle in our room. We were told that we were not allowed to take any glasses out of the lounge. I had to get to ordinary glasses from our room and pour the wine into them before I was allowed to go to our room. The hotel does not have proper air conditioning. Consequently, the bedroom was unbearably hot. The staff said it was as cool as it can go. The temp was 24 degrees C!!! This hotel is a beautiful building with lovely rooms. The service is sub standard and nobody really believes in putting the customer first. It is not a proper Intercontinental Hotel.

  Lovely property, great bathrooms, this hotel lacks in the ability of staff to communicate in English or even understand basic requests, often requests are not completed or worse ignored and one has to ask several times. Rooms can be warm in the winter and there is no aircon so be warned. Great property and some great staff (Harris Qi) and the lady who checked me in at the club building and has done so regularly but still, just getting coffee capsules and milk is a mission. I also think IHG have got it wrong when upgrading their top tier members to the club rooms and excluding club access.....it is a poor show compared to the competition and will lose them loyal members. This hotel really needs to improve the language ability of staff, it knows this yet it does nothing. Breakfast is a joke with very few staff even able to understand a coffee order. The 3 star rating reflects these issues but the proeprty is actually lovely and an oasis in a bustling and busy city even though at check out at 6 am there was not a single staff member around the club building, no concierge, no reception no one at all, not a good good bye and no check out.

  I was greeted by very courteous staff and bellhops who were ready to jump into an electric car to shuttle me between the buildings of the hotel grounds. At check-in, the staff was polite and recognized my membership status. May, in customer service, had previously made a reservation for afternoon tea at Xin Yuan Lou, the hotel restaurant in the man building. The restaurant had options for Chinese, French, or English style afternoon tea sets. The restaurant was busy in the afternoon but the service staff was still great and attentive, and even though their responsibilities did not include calling me a cab to my next destination, they went ahead and did it for me (instead of simply pushing it onto the Concierge). Overall a very memorable experience.

  The hotel grounds are very nice. The old buildings have been very well preserved. Unfortunately the first room allocated to me, although a suite, had two small windows, one in the bedroom and the other in the bathroom, making the entire room very dark. I had to request for a change of room immediately. This new room which I stayed for three nights was nice with a huge balcony. Unfortunately the airconditioning system was bad from day one. It had to be cooled down at 10degree together with the balcony door opened for four hours before the room is cool enough for sleeping. Because of the extreme heat in the room, I did not sleep well at all. Even though I complained about the heat every night, they did not even asked if I wanted to change rooms!

  Went back after a less than satisfactory stay, it certainly felt better but there is still a huge struggle with staff and English language ability, there is little comprehension of needs or an understanding of what constitutes IC service. I had an issue with room temperature as the aircon was turned off centrally and whilst it was cool outside the rooms were very hot. I met Harris, a guest services manager who went out of his way to help and really is a reflection of the standard of service the hotel should be delivering. I am returning as I now have connected with Harris and feel he will ensure that expectatins are met. Thank you Harris.

  The Intercontinental Ruijin is located in a prime location, with stunning grounds in a park-like setting. The buildings are beautiful, and the beds are top-notch. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and in general quite clean and in good order. Meeting facilities are diverse - and not very consistent in their reliability and flexibility. Sometimes it's great, other times it's a bit of a roll of the dice. The staff are often attentive, sometimes smothering, and sometimes absent or incompetent (not meant as an insult, simply a statement that they don't have the skills or knowledge needed to do what is needed or expected... ). The dining facilities are huge and offer a tremendous variety of foods to cater to nearly every taste. Beverage services are sometimes not so reliable, and sometimes I felt my plate was whisked away before I was even finished...

  Really great hotel. From the luxurious grounds and lobby to the upscale room I felt welcome, secure and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The location was excellent and I enjoyed walking around the city in the area around the hotel and taxi service available at the front door was super. Attention to detail such as robes and slippers, extremely comfortable bed and pillows. The towels were top quality and the bath towel was actually heavy! A great overall experience and many great memories.,

  My wife and I arrived rather late, and missed spending very much time at the property the following day due to just a single night's stay. The hotel looks absolutely fabulous and I look forward to another stay in the future with more nights and some free time to take in everything the facility has to offer. The room upgrade was appreciated. We were a bit surprised that there was no breakfast included, so I will double check my corporate rate and booking more closely next time. Ms. Tina was fantastic at check-out, really knows how to turn on the service! Very good customer service by her - thanks Tina!

  Conveniently located across the street from the Shanghai Culture Square, the Ruijin sits in the midst of a parklike setting. Unfortunately for us there were 4 different weddings going on the weekend we stayed. What that means is that we didn't enjoy the grounds as much as we expected since the property was being dominated by setup people, guests and wedding party etc. Since we were on the first floor of the club building we faced one of the weddings, which was nice for them and their guests, but not so much for us who wanted to enjoy the quiet of the getaway. Also, anyone can enter the grounds of the hotel at anytime so it is comparable to staying at a nice hotel sitting in the middle of a public park. The grounds are well maintained and would be the envy of any hotel chain. The club building is separate from the high-rise main building. The room we had was exactly as pictured on the website. Breakfast for two and happy hour was included in the moderately expensive rate. The club dining room is beautiful and the staff there is attentive. We thought about returning with our two older children for holiday but there are no viable choices or packages here as the rooms are pretty much set up for 2 (maybe one small child). So we would recommend it for couples only.

  整個酒店在繁忙的魔都中是個很特別的存在。整體令人舒適放鬆，房間與酒廊的裝修也與現在常見的商務風格有極大的差異，很有味道，讓人感到置身於歷史之中。早餐的選擇很多樣化，包含了一些上海特色早餐，口味大多都不錯。 因為是晚上快11點鐘報到，感覺此時的服務品質並不到位，前台有點板著臉不親切，事前有信件聯絡要加購club待遇卻也沒有先幫我備註，需要我再次出示信件。另外大使的歡迎禮物也趕到敷衍。 倒是歡迎飲品選擇豐富，選擇酒類還有配上小零食，花茶也很好喝不是用茶包。隔天白天感受的服務也有所提升。

  This is my favorite hotel in Shanghai. The team put my preference in the system and I appreciated its accommodation. I recommended this hotel to my colleagues for traveling to Shanghai and they all like this hotel for its services and environment. This time I particularly wanted to praise Jeffrey, head chef. When I had my first buffet breakfast, I was looking for a local dish and asked a nearby employee, who was Jeffrey. He told me the hotel did not have it but if I would be here next day, he would have that dish available. I did have it next morning. This is quality service and a high level care for the hotel guest. It made my day and thank you Jeffrey and the team! HW

  瑞金洲际酒店位于上海市中心，酒店由多幢楼宇和花园组成。我们入住的房间在主楼，有花园景观，视野很好，内部装修有特色，很喜欢颜色的搭配，清洁度也很高。 酒店的服务态度非常好，特别是礼宾和前台。礼宾：非常主动的为我们打开车门，并询问是否有行李，热情指引我们到前台办理入住。前台：能够立即识别会员身份并赠送会员礼物，为我们安排了视野非常好的房间，并做了简单的介绍，全程笑脸。 酒店的设施完全达到五星级标准，早餐品种不多，但是很精致，有多种鲜榨果汁是亮点。酒店的健身中心位于贵宾楼，主楼步行过去需要5分钟，游泳池古典风格，非常干净。 总体而言，瑞金洲际酒店既有五星级硬件，又有五星级软件，是一家让客人住的很满意也很开心的酒店。

  这一次选择在这里入住是因为洽谈商务合作的地点离这个酒店很近，虽然只是短暂的一晚，却留下了非常美好和难忘的印象。在入住的前一天，便有酒店工作人员给我打电话为我将房间升级到了行政楼层，并安排了非常温磬非常舒服的房间。一到酒店，便感受到了如沐春风的尊贵待遇。没想到，在上海这个寸土寸金的繁华城市，还能有占地面积这么大的五星级酒店。在酒店，从贵宾楼层去到主楼需要走一些时间，但没关系，酒店有专门的观光车随时在门口恭候您去往酒店的任何地方，让你享受着贵族般的尊贵礼遇。

  整体来说都很不错。入住期间只遇到两个问题：1办理入住的时候是半夜，要从贵宾楼去主楼办理的时候由于下雨需要等电频车，大概等了10多分钟。第二天房卡在还没checkout时就不能刷了，去办理的时候也只有一位前台工作人员，又等了10几分钟才办好。2房间窗帘不能完全遮光，两边有明显透光。 其它体验都很棒。地点超级好，酒店的环境很美，对会员和大使的服务都超出期望。谢谢。

  床鋪是難得的軟硬適中，很舒服。員工的服務態度都非常的好。酒店也乾淨。建築物很美很迷人，晚上打燈的時候更是別有風情。 唯一有一個問題是，我們訂房的時候照片是兩張床的，但是後來酒店說兩床房客滿，若要加床需要加價。這個部分在網頁的製作上，如果能讓客人一開始就知道訂的是兩床房還是一大床的話會更好。 總結是很好的經驗。

  On the plus side this hotel consists of some fantastic historic buildings in the heart of Shanghai. The staff are always really helpful and attentive. Nice pool and fitness facilities. The gardens are great and offer a great resbite from the hustle and bustle of the city. On the down side, the main lobby bar is a soulless place to sit with canned “Classical Music” why do they torture you with that dreadful assault on the ears? What is wrong with a little piece and quite. The complex has a great history and they could do more to promote this. All in all, I love this hotel but just wish it had a nice relaxing bar similar to the “face bar” that was in building 4 in the late 1990s

  酒店环境不错，老建筑很漂亮，贵宾楼房间装潢也很典雅考究，员工训练有素。泳池体验很一般，更衣室很小很拥挤，按摩池更是基本上只能容纳一个人，其他设施也比较旧。另外会员赠送的饮料券只能在主楼用不能在行政酒廊用也是有些无语，住在贵宾楼还得专门跑过去，服务灵活性欠佳。大堂酒水吧地方很小，还接受预定，很容易就找不到位子坐

  A beautiful collection of buildings with classic architectural style with exquisitely maintained interiors that are classic and modern. The breakfast is great with a diverse array of foods to choose from. The guest rooms themselves are beautiful and grand. The staff is very friendly and accommodating at all times.   Overall, this hotel provides everything you would expect from an Intercontinental. Set in a tranquil location a few kilometres from the Bund waterfront, the hotel consists of a selection of low rise outbuildings surrounded by lovely parkland. While we loved the hustle and bustle of central Shanghai, we much preferred the less crowded parts. Areas like the French Concession, Tianzifang (our favourite) and Xintiandi are all within a short distance. Our room was in a separate building a short walk from the main reception, which did feel a bit odd to start with. Furnished and equipped to the usual standard with a nice view overlooking the grounds. Pool area is indoors, which is a slight drawback, although the area is very nice and my wife really enjoyed her massage. There is an outside terrace bar and a lobby bar. IHG card holders note that your free drinks vouchers are only valid in the lobby bar, which is annoying especially when the terrace bar is empty. But overall very good and one to recommend.

  优点： 1、位置和环境都非常好，难得闹中取静的花园酒店，逛街什么的都很方便，适合春天度假散心。 2、酒店内有电瓶车接送，招手即停，司机小哥态度很好。 缺点： 归属洲际管理之后服务还是跟不上，具体体现在： 1、入住后发现床尾巾上有污渍，想要打电话找人清理，打了三次值班经理都无人接听。下楼时正好遇到一位工作人员，说明情况后她直接让阿姨把床尾巾收走了，不知道是不是误会成是我入住之后弄脏的了。 2、大堂吧下午茶和早餐服务人员服务意识有待加强。下午茶极少主动添水，早餐无人领位，入座后无人询问是要红茶还是咖啡，餐桌上没有纸巾和糖包。 3、入住时刷信用卡预授权前没有告知我金额，退房确认解除预授权前没有主动给我提供账单确认。 其他： 1、房间比较狭小，装修得还是比较典雅的，该有的都有。 2、法式下午茶颜值很高，味道中规中矩，不过也不是特别贵（348一套含服务费税费，入住送两张迎宾饮料券可以直接抵扣茶水，所以总计也就348），性价比还可以。 总体来说，环境（非硬件设施，单指花园和建筑风格）给满分，服务绝对有问题。既然已经是洲际管理了就应该拿出对等的姿态，做到足够专业才对得起这么好的地方呀。

  冲着酒店环境入住，确实没有令人失望，酒店非常适合全家入住。酒廊环境很好，很适合拍照。在前期与酒店沟通时，发邮件屡次无果，就选择打电话，打电话时接电话的小姐态度非常不耐烦，入住时前台给我的感觉很不好。入住后，无论是打扫房间的阿姨还是游泳池的管理员态度非常好。我们在酒店闲逛时，向服务人员询问了很多问题，都得到了非常满意的答复，态度也很友善。

  在上海这样一个寸土寸金的地方拥有这样一个别致的大花园，是这家酒店最大的特色了。酒店本身就是一个非常不错的休闲景点，置身于其中让人在闹市中享受到了一份难得的宁静。 不足之处，客房在入住时候稍显过热，关闭空调打开窗户也没有好的效果，室内用的部分光源发热量很大，照着不太舒服。浴室维护比较一般，花洒和下水都不是很通畅，需要加强。

  Nice and quiet location in old villas situated in ruijin park. Rooms are spacious, beds very comfy, nice bathrooms with golden taps etc. old fashioned but beautiful. Front desk service is very good, but i still expected a bit more for gold members of IHG group, the dining restaurant needed quite so one time to prepare the dinner, maybe because we arrived quite late, however the food was quite ok, nothing special though. The grilled steak a la carte a bit overpriced. Some reviews say that the breakfast is so marvelous, actually its not, its just ordinary and there are hotels not far away that really have a magnificent breakfast. Service at breakfast is just basic, neither special nor fast, just typical with lots of opportunities for improvement.

  The InterContinental Ruijin is located in a very privileged area of Shanghai, right in the middle of the former French Concession area with its own lovely garden on the grounds. We felt very special to have this much beautiful green space right outside of our hotel room in the middle of Shanghai! Our room in building 2 is spacious even with a king-sized bed and a twin bed (for 3 adults), with the interior decor reminiscent of Shanghai in the 20'-30's. The bathroom with both a tub and a separate shower is especially spacious, bright, with plush bath linens and other amenities. We used the gym and found it very well equipped. The breakfast buffet at La Rue and our lunch at the Chinese restaurant were both delicious, with a very extensive menu. With all of those positives, it was a shame that the front desk did not deliver the same high level of standards: Check-in, with only 3-4 guests, was confusing, chaotic, inefficient, and even then we had to switch rooms because the first one was not right! There was some panic over the bill for lunch at the Chinese restaurant such that we were told very urgently to get back to sort it out, only to be told that it was a non-issue. (It made us feel awkward, but no apologies were offered.) Would we stay here again? Yes, because of the truly unique location and history of this property and the many other positive qualities. Just be prepared for the staff, in case they will not have improved ...

  The room we were given to has its own balcony(though when it rains there's not much cover on the balcony and the chairs get wet) overlooking the inner garden, the king bed is super comfortable and the decor is very classy. Definitely one of the best hotel room I ever stayed in. They even left a cake in the room to celebrate the occasion. My only complain is that the extra bed provided was kind of hard and not very comfortable. The club wing itself is located in a separate building with its own lobby, a reading room, and club intercontinental on the second floor , and the hotel gym, spa, and swimming pool is conveniently located on the first floor. In club intercontinental they serve afternoon tea, cocktail hour/dinner, and breakfast as well as some snacks and drinks throughout the day. Food&drink selection was quite good and service was good. Location of the hotel is very strategic, located in the French concession, very close to metro station and there's a lot of malls and restaurants around. And the hotel garden feels like an oasis in the middle of Shanghai. The garden is huge and has many parts, it's so nice to just walk around peacefully during the day or night when they lit up area. All in all it is definitely worth to pay extra for the club wing rooms. And I would gladly come back and stay in this hotel again next time I'm visiting Shanghai.

  I have stayed at this property at least 12 times in the past 12 months. The property is nice, full of history and somewhat convenient to the metro and business areas. Each time I stay, the staff are getting better with respects to language and delivering 5-star service. There is definitely room for improvement but the service isn't bad. The new GM/MD is turning things around nicely. Although there are several other IHG properties in Shanghai, the Ruijin is my preference.

  很美，周边美食也多，花园环境复古特别，与现代式酒店多了老上海欧式味道。所有的卫浴都是科勒，illy的胶囊咖啡，连水壶也用到了象印，比别家酒店的国产水壶干净多了。只要转身出门，就有服务员迅速整理好房间，摆好拖鞋，服务很棒。床也是我爱的高床，最爱的是水杯，手感很好。每到一个城市喜欢住有历史感的酒店，因为洲际的管理在服务和设施水平上又达到了新的高度，非常满意，不二选择。

  酒店地理位置非常好，处于一个大花园里面，非常安静。客房大小适中，卫生间比较满意，有浴缸可以泡澡。唯一不太满意的是马桶圈，坐到上面会移动。希望这个小细节可以注意改进一下。 早餐不尽人意，品种少，估计是假期的缘故，总是供应不上，服务人手不够，里面明明有空位，还要客人在外面等。 本次来就是住酒店的，花园里散散步很舒服，草地上坐坐非常舒服。 总体感受还是不错的。

  酒店领班非常好，看出我身体不适一直咳嗽，便主动提供姜汤驱寒，之后见面也嘘寒问暖，很是感动。 相比之前，同一天在贵宾楼遇见的一位工作人员态度就要差很多，还好之后几天入住贵宾楼碰见的服务人员都很赞。 酒店总体来说，值得推荐。难得的闹中取静的地方。 餐饮一般，尤其贵宾楼的餐饮，种类很少，不过住这么多次洲际貌似都是贵宾楼还不如普通早餐好，也许是人力成本原因。

  great rooms and service in a very nice park-like setting. The club amenities are also very well done. It would be a near perfect hotel except for the lack of control of room temperature. The buildings have central heat and the in-room thermostats do nothing. We were very hot and unable to sleep well. We opened doors and windows and were eaten by bugs. We complained and changed rooms but the temperature was the same. We tried the main building and the club building and had the same problem in both facilities. If you need a cool room to sleep comfortably that does not seem to be possible at this hotel.

  Given my preference for a calming hotel property over a large and impersonal one when on trips, this was such a nice find! In the middle of Shanghai, this historical property has wonderful rooms located across multiple small buildings spread across a palatial landscape. By Shanghai standards, excellent service. The rooms are spacious and warm with great views into the park-like property. It is conveniently located in the middle of the CBD and I found the location more convenient that two larger and more colder properties of another hotel group that I had stayed at before discovering Ruijin Intercon. Looking forward to my next visit in a month or two. To the Team at the hotel, thank you!

  It is a memorable stay at the hotel. It is great location at the centre of Shanghai. All the staffs are great and greeted with a smile. The suite is such a wonderful room with a view of the premises and everything is within reach. The conceirge is excellent - I left my backpack at the hotel and away in a taxi. The staff (too bad I forgot his name) called the taxi driver right away I was able to retrieve it . Just a service needs a big applause. Overall, i am highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Great team, Great hospitality, B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L 5 Class hotel. My little boy loves it.

  The hotel premises is very big with many buildings and green areas. I felt privacy. The hotel is nice looking with a big reception. The rooms are very good but the windows could be made more silent from the outside but my room was ok since it faced the back. Very high prices in lobby bar. No happy hour. Bar close to empty every day due to this. Happy hour from 5 to 8 with half prices could be something to try.

  酒店拥有非常漂亮的花园景观，预定乞丐房直接给升级到贵宾楼的行政房，所以在贵宾楼办理入住，洋气复古的2层楼小洋房，于是和花园更为靠近。 下午5点入住，不想到外面找吃的，加钱购买了行政待遇，在酒廊吃个简餐，事实证明这个决定非常正确。贵宾楼酒廊设计相当华丽漂亮，大幅的油画水晶吊灯把整个氛围衬托优雅舒适，酒廊的菜肴也很丰盛，海鲜汉堡以及新鲜水果一应俱全，期间厨师定时出来巡视空盘情况进行加菜。 稍显不足的是入住时候就和前台说好4点退房，是给小孩子午睡一下，但是2次被门铃打扰，询问是否可以退房打扫，在HP上面没有衔接好。

  Stayed for one night during the Chinese New year - lovely hotel and grounds. So nice to have a walk outside the hotel in secured surroundings. Stayed in executive area- buggy driven from check in building. Found the room too be too hot and could not be changed. The executive lounge is the best decor i have experienced and recommend a visit - HOWEVER would not recommend the afternoon tea and cocktail options were very poor and no coffee to go. The drinks options were good. The staff were excellent. Worth a visit -maybe not to the lounge until it is improved. They might say it was due to being in the Chinese New Year, however the lounge was busy so i suspect the options were the norm.

  整体入住体验非常好，酒店很漂亮，包括建筑跟房间的装修，都很有细节感。配的图片也非常漂亮。酒店的工作人员比较热情，行李生在陪同我们去房间的过程中，很热情地向我们介绍了酒店的一些历史以及建筑。房间很安静、环境很好。但是也有几点小小的不足，供酒店参加：1、我们预定的是行政间，但是前台办理入住的时候，没有告诉我们含行政待遇，也没用给我们行政待遇清单。后来我们另外去问了以后，才诶告知有行政待遇，而且清单也是向他们要了以后才给。如果我们没有主动问及，可能错过这些权益。虽然有时候并不一定用的上。2、我们入住的房间含一个露台，露台很棒，但是躺椅上配的垫子比较脏，导致躺椅只能作为摆设，希望能及时清洗更换。3、洗脸台盆里面有一根头发。4、我们登记入住的时候都出示了身份证，2位住客都为女性，但是开夜床的时候，放置的是一双男款拖鞋，非常非常大。当然这个不是什么大问题，但是我想如果能按性别提供用具，将会更加完美。

  A very unique hotel experience in Shanghai, with truly lovely grounds and hotel buildings. It was wonderful to stay somewhere with such character and history, and not just another anonymous modern hotel. The Reception desk staff at the Club building where we stayed were very helpful. Just three things I would consider as room for improvement: When we arrived, room service trays from the room next door to us had been left outside the door. That would have been ok except that they were still there two days later, along with our own room service trays from our first night at Shanghai Ruijin. I cannot understand why the maids or other staff did not see fit to remove the trays immediately. Looking at half eaten food on a tray when entering or leaving one's room for two days is not up to a 5-star professional standard. The breakfast options in the Club buildings where we stayed were limited, and the coffee and eggs order took a long time to arrive. On morning 2 of our visit, we ate breakfast at La Rue and it was very good. The lunch time meal variety at La Rue Restaurant is good quality but very limited.

  I have previously stayed at the Intercontinental Puxi and really enjoyed that hotel, and would have returned there, but the pictures of this garden atmosphere really intrigued me and got me to check it out. I was not disappointed, this is a fantastic hotel in the heart of the French Concession but if feels miles and decades away. I believe this hotel opened in the past year or two, but it has been designed to feel like a jazz era historic hotel, all the way down to the staff uniforms. Even with the historic design it still has all of the modern conveniences and very updated and well maintained. The internet is slow, standard for China. Once small complaint, there is a nice television connection panel, but no HDMI and the VGA connection does not have an audio jack to accompany. I ordered room service, which was hit or miss, service a bit more of a miss. The pizza was good. I also ate in the club lounge, which could honestly have provided all of my meals. The club breakfast was very good and extensive, look out for the menu on the table to order your complimentary mains. The service was very good, arranging taxis, attentive when needed, but not excessive and hovering. Overall I would recommend this hotel. It is different than other InterContinentals in the city, this feels secluded, classic, not like a city hotel, but in a central location.

  The hotel is located near the center making it easy to access by taxi the main points of interests within 10 minutes. The lovely gardens around the hotel give a quiet and relaxing atmosphere away from any noisy street activity. The facilities and rooms are very classy. The breakfast buffet is fabulous with a great choice of food to suit asian and western tastes. The dinner menu is limited but the dinner buffet has a large selection of food but it's the same every night. The health club offers a good selection of exercise equipment with steam batch, sauna and jacuzzi. The swimming pool is spacious and very nicely designed. The swimming pool is supposed to be open until 11pm according to the front desk, but the pool staff sanitize it around 10:45pm which can cut short your swimming experience if you intended to have a swimm after the gym as I had planned to be at the healthclub from 10pm to 11pm based on the 11pm closing time. Some of the staff, such as in the restaurant (especially men, for some reason) do not speak english as when you ask them something they go and get somebody else to come to your table asking what you need (usually a woman).

  酒店位于原上海租界区的中心，有很大很漂亮的花园、草坪，典型的上海老洋房的建筑式样，很有味道。酒店充满历史感，当你在大堂小坐、行政酒廊看书、缓缓沿着旋转扶梯拾阶而上、在花园里喝英式下午茶都能看感受到浓重的历史沉淀氛围。喜欢这种感觉。 酒店步行到田子坊和淮海路只需十分钟，步行到思南公馆只需8分钟，周边有许多小店可以逛，充分享受上海的小马路。 酒店的套房非常棒，无论主楼的还是行政楼。行政楼一楼最靠边的套房是我最喜欢的，因为有大大的阳台，可以晒太阳、看书、喝咖啡。酒店的浴缸很有腔调，完全是上世纪的设计，大爱！！！

  It's our first time visiting this vibrant city. We and our kid had a pleasant holiday in such beautiful heritage hotel. We love the garden and the indoor pool. We could see the effort of the hotel management in preserving the unique character of the place and providing the excellent service to the guests. In particular, please send my praise to the staff at the front desk and the room cleaning service at the club building where we stayed. They had been very helpful to us; some small details could make a huge impression. Thank you.

  As mentioned in numerous reviews the hotel is probably unique in Shanghai with low level buildings, spacious grounds and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The rooms in the Club wing are large and have good-sized bathrooms , though the shower does lack any real power. The La Rue eatery puts on an adequate breakfast but the evening buffet was poor and the restaurant was virtually empty on the 2 occasions we ate there. However, overall hotel is well worth a visit and we will be back again in the near future.

  For the 3rd time I stayed at this hotel, I found the hotel delivered its promise by improving its services and operation. Check-in front desk staff briefed me in details about the features offered by the hotel and Internet access. Apparently beefed up training was in place to elevate each staff member's awareness of their job. Breakfast menu served at the Club lounge was impressive, though most buffet dishes are geared towards Chinese cuisine due to increased customer base in China. Western breakfast can be ordered and prepared quickly. I was already satisfied with the facility in the past visits. I think this completes Ruijin's effort to become a full 5-star hotel. One suggestion, the hotel should consider acquiring a contracted car services for guests going and coming from airports. Such limousine services do not require capital investment, but it adds convenience and brings more revenue for the hotel.

  We spent two days here and were very pleased to find this hotel very quiet despite the rather busy location. Although we didn't visit the city, we used to live nearby this hotel and the location is excellent (near tianzifang, xintiandi, fuxing park, there's also that new theater on fuxing / shaanxi road...etc). Our club room in the main building was well arranged, confortable, very spacious and we enjoyed that illy coffee machine which makes some surprisingly good expressos. The staff was great and they spoke English (reception desk, room service, club), this is remarkable in China even though this is what you expect from such hotel. The club lounge was crowded during our stay, it looked more like a restaurant, very noisy, with people having an early diner here. According to the staff, this was exceptional. By the way the staff here was especially efficient and kind. We enjoyed our stay however I am disappointed by the extensive use of fake things such as plastic wood pretty much everywhere in the hotel. Why faking "old things" in the brand new buildings (because most of the hotel is new)? There probably are reasonable explanations but I still find this a bit disappointing for an intercontinental hotel.

  因为皇家大使给升级到行政楼层。但是房间外不知道哪幢楼在装修很吵，打前台电话一名男服务员接的电话，在我告知一半情况的时候该服务员直接拒绝更换房间并说因为大使会员太多都未退房。问题我打电话的时候已经是 16:30了。该服务员的态度确实不是很友好，我后来到了前台沟通才帮我把房间更换到了主楼。 下面说说酒店的其他感受吧。 1.酒店的几幢楼都感觉很有历史了，装修也很古典。 2.酒店的花园非常漂亮，散步走完整个酒店要30分钟，适合家庭及度假旅客。 3.酒店的健身房很不错，特别是游泳池，虽然没有下水，但是水质绝对的一流。而且是标准的50米。下次一定要尝试。 4

  This is a really beautiful hotel with lots of European colonial flavor. The french garden is none to any other hotel except Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki. A great place to hold wedding and any important events that desire happy memory. However, parts of the hotel are still under renovation during my visit and the construction setup is an eye sore to me. I find the staff are enthusiastic and pleasant to interact with. Small service details may need to be enhanced with better staff training, but nothing was so unusual that can prevent me to call this hotel to be a five star hotel very soon. It is going to be challenging for the new management to turn a government run facility into a total commercial service business. The bath is new and up to the high standard. Location is great if you are interested in downtown living. Subway station is close by and convenient. The food was not impressive by my criteria, but not worse than any other 5-star hotel. My great disappointment was that Champagne is not available at the Club Lounge like other Intercontinental hotels.

  Nice location in central concession. Good front desk staff. the several buildings makes it a bit complicated. rooms are big and well appointed. The lounge only offer very very limited service and selection for breakfast/tea/happy hour and staff is not very proactive in making you feel welcome. nice gym and indoor pool. slow wifi. Overall the hotel felt much more like a typical chinese business hotel than I expected.

  Typing this from my balcony with a view over the landscape gardens - in the middle of Shanghai: Yes, wonderful place! The hotel is soft open and currently consists of three buildings: One newly built high rise where the main front desk is located (I have not stayed there and RAs probably never will), a club building, and another one. Several other villas are under renovation. There's only one restaurant open right now, plus the main restaurant for breakfast. Club rooms are in a separate building. Club room: Located in a completely new-built building. Spacious 40 sqm, very classic decoration, including dark wood and chandeliers. Small balcony for two overlooking the beautiful gardens of the hotel. Club suite: A "longer" Club room with an additional living room right after the entrance, which one has to pass to get into the bedroom which is located in the builing's oriels. Suite bathroom is a bit bigger with two sinks. Both room have a spacious desk, coffee machines and a good minibar selection Club lounge: The Hotel is soft open, with the grand opening planned for May. So far, the lounge has just mediocre offering for evening, no breakfast, but a small selection for afternoon tea. The entire building number 2 is the club building, therefore, the lounge is spacious and an impressing place. Three stories high, huge paintings of old Shanghai on the wall - a very unique place. Staff is excellent, with outstanding service - better than some other ICs. Pros: - Welcome, upgrade, staff - Location is certainly good for a tourist or those whose business takes them to Nanjing Road area. - Grounds are beautiful, a very relaxing place in the middle of this huge city - yet you can hear noise from the street during the day. - The restaurant #only one open; the old famous one#, was pretty good and I'll return - This is a beautiful and unique hotel.
