  The room are quite small for three people to stay.But room and washroom was clean and comfortable.And the view from corridor of hotel to ghats was beautiful.Location of hotel is near to Meer ghats and also quote near to dashashwamedh ghat and Kashi Vishwanath temple .U can take auto from anywhere to reach godowila and walk to street of Kashi Vishwanath temple and try to find Shree Balaji sweet restaurant and from there a gali..walk around that gali (which people say meer ghats gali) and you will reached out to Alka hotel .For better ,u can ask or take help from shopkeeper around that gali to reach out the hotel .

  Overall rating - 3.5/5After a skeptical decision, I booked here.The room was clean & comfortable, the bed was clean too. Be prepared to walk atleast a km on narrow lanes with luggage as this place is not accessible by vehicles..The front desk reception staff is not very polite, the air con was not switching on and when asked, the front desk staff asked me why I needed Aircon in winter 😡 He did not fix it. same response for TV (dth not recharged)Asked for extra bed, they got annoyed that I asked at 10 pm (although they knew we were 3 guests staying) but eventually gave it..the restaurant served good hot and fresh food catering to our dietary needs.Highlights - Ganga / Ghat facing, Great views for photography, good restaurant, Kashi Vishwanath temple is 3 min walkCons - Some rude staff, Accessibility by vehicle very very limitedAverage stay. not very happy, not very upset

  We booked an AC room for 4 nights. But we were given a non-AC room on the excuse of winter season and non-availability of AC room. There is huge difference between the rates of those rooms. After a lot of arguments, we were given AC room but after one day. The first day we had to spend in non-AC room which is quite smaller. We had to shift to AC room on the 2nd day and because of this we had to change our entire schedule of visiting Varanasi. Moreover, one day before our check-out, we were asked to vacate the room by mistake. This shows the pathetic condition of hotel management. This kind of situation I never experienced before. However, the rooms are very neat and clean. The food quality is fresh and outstanding in its restaurant and price is moderate. Location wise it is excellent just on the bank of the Ganges. The cons are that there is no lift facility and there are steep stairs outside the hotel because of which it may cause some trouble to senior citizens. It is a distance away from the auto/Toto stand and requires to walk through narrow lanes to reach the hotel.

  Il est assez difficile de trouver un hôtel raisonnablement propre le long du Gange. Cet hôtel est parfait pour ces personnes. Super endroit. Ganga ci-dessous. Il faut 30 secondes à pied pour Meer ghat et 4 à 5 minutes pour le ghat principal. Même si vous n'obtenez pas de chambre avec vue sur le Gange, vous pouvez voir le Gange depuis la grande cour. J'avais l'habitude de lire des livres et d'y travailler. A l'intérieur de la chambre, eh bien, c'est correct, mais pas inconfortable. Le personnel est sympathique, ils peuvent organiser des bateaux à moindre coût, et même si vous demandez un taxi, ils transporteront vos bagages jusqu'à Godulia, vous pouvez donc compter sur eux.

  Отель находится в прекрасном месте, на одном из Гатов. Все прошло прекрасно. Единственное администратор сначала пытался лишить нас законного завтрака, который мы оплатили при бронировании, говоря, что завтрак не входит. В итоге после того как мы сказали, что мы оплатили и в любом случае они обязаны предоставить завтрак, администратор сдался. Но за такую цену лучше места не найти. Можете спокойно приезжать и останавливаться в этой гостинице.

  Although location of the hotel is much away from main road and there is no other way except walking a distance of approximately 600 meters with your luggage but the behavior of all staff is superb here and also the food quality of the restaurant. They are always ready for any help. The hotel is just beside Ganga River.

  ok but you have to walk a lot and that through narrow roads to reach hotel therefore if you are planning to come here dont carry much luggage. Big no to those who are coming by their cars, there is no parking facilities. if you objective is to stay for 3 days and want to explore old banaras narrow lanes then this is a good place to be there. kashi Vishwanath temple and ghats are very near to this hotel, that is a great advantage. those who are coming banaras for work then they can avoid this hotel. food ok.

  Location : The best... enjoy sacred River Gangama darshan through out your stay. Food : Tasty, delectable and flavourful Service : Is normally above standards except during heavy influx of guests Rooms : Maintained very well. Staff : is humble and helpful.

  L'hôtel trois étoiles est en train d'être labellisé, il n'y a rien, il n'y a aucune possibilité de prendre la rue de 3,3 pieds jusqu'à l'hôtel à la même hauteur, si vous ne demandez pas une seule bouteille d'eau dans la chambre, de l'argent, un une serviette, une table Tout simplement ordinaire personne ne peut l'atteindre

  location of the hotel is excellent, but it requires 15 minutes walk from Godawlia chawk to reach the hotel since no conveyance is allowed through this area. A C. room is fine but T.V.in non AC room didn't work during our stay. Drinking water is not provided by the hotel , one has to purchase it. Otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay in.

  Brilliant location, Hotel manager and staff were very helpful. Room was good, AC working, Toilet big and clean. Yes, food is bit costly but only vegetarian. All in all nice hotel and enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Hotel is almost in-between New Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and Dasaswamedh Ghat. You can just walk for 5 mins and reach the Dasaswamedh Ghat where the evening Aarti takes place. By walk, within minutes you can reach Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple and Vishalakshi Temple. From Godowlia crossing you can get several autos/rickshaw for other destinations as well like "Kaal Bhairav Mandir", "Durga Mata Mandir", "Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple" and etc. To reach - come to Godowlia crossing and walk towards temple gate (also called Singhh Dwar since it is very big gate and not that it has any lion face on it) on your left. Once entered the gate take first right and keep walking till you see markings on the wall which shows way to "Tripura Bairavi Temple". Take right from there and keep walking and till you hit dead end and in-front is Alka Hotel. It is near to Meer ghat.

  My overall experience is all good. pros - Very close to Ganga Ghat even one gate is open at it. Wonderful view. Hotel staff is Good and cooperative. Very near to gate no 2. Cons Hotel is in very congested place. No auto, Rickshaw can come to drop you at the hotel. Bit Expensive. Rooms are small and no place store your luggage.

  I stayed here with my family for one night on 24 June,pro - excellent location if you want to enjoy Ghat of river Ganga, even you can see Ganga Aarti from the hotel, Kashi Vishwanath temple is also nearby, nice helpful staff and manager,Cons - as it is near the Ghat so no vehicles are allowed to reach there, you have to walk almost 1.5 km to reach the hotel, don't trust GPS better you should ask the local people about the direction, I book the room for for two adult and one child, but the bad in the room is only sufficient for two adults, it is smaller than the regular double bed size, during my stay I was asking about the Wi-Fi they give me the password but there was no connectivity during my stay, I asked him about it but they said that it is a server issue, no almirah wardrobes hangers in the room, no intercom or telephone in the room

  we are having good time in the hotel Alka. staff is very cooperative, location is just on the Mir ghat of holy Ganges, food is good, room is also good. so thanks to management of Alka hotel as well as Goibibo.

  Firstly, i want to tell that ONLY thing i didn't like on my part was that since the hotel lies beside our holy river ganga, and all communication is restricted way before godowalia chauraha compelling oneself to walk for almost 800-900 mtrs. Apart from that hotel is awesome. It has good room and food in the restaurant is very delicious and hygienic. One can rely on having food at the hotel itself. Other thing is that courtyard is spacious and I have tried briefing it through pictures at my best possible way. Morning and evening hours is very wonderful as birds awake you with their sweet sounds.

  It was a great experience, room were neat and clean, ghat view was Excellent from the room and from the hotel. Food tasted superb. The only gripe i had that hotel is hard to locate esp. for a person who is visiting for the first time. room, view, food and location

  The stay and service are good but doesn't provide customer service at night i.e. there is no one at night at the reception. As it's a hotel someone should be at the reception 24x7. I couldn't go for Mangla aarti which is at 3:00 AM as the doors were locked at no one was available for assistance. How can someone reach out for assistance at night in case of an emergency? Also, the television in my room had a default language setup to the South Indian language which I could not change. It was good.

  I am sharing personal experiences, 1)Entry way to the hotel is necessarily through a very narrow, broken street of 15 minutes walk. 2)Although I booked well in advance with payment of full room rents,but in reception, finally you may be forced to take,the worst rooms.Because the good rooms will be provided to others,who have come directly,without bookings.The hotel management may not give the proper weightage to advance bookings. 3)You may find 1 or 2 staffs,active on your calls. 1)Hotel is secured for family. 2)Rooms and bathrooms are clean. 3)Nice experiences to stay,as the hotel is situated on the bank of river. 4) Dinning hall is good and clean. 5)Good foods are served with reasonable prices.

  Nice Hotel on Ghat. Clean Rooms. Better to take AC rooms. Nice View from Hotel. 5 minutes from Dashashmedh Ghat, 7-8 minutes from Kashi Viswanath Mandir. Restaurant food is good but price is on higher side. Helpful Staff. Good Hotel

  Amazing view of the Ganges from the hotel. Awesome restaurant "Apex" serving veg food which is made to order. Special mention of "Vishwakarma" who took great interest in the preparation. Great care by "Mukesh Sharma" in organising tours, Puja, visits and any issue arising during the stay. Good customer focus. The owners presence is felt in all aspects including pick-up & drops. The approach to the Hotel is adventurous but no complains once you have rested.

  Hotel was quite good. Convenient for both friends and family. Peace full environment. The best part is location of the hotel, near to Kashi ghat. Enjoy evening aarti from the hotels balcony. Easily accessible all ghats and city as well.Boat ride for exploring all kashi ghats just infront of Hotel. Approximately 3 km from railway station. Serene environment, not for party animals.Food little expensive but delicious ( Only veg)No attached bathroom for standard rooms.

  I booked this for my parents who were visiting Varanasi. as per them the hotel is at a great location (right on the river bank). staff are friendly and rooms are near and well maintained. only drawback would be that you would have to walk atleast for 10mins to reach the hotel public transport facilities such as cabs or autos are not allowed on the road to the hotel as the road is too small for them. having said that it's just 5 mins by walk from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

  The hotel's location is the best and worst thing about it. It's situated right on Mir ghat so you get a panoramic view of the Ganga river and just 10 minutes walk will take you to Dashashwamedha ghat where Ganga aarti happens in the evening. But because it's on the ghat you will have to find your way through the bylanes and carry your luggage yourself to the hotel because you won't find any rickshaw or anything in the bylanes. Rooms are clean and good. Because I was travelling with friends, I had chosen basic room without bathroom so I had to use common bathroom in the hotel. Bathrooms are good but toilets aren't. It's like the hotel owner decided to make 2 toilets in the space of 1. I am 5ft 8 and I had a real hard time using the toilet. My friend who is 5ft 10 used public toilet on the road instead of the hotel's. Hotel's rates for food are nominal but when in Benaras why eat at the hotel? Overall, I will rate this hotel 4/5.
